I was hungry one night...so I went on UBER EATS and gave this place a shot. My daughter had recommended it. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak Potato and some lemon pepper wings. At first glance the potato looked great. It had a nice amount of cheese on it. However after I started eating it I was underwhelmed. In Atlanta Cheese steak consists of steak, cheese, onions and bell peppers. I don't know why Atlanta insists on putting bell peppers on Cheese Steaks. I'm from Philly. Bell Peppers are not automatically included. It basically was basically a Cheese Steak on top of a potato. No seasoning at all. Very bland. Once you eat the steak portion the potato is a waste. I don't find myself to be that picky but I guess I was expecting my taste buds to bloom or something. Sorry this missed the mark for me. However I will say I am happy to see another black owned restaurant in Green Briar Mall. They make it seem like this mall is not ever popping but it does the job in a pinch.

They take forever !!!!!!! If you're in a rush please don't order here lol. I arrived around 6pm . It was a sign saying they on a 30 minute break . I placed my order At 6:44 it wasn't ready until 7:55 . The food is delicious. Customer service sucks . It's only one cook and one cashier . I've been to their other locations . This is the worst location. It have potential but it need a bigger staff . I remember about two weeks ago they ran out of baked potatoes. We had to wait 5 hours for a new batch lol. Update THE OWNER REACHED OUT TO ME ON IG! He said this location is no longer associated with the company and he is taking this location to court

From the customer service to the food this place is A-OK with me. It is in the foodcourt of Greenbriar Mall. I ordered the veggie potatoe, 6 piece wings & a drink. The wings are small, which I prefer. They were cooked & seasoned to perfection. The veggie potato was probably the biggest potato I have ever seen full of veggie goodness!! I ordered my husband the shrimp & crab alfredo potatoe & he said it was delicious! When you order an entree u get 20 wings 4 $10 so that's what I did. I got the Southern Fried & they were awesome!! The only thing I would change is the mileage between this place & my house. The food is so good I could see myself going here a lot if it was closer.

I ordered the steak and cheese potato and added shrimp and crab meat. Order took well over an hour to prepare but i will wait for quality food. When my order came out she showed it to me and it appeared to look fine but once i dug into the potato the shrimp were micro sized not nice a plump like the pictures online and i didn't even find the crab meat. These shrimp look like the dried up pieces of shrimp you find in a shrimp flavored ramen noddle package lol. I can make a better baked potato at home

I'd highly recommend calling ahead to order. That being said, an even higher recommendation is to give this place a try. I've never seen a potato as big as the ones they serve here! And they sure do load those toppings on. When entering the Greenbriar Mall food court from inside the mall, The Sleepy Potato is located right on the corner on the left-hand side. My friend and I definitely waited more than 30 minutes for our orders. This is NOT a fast food joint in the literal sense. I got the veggie potato and a 15 piece order of wings, and my friend got the Philly cheesesteak potato. The good thing is that there is plenty of seating nearby since it's a food court. Also we were able to enjoy frozen drinks while we waited. Drinks are either included with every potato order and not explicitly stated on the menu, or the gentleman behind the counter was just being extra generous. We didn't inquire - just sat patiently, enjoyed the frozen goodness, and chatted. Also to be noted is that I paid about $13 for my potato and the 15 wings. This was due to getting 50% off for being a first-time customer. Score!! I was a bit disappointed with the wings, and most likely will just stick to the potatoes from now on. The wings were tiny and over-seasoned with my flavor of choice - lemon pepper. The veggie potato on the other hand... As I mentioned, it was HUGE! You can definitely get two meals out of one. There were plenty of veggies (and cheese) added in, and you can pick and choose as many (or as few) veggie choices as you'd like. I will certainly be trying out more potato options in the future.

I haven't actually been to this place, but my husband has been working in the area the last couple of weeks and has brought them home a few times and the whole family has enjoyed it. Why did we stop at bacon, butter, and sour cream on a baked potato and call that "loaded"? Sleepy Potato knows how to load a potato. I thought the Philly cheesesteak was my favorite, but last night he brought home the breakfast one, omg so good - steak, cheese, and scrambled eggs. I'm really going to have to venture down there one day, I saw the menu and have my eye on the seafood one.

Once upon a time, this was a Bacon Cheeseburger. My friend ordered a XL Potato and his container looked the same. Five Stars.

One of the best potatoes & fries I've had in Atlanta. The wait is kinda long but over all I was disappointed.

I've eaten here once or twice before. The food is definitely good. A huge potato stuffed with whatever you chose. This experience was less than satisfactory. First, I called at least 10 times (either busy signal or no answer). Finally someone answered and left me on hold for 13 mins. Then the woman picked up and hung up. I immediately called back. She answered and brushed me off about hanging up. Then as I ordered she said they don't accept phone orders for pickup unless you pay over the phone. I was not comfortable giving out my card information so I declined. I still ordered using ubereats and got it in a timely manner. I got the chicken bacon potato and added 6 wings. The potato was huge and not lacking on any of the fillings. I got the honey gold wings too. They were on the small side but I like them that way. The customer service is the basis for this review

Looks like GMO to me.

Good Lord this place is S.L.O.W!! We went in expecting to wait and was advised it would be 15-20 minutes before our veggie potatoe, fried mushrooms and steak and cheese potatoe was ready. Okay fine, no problem. 45 minutes later we are still waiting and when asked, the under 18 yr old cashier advised we needed to wait because only 1 potatoe was ready. Excuse me if I'm wrong but shouldn't a restaurant that specializes in potatoes have the potatoes prepped or be able to cook more than 1 at a time? The thing about it is that they're not the most amazing potatoes this side of Idaho. They are basic. With a little salt and pepper they become average. And to tell the truth I think they are GMO. (See pic)I doubt they have any smaller than a size 10.5 mens shoe. It's my fault really. I had reservations before but now I know for sure not to come back and after speaking with the General Manager, Billy. My decision is crystal clear. He claims they ran out of potatoes but I just so happen to see someone working on the oven in back. So the real culprit is they were taking the potaotes home to cook them and bringing them back to Greebrier. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Lol. Seriously they are definitely not worth a 1 hour wait. It would've been nice to have been informed of the delays or even an attempt to make things right but instead we lost 1 hour of our time at The Slouthy Potatoe. Beware.

It's not overwhelming, and to be honest there were so many other items on the menu I wanted to try, which is why I will be coming back. Brake Pad has a full bar & they also have a good craft beer selection and of course they have Sweetwater 420 & Hopsecutioner IPA. The items I had from the menu were the Salsa & Queso w/ chips. The salsa was great and the queso was surprisingly good. I did not have it in my bingo card that they would have great queso but they proved me wrong. For my main meal item I had the Truffle Chicken Salad Sandwich. I HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for a flavorful yet healthy option. I was only able to eat half the sandwich and I was full, so if you don't mind having more delicious Brake Pad cuisine To-Go, then I highly recommend. The atmosphere of Brake Pad was fun, vibrant, and the staff were amazing. The bartender was fun, and knowledgeable and is the one who recommended the Truffle Chicken Salad Between the vibe, the outdoor seating, the good food & the local vibe I highly recommend. Parking on the street is how it's done. A few designated spaces but around the corner is fine. Service is attentive and friendly. Refilling our cups, checking in and making sure we're good to go. Definitely worth the stop when in College Park.

My friend searched for a local restaurant with good reviews and found Thumbs Up. It was the right choice! The building is older, but the interior is nice, well kept and clean. Everything was delicious. I ordered a Build Your Own Omelette with grits (not pictured) and whole grain biscuit. Whole grain biscuit? I had never heard of such a thing. It was great, especially with the strawberry jam that accompanied it. The two other guys with me raved about their food, especially the perfectly seasoned Chicken Tenders. The grits were on point. The service was excellent and the lady who took care of us was friendly. Thumbs Up is definitely worth giving an opportunity.

It also came with a small shrimp and grits - a bit of spicy broth with shrimp and smooth grits. * Kiss my Grits - The bowl of the smoothest cheese grits with the best chopped chicken sausage I've ever had. The sauteed onions were a bit much and light fluffy scrambled eggs. *Side of potatoes - which came with green peppers and onions - I wished they were more integrated and instead of just laying on top of the potatoes. The portions were generous and I had leftovers to eat the next day.

We had to make a decision quickly when we were pivoting, and when we came across the great reviews and photos of the food. we didn't think twice about checking to see if we could make it happen. When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

Title: Flavor Explosion, Soulful Hospitality & a Last-Minute Meal That Turned Magical…read more Let me just say this: what started as a "quick bite before closing" turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We arrived at The Poach Social about 20 minutes before closing, unsure if we'd be rushed--but instead, we were welcomed with warmth and ease. Lived the ambiance. Hunter, our server, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel taken care of from the very start. Then came Victor, the owner and chef--and this is where things shifted from good to special. Without us even asking, he recommended a mocktail that felt like it was made just for me: a sorrel-based drink layered with ginger, spice, herbs, and fresh fruit. It was refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've had. We started with the jerk egg rolls... and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were clapping after the first bite. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, with a sweet-spicy sauce that just worked. We immediately knew we'd be taking more to go. For the main course, we ordered the Poach Social breakfast plate and the blackened salmon with polenta. The breakfast plate was comforting and well-executed, but the salmon dish? Absolutely unforgettable. Perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with creamy polenta and a rich sauce that brought everything together. It was a full-on flavor experience. The timing of everything--from drinks to apps to entrées--was seamless. Hunter checked in at the perfect moments, never too much, never too little. We ended up in a lovely conversation with Victor, who is not only talented but genuinely kind and passionate. He brought us complimentary slices of carrot cake, and even though we were already full... we ate every bite. No regrets. It was phenomenal. What I loved most is that this place doesn't just serve food--it creates an experience. There's intention, care, and heart behind everything. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves to thrive. We will absolutely be back.

This place is an absolute no! I don't care about hype, newness, or happy hour specials. If you have no food! And the service is trash! Keep it. Went here for happy hour, I think an oxtail item they were out of, and the $1.50 oysters. Ofc the bar for this to be new, felt old in there. The place was semi full, but had limited servers and 1 bartender. The manager spent his time correcting tabs, apologizing to guests, and scolding servers. Our server was a couch chewer for sure. This girl kept forgetting our drinks, and some of the items we ordered and lied about the food wait times. We spent entirely too long in there waiting for food and drinks. A shift change, not my problem. Be efficient. Sad part is, the food was really good, specifically the oysters when we finally got them, and the stir fry rice. My drink was weak, my salmon burger had a nice texture, it was fresh, but dry and flavorless. No need to return. I have countless places to try happy hour menus with oysters, if you put service above all else as I do, this is a no. The manager ended up comping our oysters as well and shared his frustration. I felt for him. They need to fix it.
