We approached Mr. Goel (or Greenfield Real Estate Services) for home search and purchase…read more This was our first time doing it in the US, and the experience was quite daunting. Mr. Goel nonetheless was able to allay many of our fears and doubts, and show us a wide array of prospective homes at diverse locations. More significantly, he helped us fix one final home that best fit our multiple conflicting criteria; he was empathetic when we wouldn't settle on his choice of home because of the long work commute time it entailed. Finally, he was quick to get us a home offer, and also connect us to auxiliary services (escrowing, house loan/mortgage, home insurance, etc) within the closing time frame of 1 month. Amazingly, he was very good with our toddler who accompanied us on every house search trip and to the escrow office! Tips for his clients: * Give him a clear picture of your dream residence, and your mortgage budget, right at the start. * He moves fast, just like the housing market does in the SF Bay. So move fast with him by visiting prospective houses as quickly as you can. * Till you make an offer, your timeline is largely flexible and driven by your needs and the housing market itself. * Once your offer is accepted, you will face hard deadlines - 3 days for 3% of the down-payment; a couple of weeks for loan finalization and insurance arrangement; and 1 month for the final closure and handover of property. You will need to sign several tens of home-related papers during this same time frame. Things to consider when prospecting: * Home mortgage budget * Commuting time (to work, etc) * School district (if you have school-going kids) Each of these will critically influence your home location.

Sudeep worked with us through every stage of the home buying process leveraging his expertise that spans across various aspects such as the housing market / pricing, insights into the location, quality of construction, potential for improvements etc. Here are a few examples of how Sudeep helped with our first home buying experience 1. Expertise & experience: Sudeep has a solid understanding of the bay area housing market & a ton of experience. He helped us understand nuances around location, value proposition, build quality etc. in great detail - something that first time home buyers like us are not generally accustomed to. 2. Buying process: We really appreciated Sudeep's efforts in explaining the entire process to us, for patiently answering all our questions, and for going above and beyond throughout the process. He also has very good connections and provided relevant references for aspects such as mortgage agents, and for post-purchase home improvements. 3. Trust: Throughout the entire process, Sudeep not only provided solid advice and guidance, but also explained everything in detail. He was always very candid with his opinions (even if it happened to be different from ours), and we never felt pressured into taking any decisions throughout the process. We knew we were getting very honest advice and this made it extremely easy for us as a home buyer.

Also, Jeff is really personable and other agents love to work with him. That is so important when there are multiple offers. There were several offers on our dream home and IMO, I believe that one of the reasons our offer was accepted was because the seller's agent wanted to work with Jeff. Jeff Sheets ~ Long story short:…read moreHe is an excellent choice. He is an expert you can thoroughly trust. He will take care of you. He is easy going. A great communicator whose response time is excellent. More in detail: Mr. Jeff Sheets became one of our most trusted and favourite business people - we loved dealing with him! Jeff Sheets is the best broker/realtor (and notary!) to do the business with. We used him 10 years ago when we bought this house; used him again to sell it, knowing this house could be a hard sell since the property was listed "as is". And we would use him again in a heartbeat if he were to relocate to our new location. It's funny how our level of trust we established and our interaction & relationship we came to develop is different from when we were buying vs when we were selling. We felt our relationship with Jeff Sheets definitely changed while trying to sell because we really had to make our decisions to listen to him and trust him completely. He didn't disappoint. Jeff remained in contact with us throughout the decade. When we finally became ready to put the sales of the house in action, we could only think of one man who would rise for the challenge. Jeff Sheets. The house needed to go on a market "as is". Jeff was quick to put his expertise to use; came up with great plans and strategized the details of the great marketing tactics. Knowing this is an "as is" sale he set the four things in motion to be done: complete paint job, full carpet replacement, landscaping and staging. This will bring out the strength of the property by giving the buyer a chance to visualise and imagine what this house could be for them. His brilliant plan offered us many hoops to jump through, but when the expert like Jeff, in this field of 20 years in his belt, says to jump, you just trust him and say how high... ... because he knows where he's leading you. Oh, and one more thing: he wants all the light bulbs to be "daylight LED" we didn't comprehend why we were spending $130 for light bulbs until we put them in and saw them for ourselves: the bright light shows the true colours of your surroundings as they are. They look fantastic. We soon fell in love with the light bulbs. We followed his instructions to the letter, ignoring our inconveniences, letting the man do what he does best. During the time of the most stress, he assured us with his confidence (not the vain empty conceited confidence, but one founded on years of experience and knowledge). He assured us that we can trust him to get this house sold quickly. He got us through, and we got offers. On the house with a few big challenges, termites, roof rpl and rotten wood..., he still managed multiple offers including the one offering 150k over our asking price. When we had to travel out of state in search of our new residence he willingly offered us to watch over our property. He even took care of our plants while we were gone. When we needed something to be notarised, he was right there and squeezed us in. During this process we definitely feel like our relationship became deeper. He came through for us again and again. So thankful that we had him on our side representing us. Thankful that he was our realtor.
