We skipped out on other services such as the massage and the the body scrub this time around. But just with the admission alone, our time passed so fast. We loved the ability to just go from one area to another and the ability to go the cafeteria to eat and chit chat. The food was really good. We got assortment of items to share between the four of us and it was delicious. Though, the food price is a bit pricier than usual. I will definitely be coming back. Maybe I will try the scrub or massage there. Also tip--bring face masks so when you are hanging out in the common area, you can put face masks on.

From a 4 to a 2.5 stars…read more I came here recently to relax for a few hours, get some reading done, get a massage, and dine in their kitchen. They have raised their admission prices several times in the last 2 years. Upon arrival, I was contemplating on getting a massage or not and decided not to and instead just used my pre-purchased admission ticket. I would say the best thing here is their dining area. They have a good selection of Korean food and drinks including smoothies, juices, and even boba. I usually get their almond milk tea. My favorite food choices would be the tofu soup with seafood only (yes, you can ask for no beef) or the burnt bibimbap bowl with all the veggies and yes, you can also ask for a fully cooked egg instead of a Sunnyside up if you don't like runny eggs. My meal with a drink usually comes out to $26. The reason why I am lowering my rating is because their standing shower area stinks. For the last couple of times I've been here, that area smells either like mold or a sewer issue. Secondly, I witnessed one of their shower massage employees (they wear black tops and bottoms) use the restroom and left without washing her hands. Yes, she is a masseuse who doesn't wash her hands after using the toilet. I would never book any type of massage here based on that fact alone. One more thing, i also saw 2 women get into an argument. I was in a dry sauna room with 2 other females already there. One female came in and confronted someone else who was trying to relax for not picking up her towels in the other room. The lady who got confronted acted like she didn't speak English so the argument was brief. However, the lady who did the confronting called her a stupidass before walking away. LOL I'm laughing about it now but honestly it is suppose to be relaxing environment and chasing someone down over towels when you don't even work here is a bit much. Not very relaxing. I have 2 admission tickets left to use but after that I most likely won't be purchasing a packet again. This place doesn't have a luxury feel like it used to.

I finally had the chance to treat myself to a visit today, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. I especially enjoyed the themed rooms throughout the spa. My favorite was the cold room as it was incredibly refreshing, especially on such a hot California day. The entire experience was relaxing, clean, and just what I needed. I'm already looking forward to coming back, and next time I plan to bring my parents so they can enjoy the experience as well. Thank you, Spa Hue, for such a wonderful visit!

I left with a heat induced migraine. My family and I visit this spa often, but after today we will be reconsidering. We had to leave early since the heat and stuffiness was unbearable. It's so warm in the main area, it's the same temperature as outside (where there's a heat advisory) and it's almost the same temp as the charcoal room. The charcoal room actually felt cooler because it felt less stuffy. The cold room was almost room temp and was packed with people trying to cool off. Multiple people were fanning themselves or drenched with sweat. We've asked multiple times for the AC to be lowered, where staff informed us that it was the lowest the AC could go. No other measures were taken to help with the heat, no fans or anything were put out. Our family came to celebrate two birthdays and were hoping to relax. We were not able to relax at all and instead wasted $200 at this not enjoyable establishment. We asked if we could get a partial refund, which the spa stated they could not. They offered us travel size soaps as an apology, which I declined.

Having booked the service, we were allowed to utilize the amenities located in the spa. In order to get to the spa (if you're not staying in the hotel), you had to drive into the front entrance of the hotel. This is located on the side opposite of PCH. The only real option to park is through valet service which the spa takes care of as part of the cost of the service. Our massages were booked for 2pm but we arrived around 11:30am to have lunch and enjoy the amenities. The food was pretty good and the servings were plentiful. We got a chicken Cesar wrap and the charcuterie board. You're able to eat and have the food brought over just like you were ordering room service, it was definitely room service cost and they charged for delivery to the garden. After we finished eating, we lounged in the garden to catch some sun. This is the part where I say that it almost fit the bill... the weather loved tents providing shade had mold on the canvas. Maybe it was just weather warn because it does stay outside all year round? Not sure but I'm thinking that it definitely looked like mold to me. After the sun, we enjoyed the indoor amenities of steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. For me, there a few other patrons enjoying the amenities but my boyfriend said that he pretty much had the men's locker room all to himself. My favorite part about the amenities was the shower. The shower had a rainfall shower, a handheld shower and then several steam shower heads on three of the walls. The products in the shower smelled great and I would definitely use them again. For our massages, we have the couples suite. The room was absolutely gorgeous complete with 2 massage tables, 2 sinks, a gorgeous tub, 2 separate showers this beautiful stone piece on the far wall. Massages were great and relaxing. After the massages, our massage therapists led us out to the garden again to pretty much recover from the service and it was definitely needed. Upon checking it out from our service, we perused the gift shop. There were cute clothing pieces there as well as the products that were utilized as part of some of the services. When paying, they let us know that the gratuity was already covered in the cost so that was nice. Given the cost for each service, I thought it was a generous but also fair tip. Because we finished late afternoon, we decided to walk down to the pier and venture around there. We were able to keep the car there and the hotel bellman allowed us to store our gym bags in the hotel as well, all at no extra cost. If I was looking to splurge again, I would probably come back. What would sweeten the deal is if we were able to use the hotel pool too but they said that it is only allowed during the weekdays when the pool isn't too busy.

Next to it was the access to the workout room. Which had various machines and weight equipment.

We booked our appt for March 14th back in early to mid January. The day before, the spa needed to make a time change for our group and we moved it to one hour later than originally planned. No issues on our end. They communicated it clearly and even added foot massages due to the change. All of the technicians we had were great. I had Ruby and she was fantastic from beginning to end. I would go out of my way to request her again. I was super relaxed and felt very refreshed at the end. There were some guests that were there before us who were very talkative and social while getting their hair dried in the back at the end of their service. Because the space in the back is fully open to where people are getting their treatment it was a bit distracting and harder to relax until they left the spa. It could help if quiet rules were enforced to make sure all patrons at all stages of their service are getting the most peaceful experience throughout. Overall great first head spa experience. I'd be happy to come back!

The photos are a bit deceiving. The whole floor, including the entrance, were very cramped. It felt like one wrong move, one sneeze and I was going to disturb or knock into other patrons. It is very tight! Unfortunately, I did not find this experience relaxing at all. Ultimately, it felt more like a glorified facial rather than a head spa. It felt like my technician was everywhere and nowhere, seemingly not remembering the order of things. During the treatment, I began to feel a line of burning along my upper back and arms. Come to find out afterwards that I experienced chemical burns that coincides where the table/water line meet. There were just so many products used. I am not someone who is sensitive to products so this came as a surprise to me. When I pressed for information on brands, type of lotion, etc. both the technician and receptionist seemed clueless on what products their salon was stocked with. For the price I paid and the experience I had, I can't justify returning or recommending this establishment to anyone else.

They're premade cocktails in a small glass bottle that they didn't make themselves. I found that part to be pretty overpriced.
