The museum is located in Downtown Roswell and is open daily from 9am-5pm. Admission for adults is $7 and kids 5-7 is $4. Seniors 65+, military and first responders pay $5. There's a gift shop inside to buy alien souvenirs. Be sure to also stop at Roswell UFO Spacewalk museum afterwards for a cool glow in the dark UFO and aliens experience it's only a 2 minute walk from this museum. Happy Yelping :)

You should know going in there's a lot of reading involved and this is not some flashy, high-tech, push a button type of museum. There are lots of displays and documents, timelines and witness accounts, newspaper clippings etc. so if you really want to take it all in, you'll need to give yourself some time. There's a really large research library inside which I found interesting. If you're really into UFO history, investigations, government reports and all of that you could easily spend hours in that section alone. The exhibits themselves are fine, although some of it feels a little dated and again, it's a lot of reading. It's also dog friendly and I'm pretty certain that the UFO exhibit with the life-size aliens kept my dog distracted long enough for me to read most of what I wanted to. There's definitely plenty to keep humans engaged as well if you enjoy learning about the 1947 Roswell incident and everything that followed. The gift shop was really cute; maybe my favorite part. Lots of quirky alien merch, books, shirts, and fun souvenirs. We got a giggly alien head headband in child size that we ended up putting on our dog. It was adorable. I also got a really nice knitted sweatshirt that I probably overpaid for but I love it. If you are looking for something very Roswell you will find it here. This is definitely a place worth visiting, especially if you've already come to the area, just remember to give yourself time and not rush it or expect some sort of interactive/theme park type experience.

We stayed from Friday to Saturday and here are some more tips about the town. -It's a small town so it was easy to park anywhere we wanted. The weekend we went was also the same time as Pinatafest and the National Air Races and even with these two events it was still easy to find parking. -Some of the streets off of Main street are worth exploring, you'll find remnants of the old cattle-town history. Our favorite was a giant silo that looked so good on a clear day. -I'm sure the locals are SO sick of alien questions and jokes and we met awesome people and got great responses when asking about more general advice like the best place to drink at and where we could get fry bread. -Eddie Macias is a local artist and you will see his murals and paintings throughout the town.

With small amts of rain in bursts it causes Main Street to basically be under water as well as many of the side street. Making it hard to do anything outside and a lot of the stuff is outside. Plenty of decent restaurants and a lot of alien decor and motif.

There is plenty of space to stop. The marker reads, "Roswell. Population 50,000. Elevation 3,612. Roswell was a watering place for the Pecos Valley cattle drives of the 1870s and 1880s. It was incorporated in 1891 and is the seat of Chaves County, named for Francisco Chaves, Civil War soldier and delegate to the U.S. Congress from the Territory of New Mexico. In the 1930s, Dr. Robert Goddard conducted experiments in liquid fuel rocket flights here." The reverse of the marker has a map with a number of different points of interest including the lakes, national wildlife refuge and fish hatchery. Roswell is the fifth-largest city in New Mexico. The tourism industry here is based on aerospace engineering and ufology museums and businesses, as well as alien-themed and spacecraft-themed iconography. The city also relies on New Mexico and Americana related tourism. The Roswell Invaders play in the Pecos League of professional baseball clubs. The Invaders wear lime-green uniforms to represent the city's extraterrestrial connections. [Review 17445 overall - 58 in New Mexico - 963 of 2022.]

You could do a historic space flight from the point of the aliens in '47 or the moon landing in '69; but we just did BrickTown. MacKenzie did a fantastic job of explaining our options. We sat in a room to watch an instructional video, and we were let loose to view the exhibit. Also, available are various skill levels of scavenger hunts that will make the exhibit viewing way more involved and enjoyable. Of course you can skip the scanveger, but it will make the museum a little tedious. The first room you'll see various aircraft, but the Roswell Air Show scene has a lot, aliens included, of course. The room leads into another with the halls lined with incredible LEGO Dot interpretations of the Mona Lisa Starry Night, and the Last Supper. You will then see a Pirates Cove scene and various famous buildings. I thought this 1-meter Titanic rendition was pretty good...even with the iceberg ahead. The coup de grace, is actually the interconnected scenes in the main gallery. Everything else gets lost here. You have an amusement park scene, connected to an apartment scene, connected to a park that is getting overrun by an alien attack - led by the biggest alien mother ship on the planet? The mother ship is blasting a huge laser downward and splits a camper can. There are moments of humor here as in the midst of their attack there aliens are assimilating to the activities. Towards the back you will see a Star Wars themed Xmas scene. Also, there is another bigger City themed Xmas display of events. I don't think this scene is permanent, but seasonal. If you love LEGOs you may want to drop in.

I headed over to check it out because I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything during our trip. Unfortunately they are closed on Mondays, so I was disappointed but we went ahead and started some activities and sightseeing and I made sure to come back the following day. When I walked up to the door I saw a sign attached that they were closed for lunch. What luck! I decided it was a sign and we would finish our trip without a visit here. Then, as we were headed back to our hotel, I saw that they were open and I couldn't help myself. Third time's a charm! This is an adorable little center with a cute photo ops and welcoming staff. You should definitely stop here Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to noon or 1:00 p.m. to 5:00.
