When reaching out initially she had a great mix of packages and add ins to fit what we were looking for. She was flexible for our engagement photos. We were traveling from out of state to do the pictures on a Saturday. It was too windy to do our pictures and she rearranged part of her schedule to do it Sunday before we left. And the pictures were amazing! Up to the wedding she was very communicative about scheduling and also was there to answer some random questions I had about weddings and give me some opinions since she's been to a lot of weddings. Day of she was great with moving through the requested family pics quickly to get family to them to the reception. She also was organized and ready to go with all the bridal party and bride/groom shots/poses and left plenty of space for candids. knew I would love the pictures after our engagement photos but they surpassed my expectations. They were beautiful and a great way to remember our wedding. Lindsey was also so helpful at the wedding!! We were a "COVID Couple" that had originally planned to get married in May with 100+ guests, but…read morewhen quarantine rolled around, we made the difficult decision to move our date to September and cut our guest list to below 50. Through the whole process, Orlando's was right there with us with compassion, love, and understanding. They bent their own rules by doing away with their standard minimum guest count, still honored the per person price, gave us a partial refund and credit towards goods and services for the big day. This was totally above and beyond what we would have expected for any business in an industry hit extremely hard by the pandemic, they took the loss in fairness to us and that right there tells you the integrity of the business in extremely tough times. If that was how the story ended, that would be enough to give a 5 star review. But the wedding weekend absolutely blew us away and far exceeded our expectations. We booked out the majority of the rooms at the Lodge at Grant's Trail (owned by Orlando's), hosted our rehearsal dinner at the lodge, and had our reception at Orlando's. I would recommend this trifecta for any couple looking for a great place to host the wedding weekend. The lodge is a perfect Airbnb feel, with the privacy and convenience of a hotel room (having private bathrooms is nice). We had the entire lodge to ourselves that weekend which allowed us to have a central location for all of our family and friends to hang out before and after the official start times of our weekend events. The Mary Lincoln and Abe Lincoln room were perfect for bride/groom separated sleeping the night before and big suite on wedding night. The included breakfast is cooked to order and served as if you were at a restaurant. The venue space worked perfectly for a rehearsal dinner and allowed everyone to safely walk to their rooms after the party instead of having to drive. The lodge is a MUST add-on to the wedding weekend when booking at Orlando's. Did I mention it's walking distance to Orlando's event center?? Huge plus. Our reception was at Orlando's event center and it was everything we had hoped for and more. First of all, the room itself was beautifully decorated and was the perfect amount of space. They have three separate rooms in the event center, separated by air walls, which to be honest was a big concern for me going into it. I thought you might be able to hear everything going on the next room over, but never heard anything from the other rooms the whole night. The prices are a great value compared to everywhere else we looked (and we looked at a lot of places). Finally and most importantly, the staff there was incredible and put the icing on the cake of a perfect weekend. We ended up having Sam Orlando Jr. as our wedding coordinator and his customer service was EXCELLENT. Always willing to work with us and always went above and beyond to make us feel special and to ensure we had the most perfect weekend. From the top down, everyone on the staff was personable, friendly, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we felt special. Carol was a crowd favorite and Timmie the bartender even sent us a handwritten note after we got home from our honeymoon. The staff and the service are the reasons we will be returning to Orlando's for future gatherings and parties and why we would recommend anyone to book with Orlando's for their wedding weekend.

Naturally, I was somewhat worried about how this would play out on the day of. I think Jeremy and Melissa helped more than they may realize by bringing in their positive energy and expertise. I was able to forget about all of my worries and felt truly happy that day--Jeremy and Melissa were a huge part of that. I think this really speaks to the value of having photographers who are experienced and sensitive. As a fresh new resident of St Louis and moving quickly into a new relationship 3 days after my…read morefirst divorce, I was on the lookout for a wedding venue for marriage #2. I'll spend $1,000 on some shoes but a wedding? No way. My first and second marriage total come to about $150 and if I ever add a marriage #3, the total won't be more than $250. This was 5 years ago and I wasn't picky but we really found a gem. I wanted to get the wedding in right around Thanksgiving to have a future excuse to get out of family holidays. The quick scheduling (less than 2 weeks) and $75 happy hour special (between 12 and 2) were perfect! Canned champagne in the parking lot beforehand, a quick in and out that totaled no more than 30 minutes, a few friends and we were hitched! The morning was spent at the gym and the evening was spent eating waffles and drinking cocktails on Cherokee (after a costume change, of course!). So stress free and cheap. The background used to be pink/rose but it looks like they've painted it a nice grey to update. It also had some wild carpet which looks now to be wood. It is (or was) cheezy in a classy way, if you know what I mean. Now it may be a little nicer which is fine but I enjoyed the quirky charm. When you first come in, you spend a few minutes with the officiant in the office getting things laid out. Then, it's on! We wrote our own vows, made jokes, and overall loved the officiant. I cannot believe people spend so much on weddings when this is just perfect and gets the job done (over and over and over again, if necessary).
