Then I moved to Amsterdam, bought a house, and had big dreams for creating a beautiful, cozy, and inspiring home. I knew that eco-friendly, not-super expensive paint was what I was looking for. Other hardware stores have 'water based paint', but beyond that i was coming up short. Enter Duller & Co. They have three types of water-based paint (with chalk, with linseed oil, and with something else I forget). Their prices are reasonable and they can create any color of paint you want with any type of paint. Of course, they also have natural oil-based paints, and all kinds of other paints that are useful for various projects. My fiance and I new we wanted bold colors, and so we were able to purchase samples of different colors. We ended up with 3 samples of a yellow, three samples of a red, two of a purple, and bought the teal color we wanted (all for different rooms, of course!) No problem on ordering all of these samples. They even created 3 samples out of one liter, in order to keep our costs low. We had tons of questions...what type of paint for this? what type for that? how do you recommend we do this? how about that? what the heck is this gadget you are selling? do we need this? The owners are very friendly, patient, and helpful. You can tell they serve the real-deal painters and novices like us. We are going to use their print rollers to make a design on one of our walls and the owner was great in telling us how it can be done. We can even rent those rollers instead of buying them, which is an added plus. Without a doubt, this store will spark your creativity, not break the bank, and have you feeling like you can tackle any painting project in your home.

This place reminds me of Home Depot back in the states!…read more They have a ton of household items and things for your bike as well. Some things seemed more expensive to me, but most are reasonably priced. Everything is neatly organized and sorted out and the customer service is great. I bought a power drill and realized when I got home that I had forgot to use a coupon that I clipped out. Went back a few days later to pick up more things and asked them if I could also do a price adjustment for the power drill I had purchased. They told me my coupon had already expired, but they had another coupon that I could use and they adjusted it for me. Saved 20% instead of 25%, but still good! I'm a happy camper. Seems like they have coupons every week.

Further, he even made suggestions for ways we could complete our project even if it meant that we didn't end up purchasing the expensive item we thought we needed.

On the right side is an office space with offices, lunchroom but most importantly there is a huge dedicated art exhibit open to the public. We were lucky enough to catch Christo on the last day of the exhibition. Films of Christo's efforts to realize his massive art projects. The turmoils of getting the various local and state governments to agree to allow his vision. The people who actually make the vision a reality. It was super interesting and we could have stayed all day just looking at the various films - we were able to see the 18 mile wall in Sonoma/Marin California and the last part of the Colorado valley but there were more and we unfortunately did not plan our time we'll enough. It would have been great to have seen it! Then there were scale models of Christo's projects. Some of them reality such as the Berlin instillation. Some were ideas that.never came to light like The Whitney Museum. There were also early original Christo wrappings like a bicycle and paint cans as well as drawings, 3D renderings and all kinds of insights into the massive amount of work that goes into each of these projects Würth even had his very own museum/office space wrapped my Christo and there were pics of Würth with Christo as well as the pics of the Würth wrapped project Super worth a stop to see whatever will be next if you are in the area. About 1.5 hrs outside Amsterdam.......and it's FREE
