I was SO looking forward to a great bakery option near our Air BnB. Reviews mentioned it was similar to Mike's in Boston so expectations were high. Unfortunately this was a bit of a miss. We ordered three pastries, would have ordered more, but the selection was somewhat limited. The lobster tail with cream was excellent. The Napoleon was good, but the pastry layers were pretty mushy. Eclair pastry was tough and too chewy. The other issue was food safety. The woman serving us had her mask down so that it did not cover her nose, the entire time we were there and she handled the pastries with her bare hands then handled cash. After having a fantastic lunch and Overall experience at the Sicilian Butcher we came on over to the bakery for some dessert and it did not disappoint. The lady that served us was very nice and patient with us as we looked around to see what we wanted. We had to make our own cannolis so I got pistachio and cookie butter filling. It was delicious! I normally do not like cannolis but this was not your average cannoli. It was a fresh and crispy shell and the filling was so good. Finally stopped in for dessert on my birthday. I have had this place on my bucket list for quite some time. And it did not disappoint! I love bakeries and the Sicilian Baker was one of the best that I have visited. This Italian bakery is loaded with all of my favorites. If you are a cannoli lover they have lots of variations to choose from. You can pick your shell and filling to create everyone's favorites. There are about a dozen different cannoli creams to choose from but I stayed with a traditional cream and it was delicious. I could have eaten a bowl of it. There is a large assortment of traditional Italian cookies that are sold by the weight. We purchased just over a pound of our favorites. They were all freshly made and taste great. ABSOLUTE MUST TRY!! Nobody in Phoenix does Italian desserts like the Sicilian Butcher. I have yet to see a restaurant anywhere else with a Cannoli Bar. I have had the majority of desserts they offer and I have not been disappointed with any of them. I have had a birthday cake made, Nutella Cake, Cheesecake, Tiramisu, an assortment of cannolis and cookies. The Cannoli bar is truly unique and works as if you are ordering ice cream. They have about 12 flavors and let you sample until you find your favorite. My personal favorite is the Oreo. I enjoyed the Oreo so much that I got a Cannoli birthday cake with Oreo filling. It is not advertised that they can do this but I asked anyways and they did a great job with it. Everyone who tried a piece wants one for their birthdays with their favorite flavor. If you love chocolate then the Nutella Cake is for you. While being rich in flavor it still manages to feel light. The cheesecake will definitely become one of your new favorites. The crust is thin and tender while the filling was smooth, creamy, rich and delicate (pretty perfect of a cheesecake). The Tiramisu is really tasty as long as you enjoy mascarpone cheese. The ratio of the mascarpone to cake can be overwhelming but leaves you wanting more after every bite. All of the cookies are great Italian cookies with my favorite being the Italian flag and amaretti. Overall, the Sicilian Baker is a must try for desserts. The Sicilian Butcher has brought about a new concept, this time you get to customize cannolis up to a foot long! Located right next door to the Sicilian Butcher is their newest concept, the Sicilian Baker. That's right, on the premises is a legit baker direct from Sicily to make some traditional Italian desserts for the masses. Today was their grand opening and everything was organized extremely well. The family sang Italian songs and you just felt like a part of the familia. Inside they have fun kitschy decor like rolling pins hanging from the ceiling and of course a whisk light. When you first walk in, it's hard to mess the gorgeous espresso machine. They whip up espresso drinks that they say are familiar to if you were in Sicily itself. I tried the White Mocha Raspberry and it was fantastic. The beans were rich and the flavor was a wow without being over powerful or sweet. Now for the cannolis! You get to customize the size, type of shell, filling and toppings. One of the few places you can get a foot long cannoli. It is made fresh so you don't get a soggy cannoli. I ordered the foot long cannoli with cookies and cream filling, chocolate dipped shell and chocolate topping. I must tell you this in one of the best Cannolis I have ever had and I'm from Boston! I also snagged a Cassatina pastry and a Bresaolo sandwich. The sandwich is huge, so I had to cut it half but the Italian meats mixed with the goat cheese and arugula was delicious. Overall I love this concept and I think they will do extremely well. Wish they had lobstah tails as it was originally put on their menu but they told me they are working on perfecting the recipe. This place was awesome! Grabbed a few cookies to go as you can never go wrong with a cookie. Got a few fog cookies, Italian wedding cookie, apricot thumbprint cookie and a rainbow cookie. Everything tasted great and the kids loved the cookies. The bakery is attached to the Sicilian Butcher which we will have to go back and try. We've been wanting to come get some cannolis ever since we heard the place. I'm glad we came because the cannolis were amazing! The fillings were delicious. I opted for the regular shell with white chocolate and strawberry filling. All for $4.50. I think it's soooo worth it! Huge cannoli and so delicious! Although I must say, the service wasn't the best. We did get served quickly but the lady upfront seemed like she was not happy to have customers. Other than that minor thing, I think we'll be back for more!! read more

Ahh so hard to review a new place ... hoping they had worked out some kinks but was super disappointed that we spent close to $20 on trying cookie bar , the cream stuffed doughnut and a cake all to be completely disappointed . All was super dry ! Minimal flavor , nothing you would jump to come back the next day for . I'm hoping maybe it was just figuring out the recipes and maybe storage techniques ? I'm not sure . Today is one of those days when I stop for lunch at my favorite place. Food was delicious as usual. My review this time is a complaint about the bakery side. As usual, I go for a dessert to go after lunch or dinner at the Sicilian Butcher and that's is a must for me and my family, since we come from Flagstaff for the great food and desserts. Well today, I am disappointed because the lady who helped with the dessert was not fair. I wanted a pint of gelato to go and what I got was a barely 2/3 of the container. Usually, and at all 3 locations i have went to, they pack tight the containers. She didn't even put on the right lid, a pint of ice cream container with a cap from drinking cups. My son was upset because the 2 flavors cup he wanted was like 1/2 full. Usually, I take more flavors to go but when I have seen the way she served I refrained. This review is not meant to deter others from going on the contrary, i encourage anyone to try the Sicilian Butcher. I will still go and enjoy the food and desserts. I just want the management to pay attention and make it fair to customers. read more

It was my first time they are kinda pricey but the portions are big plus I liked you got to choose the fillings you wanted. You were able to mix it up and do even two different fillings in one cannoli. I haven't tried there restaurant yet that's on my list at night time is the best time it's beautiful with the fireplace they have outside and sitting area with lights I do recommend dressing up if you do eat here it's kinda elegant and make reservations if possible they get packed on weekends read more

It is very difficult to rate . Next door was great so I have high expectations for the bakery. I love to bake so I am always to try fresh baked desserts . First the lattes are pretty good but the desserts didn't taste as fresh as I thought. Lots of options so we will go back and try others. Maybe we just didn't pick up good options.
