All its members are friendly professional and on top of things. From cleaning to maintenance to just going the extra mile, they have been amazing. And my renewal with Dana was a breeze. She cannot be more professional kind and friendly. The facilities are top notch. Gym and Yoga room are excellent, of si were picky I'd say next thing for gym is an online trainer TV. Again that is being picky. Everything is beyond we one could need for a great workout. Common areas are perfect. Spacious, modern, clean, easy to reserve where applicable. Parking is very affordable and one has no idea how valuable this is until winter has been set for a couple months. Location is perfect, close and easy access to highways and parks and close enough to drive or uber ride to uptown and even downtown. Supermarkets, pharmacy, parks, fast food and restaurants and within walking distance. Apartments are modern, spacious and quiet. Balconies are perfect size. The community is a mix of young professionals and some small families. All respectful, friendly and some outgoing. I guess we perceive differences depending on where we have lived in the world. Above all everyone is nice. Rules are enforced with a friendly heads up and us as tenants we have a duty to keep things clean, organized and within such set rules. I am thrilled I found this place to live! I'd recommend it in a second!

TL;DR: Poor value. Its location is its only redeeming quality, and there several better options…read morenext door. Pros: * Location. This area is beautiful. It's quaint, quiet, and has wonderful restaurants and shops nearby. Cons: * Price. I'd usually save this for last, but let's start strong: this place charges a premium for what it claims is a "luxury" apartment experience. There are several nearby complexes that cost less and offer considerably more. This place is coasting on its history and hoping you will too -- and that's its greatest weakness. * Smell. If you have even the faintest sensitivity to odor, cross this place off your list immediately. I'm not even talking about weed (though that's here too -- just not more than usual). I'm talking about grime. Filth. Hot wet garbage on a July afternoon. Don't be fooled by the model unit with its light wood floors and bright lighting. The rest of the place is dark, dank, and attacks your sense of smell like a WWI artillery barrage. * Garbage. It's everywhere. The trash chutes are perpetually backed up -- every single one, all the way to the top floor. This week, they announced "maintenance" on the chute system. The solution? Don't take your trash out until Sunday... or walk it to an off-site parking lot. Luxury! * Water. I have a sneaking suspicion that Nestlé secretly owns this complex and is bottling our water for profit. Hot water is a coin toss. Sometimes, water doesn't come out at all. Management says it's because all apartments and businesses in the complex share the same plumbing system. So when one goes down, we all go down. Pipes burst constantly. Just last week, there was a literal half foot (not hyperbole) of water in the parking structure, forming a lovely lagoon you had to wade through to get to your car. Combine that with the smell and garbage, and we've basically created our own boutique swamp ecosystem. At this point, I genuinely believe residents of Flint, MI have a more reliable water supply. There are many, many reasons to take your hard-earned money elsewhere -- somewhere with a cost-to-quality ratio that doesn't make you question your life choices. Luckily, this area has several much better apartment complexes where you can actually enjoy the place you call home. *Edit: I almost forgot one of my favorite amenities: The Poop Hill. For context, I love dogs. I'll let them lick my face without hesitation. My filth tolerance is elite. And even I am shaken by what lives in the courtyard. * At the center of the complex is a grassy hill, surrounded by a walking path. Innocent enough -- until you realize it's not just landscaping. It's a shrine. A steaming, fly-infested monument to neglected dog poop. Society has completely broken down here, turning this courtyard into a true no-man's land. The doors near the main elevator frequently blow open -- straight from, you guessed it, the courtyard. It's like stepping into a dog poop sauna every time you return home. And just to really drive it home? That's also where they've placed the communal grill and patio furniture. So go ahead -- fire up a burger just a few feet away from a sun-baked shrine to feces. Luxury.

First off very nice location. Office staff was nice and maintenance was good, but I would say do…read morenot move into this complex. It is not luxury it is old and in need of a make over. Numerous issues with the apartment, most were fixed promptly but at 3900.00 a month you would expect better. We had a bike stolen and a car broken into. Had another resident tell me her friend leaves her car unlocked because she was concerned her windows would get broken, all this in a secure garage. We had mice twice and had 2 dead mice on the floor as we moved out. Internet is 120.00 a month which is more than double than we pay now for the same service. Was charged 300.00 as a cleaning fee when we moved out. I was told one of the items not cleaned was the microwave/oven, which was wrong. They were both cleaned because I had to get the mouse poop out of the oven drawer. Overall, much better places to live.

I'm a newbie here at The Laurel, having moved in just a couple of months ago. I knew in the fall…read moreof 2021 that I would be moving to Minnesota, so I flew into Minneapolis in November of that year to start looking around. I had five or six apartment complexes on my list of buildings to tour, and when all was said and done, The Laurel was one of only two apartment complexes that I liked well enough to even think about renting. In January 2022, a one-bedroom became available at The Laurel, and I grabbed it. I'd been hoping for a two-bedroom, two bath, but I had to get my foot in the door and I figured I could always move into a two-bedroom when one became available. To tell you the truth, though, the apartments here at The Laurel are so very spacious that I've found a one-bedroom to be more than ample for me. I haven't met everyone yet, but everyone I've met so far is delightful, and so are Tony (the manager) and Adam (the assistant manager). It was Adam who gave me the tour of the grounds last November, and I have to say that he was an invaluable help to me, as I was relocating from out-of-state. Computers are not my strong suit and not everyone would have had the patience to walk me through one online necessity after another in the way that Adam did. He persevered without complaining and I so appreciated that. Thank you, Adam! :) This is the first apartment I've lived in in ages, and before I moved into The Laurel, I assumed I'd live here for a while and then, buy a property nearby in which to live. I guess I thought that because that's what I've been doing for decades, but I'm having a change of heart and could see myself living here forever. The complex is clean, quiet, and very well-maintained; and the amenities, while not exhaustive, are really very nice. I see the amenities as quality over quantity. To sum it up, I can't imagine giving The Laurel anything less than 5 stars, and if I could, I'd give management and the grounds even more than that. Suffice it to say, I love it here, and I think you would, too!

We had an underground parking spot included with our rent and paid pet rent for our dog. When we left, we were paying about $1,900 a month. To break our lease early, we had to pay $4k and 2 months of rent. It was a lot, and I'm not sure how much we paid for a security deposit but we only got about $500 back. Living at this complex was great. It's in a fantastic location, the units are newer and have lovely amenities, and maintenance lives in the building. I loved the sense of community and the quality of everything. I will really miss living here! It will only get better when they finish the rail station and you can get downtown even quicker. The secure package station was an amazing perk as well. The only cons I can think of are that the management company can be short staffed (but we loved talking with Kelly) and sometimes we'd get noise complaints. The complex is really big and feels like living at a hotel sometimes, but that was a pro for me. I loved that. I will miss living here and would recommend it!
