I also took a week long workshop on the photography of people. I learned so much from the fun and knowledgeable teachers and even more from the critique sessions of our work. I would love to take the summer intensive course, but I can't make myself leave my husband for six weeks! Please don't think twice if you're on the fence about trying a class here. They are a very well respected school in the Pacific Northwest.

I'm excited to be the first to offer a review up for RMSP!…read more I recently attended one of RMSP's weekend workshops that made a stop here in the Seattle area (Redmond, to be more specific.) From my research, RMSP looks to be one of the better training schools of Photography in the country. (That is of course, if you don't have the time or the money to invest in going back to school for a few years to get a Fine Arts Degree in Photography.) If however, you're looking to improve your skills as a photographer in virtually any aspect of photography - this is the school for you. They offer week long, on-location workshops, weekend workshops, and intensive trainings that last the entire summer. There's pretty much something to virtually any level of photographer. Since the longer classes are a bit on the pricier side, and since it was going to be my first experience with RMSP, I opted for the weekend seminar. It was totally affordable, local, and a great opportunity to get a glimpse of the kind of instruction that goes on at the school. I am happy to report, it was a great experience! Well worth the money (less than $200). The thing I liked the most is that the weekend seminar has basically two different tracks for you to choose from. If you're brand new to photography and have never used an SLR (non point and shoot) camera, this course will really help you to understand how to use your camera better so that you can take the kinds of shots that you bought your camera for in the first place. If, on the other hand, you're a little more advanced, know your camera pretty well, and just want to up your skills a few notches through some tips from experienced pros, there's a track here for you too. The instructors were very patient with the less knowledgeable participants, as well as extremely helpful and funny along the way. The power-point presentations were fantastic! Instead of dropping $200 or more on that new lens that you think will take better pictures for you - drop it on a weekend workshop with these guys. Invest in your knowledge of photography first so that you know how to use the equipment that you already have. You'd be amazed at how much your photography will improve though learning just how to use your equipment better. I hope that I'll eventually be able to afford to take one of RMSP's longer courses. However, in the meantime, I'm really happy with the knowledge, information and new skills I received through my weekend with RMSP. Highly recommended!

The Mission Mountains were exactly what we hoped to see and Joe got us very close to the mountains. The flight over Flathead Lake was a bonus. Joe is very knowledgeable about the area and if we knew small scenic flights were as affordable as Joe's, we would have scheduled at the start of our trip. On the plane, we had my husband, 6'-1" and 6'-0", 17 year old son. We all fit in comfortably and loved our flight. If we ever come back out, we would definitely fly with Joe again!

Once that plan fell thru we were bummed but I found Blue Goose online and it completely turned our day around. Joe was awesome! From the minute we walked into his hanger he was friendly and welcoming. The flight around Mission Valley was beautiful. His knowledge of the area really showed with the tour he provided via headsets throughout the flight. We got 15,000 years of history! He even made recommendations for dinner and pointed out where the places were while we flew by. I have to recommend a flight with Joe to anyone visiting the area. It's something you really really have to do because it gives you such an amazing point of view on the area that you would never get otherwise
