I recently purchased previously owned spa. Kevin arrived early and work tirelessly overcoming all issues that came up at the prior owners location: the obstructed path, some leftover water and the narrow gate. It took him a while (I'm sure a lot longer then he intended- 1 hr or more) to get that spa out of the backyard. Once he loaded it on his vehicle and got to my place it took less then 15min to set it up in the location I wanted it. He offered his expertise on the value of the spa I purchased and electrical needs I will need to get it running. He advise where to purchase new cover and filters as well. I am extremely please to deal with someone who did his job with such ease and was kind and informative. What he quoted over the phone was what he expected to receive as payment even though it took so much longer to get the job completed. I'm happy to recommend him to all yelpers! read more

I needed someone to move my hot tub from Concord to Petaluma so I came to yelp to help me. Yelp did not let me down! I got a reasonable quote to move the spa from Concord to Petaluma. I asked Kevin how much extra he would charge to move the current spa to the side yard to put the new one in that spot and he said no charge since he was already there! We just used these guys to move a freebie (thank you, Craigslist!). He was really easy to communicate with, and clearly explained how the whole process would work. When I first got my spa, the retailer arranged to have it hoisted over the roof into my yard - a cost that was built iinto the price and I'm still paying for it 4 years later! Well as the housing market fell and I lost my job, it was only a matter of time before we were facing short sale or foreclosure. The prospective buyer did not want to purchase the hot tub and financially it was impossible to contract another crane hoist at close to $1,000. We love out hot tub but needed to find a way to get it to our new residence. That is where the ever-so-confident, knowledgeable and talented Kevin of The Spa Hopper Movers enters the picture! One side of the yard is cinderblocked in and the other side is too narrow by close to 6" to get the spa down the side of the house. Kevin (MacGyver in disguise) made the spa "dance" through the patio sliders horizontally and the vertically through the family room and the door jam leading out to the garage with less than 1/16th of an inch of side clearance! Granted, he pulled some "limbo" moves getting through, but not a scratch on the woodwork or spa. The man is a genius! And a harder working man I have never met! The spa's new resting place was only across the street and down 2 houses (all accomplished with his infamous SLED!) No wheels or trolleys were ever used during the entire process! We traversed a series of tight 90 degree turns and in less than 3/4 hour the spa was moved form its old to its new resting place - waiting to be enjoyed for years to come! I cannot thank Kevin enough for holding our hand through the entire process. This man is incredible! ALL YOU YELPERS - you owe it to yourself to check with Kevini and The Spa Hoppers FIRST! Their service is superb, their prices are the best and when all is said and done - you are left with a smile - having entrusted your spa move to a pro and not being let down whatsoever. I bought a used (but nice) tub on CL and called around to several spa movers before settling on Kevin. His price was quite reasonable and he asked a lot of questions to understand everything that may impact the move before quoting me a price which turned out to be the most reasonable of all. He even told me to ask for the breaker from the previous owners who were more than happy to give it to me. (saved me some $ by not having to buy one). I debated giving a 2 or 3 as the initial service was great but the follow-up was lacking. We purchased a used spa from Kevin at the Contra Costa County Fair. We were very happy with the price and quality of the spa and he delivered it very quickly. He offered a 6 month warranty. When we first encountered an issue he promptly resolved it. However, when we encountered the next issue we had to follow-up multiple times with him and he has resolved the issue and our 6 month warranty is over. In summary, his delivery services are excellent but don't count on the warranty if you purchase a used spa from him. read more

I am a little hesitant to use Craigslist for service involving some degree of trust. But Kevin seemed to know what he was doing, and gave a great estimate. WOW!!! Not only is he great, but he knows what he is doing and all about hot tubs. I expected to see more than one guy, and expected I might have to help. No way. He has all the specialized equipment to move the tub, and drive it wherever it has to go, by himself. He worked fast and effectively, and was worth every penny. This is a field where there are many who may move other things, but he moves spas only. There cannot be many who know more about spas than Kevin, and I doubt anyone has the specialized equipment he has. For any price he is worth it, but he was reasonable. What a joke. He was hired to move a spa from my yard to my clients house and instead of moving it Kevin put on his"let me tell you whats wrong with this hat".He told her it should go to the dumps? How can one say that when it was just used and drained disconnected and not even turned on? My client was regretting her purchase and told me that based on the movers opinion that she didn't want it. I had just been in it and drained it yesterday and its in excellent working condition. Well she paid for it and she owns it. I then went beyond and called United Spas. I Told the client to call United Spas for herself and get a real assessment and solution to any potential valid concerns.They manufacture spas they know more about the spa than the mover. United Spas guaranteed to my client for it to work on my behalf and they would deliver it to the customer as well. Wow hire a mover and get opinions....Wonder what he's trying to sell her? I was VERY concerned about moving a used hot tub I purchased on craigslist. For starters, the tub had to go around seventy miles to get to our home. I spoke to numerous "spa mover" companies that advertised on CL and while some were better than others on the phone, Kevin clearly had a command of the situation that was unique. From a single photo, he was able to ask questions about my spa and the move that nobody had thought of as this wasn't a simple move and involved some tight turns and removing a piece of a fence. Kevin and his helper managed it with ease and professionalism. They were on time to the pick up site and even though we threw some curveballs at them with the location, and it was one of the hottest days of the year, they still finished early and with a great attitude. If you are looking to move a spa, this would be my first (and last) call.
