Went to The Saffron a couple of nights ago with some friends, we hadn't booked in advance, but they managed to fit us in.
The menu had a good selection of dishes which cater for all tastes of heat and flavour. The service was first-class, just enough attention to feel that you aren't being ignored, but not so much that they are intruding on your meal. Value for money was excellent, the portions are more than ample (i almost regret ordering a naan as well) and very filling.
Overall cost for 4 people (3 full courses + poppadoms and drinks etc) was around £100, which I think is very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided.
I'll definitely be going back and trying to organise a bigger group next time. read more
