This shop is owned by a sweet and lovely man who looks like he stepped right out of 1960... he'll help you to find anything you're after, and direct you around the haphazard piles and racks that are scattered everywhere. Strawberry Fields is a treasure-trove -- there is NO organisation whatsoever and you have to literally dig through everything to find what you're after. This isn't everyone's cup of tea but I LOVE it and relish the chance to find something genuinely unique. The prices are tiny too. Absolutely awesome, the best thing about Carlisle!

My mum put a gold bracelet into these guys to get the faulty lock fixed. The lock was a mini gold…read morepadlock that was worth about £30 (gold value) and had sentimental value too. They gave her the fixed bracelet back in a packet and when she got home she noticed that they hadn't included the original broken gold padlock in the package. When she went back , they were dismissive of her and said she should have asked for it back at the time. They were rude and refused to give her her gold back. She was really upset with her treatment and having lost something that was given to her by her late husband. I try to avoid people and businesses like this in my life and would recommend you do the same.

what a lovely shop !!!!!!!! an aladdins cave !!!! good second hand and new jewellery at cheaper…read more prices ...... i was looking for a ring for my daugher ,i looked in all the jewellery shops in carlisle ,but all were too pricey or they looked really cheap .i found this shop by accident (even though its been there for over 30 years ) i am glad i did the owner and his staff were very helpful / patient with me as i didnt know which /what ring i wanted to buy ... they took their time showing me all the rings .i found one that would suit my daughter (she loves it ) and it was a bigger ct diamond and half the price of the others i had seen .. since then i have been back a few times to get myself a ring /earrings .i am very happy with this friendly , easy to talk to shop owner and his staff ..i will be doing all my xmas shopping here !!!.i will be telling all my friends too .
