What a strange wee shop, not in terms of what it sells but in terms of it's odd location. Everyone knows where Tesco's in Yorkgate is because you can see it from the main road but what you might not know is that just inside the doors of Tesco there's an independant sports shop that gives the big chains a run for their money.
To be honest I'm not sure what the craic is here, to me it looks like they are selling items straight from the factory or perhaps it's a TK Maxx style of stock sourcing, all I know is that I love it.
Last night I was popping in to Tesco to garb a few bits and I walked past and thought I'd go and have a gander at the football boots on display, mine are getting a bit tatty. Anyway when I went in I was surprised about how cheap they were. There were Puma boots on sale that you'd expect to pay £50 plus for listed at £29.99. The only problem was that they only had selected sizes.
There were also football shirts of all the major teams hanging in the doorway - you name a team they had it. There's a Sports Direct about 2 minutes away at City Side Mall but If I were you I'd have a look in here first - you'd be supporting an indie shop and who knows you might even nab yourself a bargain. read more
