Luckily, I finally got someone out here and was able to do one of their Foto Ruta Weekly excursions. Even though I was already familiar with the area it was a super interesting way to experience the neighborhood through new eyes. The premise of taking photos based on a set of "clues" was really fun and creative and it was great to see the variety of interpretations that every participant had. I learned so much! And I saw the city with very different eyes. The professional photographers that run the tours are friendly and very knowledgeable. They know how to steer the tour while also letting us take our creative time. My pictures are so much more interesting now. My first guide gave me a big lesson in how to photograph people that was a real game changer. We signed up for a second 'custom' tour. I asked to see the city wake up. We went out before dawn and it was incredible! From the light playing on the water, to the vendors putting out their wares, to the people in the subway, Buenos Aires was waking up and we got to photograph it!
