Plus their Morimoto XB LED bulbs are pretty sweet, too-- and they come in some sizes/colors that the major OEM names (Philips, OSRAM/Sylvania, etc.) don't seem to offer. I wish I could grab their stuff more easily on Amazon, but honestly if you need to spend a decent amount of money on ballasts or something else, paying for shipping here isn't too bad. For retrofitters, you do have to have a through understand of what you need and what you're buying-- seriously, do your research for your specific vehicle as well as the retrofit parts you plan to use before you buy. Make sure you understand right or left hand drive item choices are based on drivers position in the car.... NOT the side of the road you drive on. This is my only complaint for the company.. While Im sure it makes perfect sense, and perhaps works for most customers.. using the seated position in the car to describe what side of the road you drive on is not intuitive to all. No response called the next day Kelly answered said he see's my email but I need to wait for there email response. Today 5/8/19 I received no email. Just got a Mini H1 retrofit kit from these guys and had a local shop installed them. Their product is definitely one of the better aftermarket products out there as far as lighting. If you're savy enough their DIY guides on their site can save you a few hundreds in installation fees. I got their LED rings as well and that's a MUST have to complete the look of higher class cars. One of my HID bulbs from another vendor on the ClubLexus forums I bought from 3 years ago have started to fail prematurely. When I asked them what my options to replace the bulbs were, they either said to buy the same brand of bulb or go for the Philips 6000K D4S, which costs more than 2x as much as the one I bought from them originally. There was no way I was going to buy the same brand bulb only to have it fail again in such a short amount of time, nor did I want to spend $200 on the Philips. I scoured the forums and stumbled upon TRS. After some more research, I found the Morimoto XB XenGreen 5500K to be the best choice in terms of color output, lumens, and well under budget. When the bulbs arrived, which came quite quickly to my surprise, they were well packaged and included alcohol wipes. The presentation alone made the Morimoto bulbs seem like a higher quality product than what the ones I purchased for almost twice as much before. After installing one side of the bulbs, I turned on my headlights to do a quick comparison. The Moriomoto's were definitely brighter and had that nice hint of blue, which was exactly what I was looking for. Overall, I would highly recommend TRS to any of my friends. I have been a repeat customer with TRS for quite some time now. My latest purchase was a quad projector kit about a year ago for my E46 M3. Their initial design for the wiring harness had issues with water leaking into the relays. After about a year, my relays had corroded inside and were working intermittently. When I went to TRS for the replacement under warranty, they gave me the improved harnesses as replacement with no hassle. I installed these harnesses and had issues. One of them was my fault, the other was due to the car's Canbus. I don't want to go into too much detail on how much they helped me, but just want to say that these guys went above and beyond to troubleshoot my system and were there for me until we got the whole thing running correctly. TRS has told the supplier they shipped. after a month of not receiving any shipping updates they finally to the supplier oh we made a mistake wait another month . Horrible customer support and warranty is garbage. I purchased a kit from from them via one of their installers I found on THEIR website. Flash forward a couple of years and I am having issues with the relay. I called them up, knowing their is SUPPOSED to be a 3 year warranty on the Morimoto Mini D2S 3.0 kit than I purchased from them. However, before I could even tell them what my issue was, they said my warranty isn't valid since I had the parts shipped to someone else (their installer) and I didn't install it, and I would have to deal with the person who installed it, who just so happens to not be in business anymore. I found the installer through The Retrofit Source, ordered the parts from them through this guy, and now they are saying the warranty isn't valid? How does that work. If I buy an Xbox at target, do I go back to target 8 months later if it has issues? No, target would laugh and tell me to contact Microsoft. Even barring that, if I purchase a product, say a Dewalt drill from lowes, and my lowes goes out of business, does dewalt tell me my warranty is invalid because lowes went out of business? No they make it good and send me a F'ing new drill. No legit company does business this way like TRS. Anyway, the product has a three year warranty supposedly, but only if they feel like honoring it. Be very aware that your warranty will likely not be honored if you have any issues with their products. Poor company, poor customer support after spending nearly 300 dollars on parts with them. I'm not going to say much. Just check out the dates for my warranty replacement. I cannot describe how inconvenient it has been for me. My last sets of HIDs(another brand) lasted more than 4 years. What's the point of having warranty if your products constantly fails? Something happened with their quality control from 2014 into 2016. The cars just took turns to have light issues. It's not fun for anybody. I went back to the OEM yellow bulbs couple of times and they were at least reliable. 1st set HID 3Five 5000k purchased in Feb/14 (the oldest set i have). Broke in September/16. Never looked back. 1st replacement with LED. Life: 2.5 years. Daily driver. 2nd set HID 3Five 6000k purchased on cyber Monday Nov/14, warranty replacement for ballast on Feb/15, March/15, July/15, Sept/15, Dec/16 broke and never looked back. 2nd replacement with LED. Life: well you tell me. the last stretch was a little bit more than 1 year. Am i suppose to be happy? Daily driver but less than the 1st car. 3rd set HID 3Five 6000k purchased on cyber Monday Nov/14, warranty replacement for ballast on July/16, Sept/16 broke again and this time it wasn't the ballast. 3rd replacement with LED. Life: about 1.5 years. (I didn't get this set installed until after the new years 2015. Also got lazy with ballast replacement when it broke in spring 2016.) I was happy with everything I'd received for my 2008 Ram headlights. But for my 2006 Mercedes they had instructed me to get a canbus adapter which I did not need and they were unwilling to take it back Because I took too long to let them know I didn't need it. Also for the Mercedes I had ordered reverse LED bulbs. They threw codes on my Dash and flickered, I had also taken too long to install them so I was not able to return them. Their solution was for me to go buy some resistors and wire them in. This is not my area of expertise so I asked where I would even get them and then he stated they sell them but was unwilling to even help me out with a discount. On June 13th, ordered Jeep JL turn signals and fog lamps from them. I paid just under $600 for them. I also paid 37$ for 2-3 day shipping. It is July 18th and I have not received the product. With multiple calls and a different person every time, a claim was started on June 27th by Mike via email. I then tried to get help from USPS which is a whole different story. On 7/9 I talked with Carlos and he was attentive to my distress and said he would get this moving higher up and that they should have an answer from Emerson in one or two days. They do not insure the shipped product but they have their own insurance and they would contact me in a few days. I just called today 7/18 and Drew could not find the claim number I gave him and he wanted to start another claim. I am in a vicious circle of trying to get some sort of customer service. I ordered this product for my wife's birthday and that was 2 weeks ago. I just sent them the trail of emails that is connected to this matter. Maybe they will do the right thing and let me know if they are going to send me the product or help me move on from this $600 loss. I understand that they didnt loose the product, but anyone willing to pay for their product should have some piece of mind that they will receive it. To give these guys anything less than five stars is an insult to the quality work that they do. Like any electronics there are going to be defects and that is the nature of the beast and I will be honest that I have had issues with some of the products. For example the Morimoto ballast I purchased in May do not work so well in moderately cold temperatures (20-40 degrees). When I contacted TRS they acknowledged that it was a problem, addressed it, issued a recall and then will ship the new product as soon as it is in the warehouse. Also with the angel eyes I purchased, the LEDs died out sooner than I expected. Even though it was after warranty TRS offered to cut the price in half for the newer model and ship it for free. Although the product has given me a less than five star performance the "kill customer service" lives up to its name. These guys are passionate about their product and their customer service and that for me turned their four star product into a five star review. I am extremely happy with the purchases I have made from them and will purchase time and time again. Every time I have called (during business hours) the phone was answered, every time I have sent an email it was responded to in a reasonable time, every time I have had an issue it has been resolved, and every time I have had a question it has been answered. Don't let these other one star reviews turn you away from an awesome community, a solid product, and even better customer service. I made the mistake of buying my very first HID kit from a cheaper competitor, and within a year and a half the relay harness was toast and left me driving home at night with no headlights. After doing better research, I bought TRS' Morimoto harness and just got it installed tonight. Right out of the package I could tell immediately the difference in quality. I've dealt with The Retrofit Source/TRS on more than one occasion and I'm not quite satisfied with their service nor their product quality. I've also left an unfavorable rating on one of their products on their website, which they edited to give it a better rating, without my consent. That's dishonest and shady. Regarding their service, I had to call in and email regarding the angel eyes I purchased which burned out its drivers shortly after installation. They told me it's a widespread problem. I was told it would take 2 weeks to get me a working/updated replacement. 2 weeks had passed and still nothing. It took over a month to get me a replacement. Another instance of their poor service was when I emailed and asked that if I ordered within the next few minutes and choose 2-day shipping, will my order ship out that day so I can receive it on Friday, since it was near their closing time(Wednesday). They replied yes, they can get out the item so I can receive it on Friday. They didn't ship the item until the following day(Thursday) and I got the item on Monday since UPS doesn't deliver on Saturdays. I just wasted money paying for expedited shipping. I was planning on doing the retrofit that weekend. Now, with their products(Morimoto house brand), they're just unreliable or have QC issues. Morimoto XBALED Angel Eyes - voltage drivers burns out easily. Happened on 2 different sets of Angel Eyes. Really annoying since it burns out in under an hour of using it. Plus, to take everything apart again after you've done your wiring/soldering and redo it again, just sucks. Morimoto Mini D2S projectors - one of the projectors' solenoid got stuck in high beam mode after 3 months. It's a known issue for years that this could happen and they haven't resolved it yet. This is a huge safety issue as you could blind oncoming traffic and potentially cause an accident should your projector get stuck in high beam. I called them regarding this issue and their response wasn't helpful. I was told I have to adjust the shield. Really? The headlights are already sealed. Do I have to reopen to adjust? Headlights shouldn't require maintenance besides changing the bulb. What if this issue occurs again? Should the headlights be taken apart again? Morimoto FX-R projectors - it was advertised on their site that each projector was hand-tuned to perfection. One of the projectors I received had a cutoff that was bowing up. I sent them pictures of the cutoff bowing up/ wasn't straight and they won't acknowledge the issue. I was given an excuse that it could've been knocked out of calibration during shipping or installation. I don't see how that's possible since the projectors were packed properly, wrapped in bubble wrap in a box full of peanuts. It was also never taken apart during installation, so how could the shield be knocked out of calibration? If the shield indeed was knocked off during shipping/installation, then shouldn't it be knocked off even more under harsher conditions inside the headlight being subjected to all the road vibrations and bumps? I even asked them how I could fix this myself on which way to adjust the shield and they couldn't give a definite answer. If they are indeed QC'ing each projector, then they should know how to adjust it to get it perfect. Overall, TRS falls short in delivering great customer service/support and reliable products. Full of excuses and giving runarounds. Headaches after headaches. 1 star read more

Contrary to the 2 previous reviews, and unfortunately, I did not have such great experiences dealing with these guys. However, I have to do business with them because they are the only one carrying the Morimoto products. I believe, there is another one from eBay called Houstonretrofit carrying the Morimoto products as well, BUT, it can very well be the same seller with multiple names. When I called with questions, the "Customer Service Mgr" kept saying "I don't understand why you (me as the customer) feel this and that way......etc" Not only that, they were adamant about certain products not being available, or a manufacture does NOT make certain model. Yet when I the order arrived, it is the exact opposite. I felt very frustrated because my questions were not answered, and when they were, they are contradicting each other. Honestly, they have great products, but Customer Service is far from "killer" as they said, Service can be improved to make customers feel that their questions are answered and not going around circle. I also felt like they were doing customers favors by carrying the great products, and screw the customers because these products are not available anywhere else. I am sure some had great experiences dealing with these guys, others with mixed feeling, and for me, it was NOT. The only reason I gave this company a one star rating is because it does not allow a zero. I placed an $265.00 order and was promptly charged in full. It shipped via USPS Priority Mail with a 2-day expected delivery. It was shown out for delivery as expected that stated second day. Then the tracking stopped updating. I put in a claim with the post office as well as three email messages and phone messages to the order desk. After further repeated attempts to either get a refund or my order fulfilled, there has not been one returned call or email message even acknowledging that they have ANY interest in resolving this. I bought their 55w Morimoto HID kit with the premium bulbs. The bulbs had been very clearly installed before despite having an unbroken QC seal on 1 end. When I asked about the scuff marks on the bulbs (both had them) they said from looking at the capsule they appear unused which doesn't make since because it's gas in the capsule and they had to be turned in at least once at the factory to color match them. I will be testing everything this weekend and will update my review upon testing the full kit. read more

I got in touch with David from euro car accents on October 21st, 2014. We agreed on a set price also for me to drop off my projector kit and headlights. I traveled to his HOUSE, not a store front, his HOUSE. Which i am certain in order to be backed by a company as yourself, one needs to work out of a shop. That is problem number 1. He told me he was going to keep me informed through out the retrofit with comments, questions, pictures, etc.. He left me in the dark for days at a time. Until i was forced to put my foot down and email him in an aggressive manner. Only then did he respond. I traveled back down to his house to pick up my lights. We talked things out and we both misunderstood each other. We worked things out and he told me he would have it done some time through out the week. I did not attempt to contact him through out that week. Come Thursday, i asked how is it coming along and when should i be expecting him. His response, your headlights are complete. I will come to you tomorrow. How does after 8pm sound?. I accepted, and was awaiting his arrival. come 11pm on Friday, NO response. Ignoring my phone calls!?. Where did you find this kid?. I made an unexpected visit the next morning. His mother came out. Basically refusing to make the transaction with me. the price was 100. He also told me, they were COMPLETE. She gave me two options. Which was absolute BULLSHIT. since A. i was not trespassing, matter of fact i didnt even step foot on her property. And B. That clown was not at work, seeing as how she came out less than 2min WITH HEADLIGHTS IN HAND. I looked at the so called "FINISHED RETROFIT". not only was i furious, but i had no words that could explain. His so called "PERFECTION". This whole headache started on 10.21.2014. Ended on 11.16.2014. The pictures below are after i Took everything apart and basically had to get another retro fitter that lived in my community. I found out about him through a friend who saw me struggling with retro fit. I had to retrofit the projectors with out shrouds since he absolutely butchered them. Over cut them and also some kind of chemical or adhesive on the chrome. He mounted my projectors into the housing with F*CKING SILICONE!.. SILICONE!. I scrapped what i could of the tops and side of both of them. The mistakes with his cuts to the top of the reflector made it necessary to cut off the tops of the reflectors off. Now i am driving with no shrouds and half a reflector on both headlights. By all means, If you do not believe me under any circumstance, please do not hesitate to ask for more information. I purchased th Mini H1 6.0 projectors and XB LED halos for my retrofit and have been using their products for over a year. The projectors still lights up the road better than 80% of the cars out there and the halos are awesome too. The only downside to to XB halos is that some of the individual LEDs fail over time but TRS has great customer service and that's why I trust them. read more

I purchase about a year ago 2 sets of the morimoto xb halos, I went with the retrofit source with this purchase because it was what everyone recommended online in the forums, a couple months ago I place a pre order for 2 sets of the new xsb halos the total was $130, I send a email to them because I wanted to know if I did something wrong with the installation because after a year my old halos started failing and I was not aware of the warranty on them, they replied telling me that they are going to refund me for my new purchase because of the warranty on the old halo! Man!!!!! I was amaze that even without asking they gave me the refund! I really love a company that backs their product! I guess this website is an expert in fancy headlights. But they have everything to learn about caring at all about their website customers. If you buy something over retrofitsource.com website and it turns out you have a reason to return it, they will require you to log onto your account then your password will not work nor can it be changed. I did a lot of research on projectors and HID kits and decided to buy from The retrofit source, because of their good customer service. Believe it or not my experience was the opposite. At first when I placed the order they were very nice. When I got my stuff a week later, and was testing my D2S 4.0 projectors they looked like they came from different factories. Different colors and different amount of screws securing the lenses. The projected light on the wall had different patterns between the two projectors. Scuffs and scratches on the paint of the bracket. When I called they told me they will need to see pictures and will reply very fast within an hour or so. Called later that afternoon they said it takes a few days to review the pictures. Called the next day and asked for the guy I first talked to, if he can check out the pictures. He tells me it looked normal and if i WANT TO FIX IT I WILL HAVE TO SHIM THE LIGHT BULB WITH CARDBOARD AND THAT THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY NORMAL. After realizing I was talking to the wall basically, because he was repeating himself he gave me no other option but to hang up. Who makes you shim the light bulb, where is the quality control of the things you are selling? Not good and very disappointed. read more

Deformed lens on Morimoto D2S square projector. This appeared to be a manufacturing / casting issue on their new revision. It happens, that's what returns are for, and I elected for my standard round kit. Customer support was terrible. No update to ticket, had to call after 2 business days elapsed. Upon call, despite no ticket update, I was informed that techs looked and told me deformation was normal. I asked why their stock images to not reflect deformation. No response. Had to pay return shipping. Upon asking to reference my past orders, they could not locate any. Good to know if any of my customers wants a warranty return, as my records are more comprehensive then theirs. The company was just bought out, and could not expedite a replacement. They would be moving warehouse for 3 business days. I've shifted my ordering to HID Kit Pros. Same prices, same (better?) product, and cheaper shipping. Their team expedited shipment within 2 hours, and I had my replacements in 2 days. Customer service is everything! read more
