This mall is on the top 75% percentile. Mid mize, good set of stores, lot of parking, fairly vibrant and a very good food court.

    Art work on the wall.

In an age where most malls are on the brink of closing, Montebello remains strong. It is always busy and there are so many stores to chose from. There are also lots of dining options both from the food court and surrounding restaurants. I love this mall. You get a wonderful variety of LA sports gear from many stores. Jc Penney was having some great sales as well. Service has always been great at this mall.

Good! This is definitely one of the bigger malls that I've been to. They have a large range of shops and even some that you can't find at other malls. The workers that we interacted with were really nice and the prices are relatively similar to other locations. Compared to other locations of the stores that I've been to, they had a decent selection of items but not in my size. Parking is very easy since the place is gigantic. We didn't get to explore all of it, but were able to go into stores we liked. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Honestly, I'm surprised this place has such great reviews. We just came from here, and I think it was one of the worst malls in the area. It had no air conditioning. Walking around was just a hot mess. One of the escalators didn't work. It was busy but was missing something. They had the usual stores, but they were all blah. There are so many signs of sales and clearance items, but nothing actually worth buying. The food court had a sad selection. The only thing I think it had going for it was BJ's. The people who worked there look so miserable, only saying,"Welcome In" because it's mandatory. No one is actually trying to help you.

This mall has a moderate selection of stores, though the variety is limited. For food, options include Yogurtland and Starbucks inside the mall, with Olive Garden located nearby. Parking is convenient, thanks to a large lot. Santa is also available for photos.

Oh how I love the mall!!! ANY mall haha anyways! Montebello mall is a pretty decent mall with lots of selection! They have a nice Forever 21, Macy's, and Jcpenney's department stores. They had some good deals for Black Friday and I got all that I needed! I would say most of the time I do leave out with some good options with the selections they offer here. They have a BJ's and decent food court! It's more so on the affordable side, which is good! It's not that massive of a mall but it will do. I feel some more stores can be added though to make it more better. However, I do recommend it though for those cute stores for the women or tennis shoes stores because they have a lot of them and good options to choose from! The services here are pretty good with good customer service in the stores! It's easy parking and does get busy during the holidays! -Marshay D.

I used to come here all the time because it was different. After a long time and stopping here to see that it looks different from the last time I saw. The Food Court is now Patio Cafes. There are a few typical restaurants still here like Sbarro's for a slice. Panda Express for quick Chinese food plate. I wanted to see what Don Katsu was all about and it does look brand new. I walked around for a bit in the mall area. Everyone is walking like they have to get somewhere. A few stores that look interesting but I just window shopped. Sometimes I don't understand why some people have to wear so much cologne or perfume where there is nobody at this spot but that's all I could smell. That's way too much!!

I remember first coming here in 2003. They felt like true outlet stores, with heavily discounted merchandise. Today, it feels like a regular-priced mall. And many items are not cheap. For example, I was interested in a pair of jeans, but checked online, and Macy's was cheaper with their current sale! Several places had buy one, get one 50% off, so 25% off total, which you can find at a regular mall. There also used to be a larger variety of stores, especially in housewares. I would say 80% of the stores are now clothing or shoes. There is a Disney Outlet for toys, Samsonite for luggage, and Vitamin World. There are, of course, sunglasses. The food court is OK, but it gets very busy on the weekends. The only real sit-down restaurant is Ruby's. One thing to know: the cell phone reception is REALLY bad! Several locations have free wi-fi for customers, but I found a few required a password. Another not-so-smart thing is that the bathrooms near the food court have only 3 single-use bathrooms! There are larger ones towards the middle of the mall. But near a food court? Come on guys.

However... with a single story comes a TON of walking. Be prepared for that! There's a lot of your standard mall stuff here, so it's not worth mentioning about the department stores, but the mall portion is a fine experience. There are lots of clothing stores and dessert places, and there's a movie theater and some nice restaurants, but I will say there's NOT much to do as a fun activity for families with small kids. Older kids will have some things to do like VR or build-a-bear, but smaller kids will not. Food court is fine, there's some good options and I actually like that it's next to the entrance/exit of the mall so you don't have to be "stuck" in a second story hidden area forcing you to walk by stores while getting out of the mall. Standard mall food court options like Sbarro, it's really just a place to hang out. Again, nothing special, but super clean and open space brings this to an average 3/5 for me.

That being said, ROW DTLA is a dreamscape when it comes to filming content and just catching city vibes in a safe space. Located near the Arts District this space of buildings used to be utilized for the textile industry. With multi floored buildings creating rows of foot traffic on the ground this space is perfect for events, pop ups, and get togethers. It's one of the reasons why Smorgasburg is held here on Sundays. It's why on any given weekend there may be an event being held, whether it be to celebrate AAPI month or the different creatives in the area. This space is filled with homegrown businesses and unique shops to visit. One of my favorite places is Hightide which is a Japanese stationary and supplies shop. The vibes are immaculate and walking in really feels like being in a store in Japan. Another popular space is Scent Bar for those who love perfume and are aromaphiles. With plenty of small curated artists being featured in this apothecary of aromas, Scent Bar is a nice stop whilst visiting the Row. If you're looking for interesting and discussion worthy furniture A+R is a must, located at one of the ends of the Row. For good coffee with artistic vibes you got to check out GGET (Go Get Em Tiger). Next to that if you're looking for stronger waters is Flask & Field with smaller batch and independent distilleries and crafters. All of this and the parking is free for the first 2 hours. In LA, that's unheard of! And it's a large parking structure with modern infrastructure. Blessed. With all this, hopefully ROW DTLA will continue to grow with more businesses and still retain its charm as time marches forward. My Dad is no longer with us... he's been gone for almost 5 years now... miss you dearly and love you always Dad! Now I have taken over my Dad's place. I bring my Mom here all the time usually on Saturdays unless we have a prior arrangement with my brothers to eat elsewhere in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV) food galore hub LOL. Hey, my parents used to bring my 3 younger brothers and I out to SGV every weekend since the early 1980's until I started high school and that's when I went out with my parents less and less. We would ride in the back of my Dad's delivery truck (he had a furniture business)... man, those were the good fun old days! Now it's just my Mom and I in a Toyota Prius in the 21st century LOL! At the food court, there's actually a great variety of different ethnic foods. Here are my favorites... 1. For Vietnamese foods, Nuoc Mia Vien Dong is a wonderful choice... they offer 1 or 2 or 3 items plates for very reasonable prices and portions are huge! 2. For Chinese foods, Golden Bull Noodle is my go-to. They have the best and I mean BEST Hainan Chicken Rice... freshest and moistest chicken you'll ever eat! My Mom and I can eat this every weekend and not get bored of it... and we have done so on many occasions LOL. Black Pepper Beef or Chicken stir fry with thick egg noodles is excellent, too. 3. For Hong Kong Style Chinese foods, Harlem's Kitchen is your spot! Delicious wonton or dumpling egg noodle soup, beef chow fun, soy sauce chow mein, thousand egg pork/seafood congee, etc... you name it! They are always busy... that's a very good sign! 4. For Thai foods, your only choice is New Thai Star and that's all you need... just one good one! Pad See Ew Fried Tofu or Shrimp, Pad Woon Sen Seafood, Pad Thai Chicken, and Green Papaya Salad are my go-to dishes. Just great tasting foods all around. They have a very good Spicy Beef Bowl, but I don't eat beef anymore, but maybe I can ask them to replace it with seafood next time... we'll see. 5. For Vietnamese desserts and drinks, Hien Khanh is your gal! Their egg flan is the best of the best egg flan I have ever eaten in my life... so smooth and just perfect in texture & taste. Che Ba Mau has the freshest coconut milk plus your choice of up to 5 toppings. No one beats them in this category of desserts and drinks in SGV! They take home the trophy every time! Actually, you can't go wrong with any of the food vendors at this food court. I've tried them all... there are a few I prefer (above) over others (not mentioned above). Nevertheless, they are all good. It all boils down to what you want to eat at that moment... you have choices! Be grateful that you do. Happy Choosing! Besides the food court, I have shopped at the GW Supermarket for selective items. It's not my go-to supermarket at SGV, but it comes in handy whenever I need something quick and don't want to drive to San Gabriel Superstore. They also have shops inside and outside. I haven't checked out all their shops. Overall, it's a great shopping center. Parking can be a challenge though. They are always busy. Just be patient. We'll see you here next weekend LOL.
