I've been here three times and each of those times the bartender would take my order and not say another word to me or ask if I needed another drink. My boys and I had a wonderful time this evening celebrating his birthday after party at The Pump Room. Although the house was packed deeper than a meat market at Albertsons on payday, we enjoyed the properly angled mirrors and fine selections of craft beers. A couple pitchers later and few rounds of billiards and we were roasting to the incoming year of fabulous fun. This is a fun, chill place to spend a lazy afternoon or evening. The drinks are cold and the bikini clad barmaids are hot, sometimes model quality hot. I don't know how they do it, but this dive bar consistently attracts some of the best looking girls in Orange County to work there. Not all of their girls are models, but enough of them are to give this hole in the wall an almost legendary reputation. The jukebox is connected to the Internet, which gives you access to a virtually unlimited amount of songs. And the best part, besides the beautiful bartenders themselves, is the mirror behind the bar at ground level. It's like magic. You can sit at the bar sipping a cold drink, and check out your sexy barmaid's cleavage and backside, all in the same view. It's simple, sexy magic. I take my hat off to whoever installed that mirror. Good move man. Good move. The only downside to this place is that the crowd can sometimes be a bit weird. Not scary, just strange enough that you wonder why the universe placed you in the same room with these people on what would otherwise be a perfectly good Wednesday afternoon. It would've been a lot better if they had more girls working. Granted it is a small location however on a Saturday night when I went they only had 2 girls working and it was close to midnight. Then they had to come out from behind the bar to attend to customers. I came across this Pump Room one evening, and i ventured inside. It's a bikini bar, and they have a full menu (that is, not just beer/wine). Generally, i felt welcomed. The Bartenders were cool (thanks Autumn, Angie), but the coolest thing was their jukebox. You can always tell the personality of an establishment from the selections on their jukebox. The Pump Room has EVERYTHING on theirs (from 'deth' metal to icky country-pop to dubstep/opium den). I was pleasantly surprised. the drinks are a little expensive ($6-$7 for a Lemmy (rum & coke)), but that's ok. it's worth it: the girls are nice, and BONUS: pool tables!. One drawback: i know that technically it's a sports bar, but, i wish they had at least one flatscreen that featured something else (like, maybe, VH-1 Classic, or the ID channel, or Me-TV, or some other dreck/kitsch).. read more

My review is only for my particular taste but others still might find some enjoyment. My only wish is that a crowd similar to how the 1 or 2 bikini girls look, were able to pull in a more diverse crowd of sexy 30-40's+. I went in this past Sunday, wanted to watch the game and talk to some pretty girls/cool people with my best friend (a guy), but if the bartender is the only pretty girl to talk to....well that's too much attention on one woman or if you are single and looking to mingle, party in Hollywood/LA sometimes, this is not the spot at all for fun on a Sunday. Hands down one of the best gay-friendly bars in Anaheim. I went their with my friend Seth who recently came out of the closet. As you can imagine, Seth was very apprehensive about going to a place like The Pump Room, but the staff made him feel right at home and even complemented him on his amazing hair and his choice of hair products. My first impression of the place was- HOLY COW, this place STINKS!! Literally, it smelled so bad. After a few minutes you get use to it. What's there to say about the pump room. You generally would come here for the bikini bar atmosphere attached to the pool table and really cheap beer. Though you have to be mindful of that as others will come here for that exact same reason - do you really want to associate with what has to be some of the lowest dirtiest type of folks around? Now that we weeded out a bunch of you no-fun having mofo's, let's get on with it. Yeah, this place is like the wrong side of the tracks. Quit literally as the metro station does separate this with the Orange Circle - which I sure as hell would call the right side of the tracks. It's really an acquired taste - like drinking cans of Natty Daddy. Once you get past that ass taste and realize you're just taking a short cut on that trip to oblivion, you embrace it. Same with the pump room. Once you realize that you're not here for anything more than self hatred - there's no other rational to dealing with the patrons here, then you can just embrace the self loathing and watch the train wreck that is the patrons here. Decided to go to the Pump Room one Friday afternoon after getting lunch with a bunch of friends and wasn't exactly sure what to expect from it. And by decided, I really actually mean the guys went into the Pump Room and I had to follow since I had no ride back to school. The interior wasn't exactly a 5-star hotel, but it was set-up like a standard bar, not one of those "club" bars with annoying Pop music blaring in the background. The crowd wasn't that bad, but I'm pretty sure there were a few people in there that fit the description of the crazy uncle your mom told you to avoid at family get-togethers. Decent selection of beer and the pitchers were a very reasonable price. Didn't try the food but if its anything like the bartenders, then it must be amazing. BTW Ladies, if you love candy, this is your place cause the female bartenders will offer you all you want just so they aren't the only girl there. The music varies here, since its a juke box you can pretty much be listening to anything. Sometimes if the girls get a hold of the Juke box then it will be something like club music which sometimes it is needed in there to awake the crown. The Pump room is something special. As you may know, the female bartenders are absolutely gorgeous. And scantily clad. They are friendly and attentive. This place is happening from Thursday to Saturday. Tho there's still a decent crowd on Sunday afternoon. The 3 pool tables are only .50 cents a game. There are 9 decent sized TVs throughout the place and have a good selection of sports. While this is a great place for guys, there are some regular gals. The ac works and the ceiling fans deliver a nice breeze. The music is good, not too loud. Atm sweet home Alabama is playing. The parking lot is big and safe at night. Got an Angry Orchard for 4.75$. I hadn't been in this place for 20 years until last Saturday night and oh my God the place is almost exactly the way it was 20 years ago except for that I didn't see any karaoke going on. the chicks are way hotter... On my way home with some of the dudes we decided we would stop by a bar.... well we saw the pump room and thought we'd give it a shot. It's a dive bar so I knew not to expect the best of the best. The girls were nice and the drinks were poured well but I ordered 4 drinks and my bill was over $45. A dive bar like this should never change over $10 for a drink, I was somewhat mind blown when I got my bill. Not sure if one of the girls accidentally put someone else's drinks on my tab but it is what it is. Wasn't in the mood to argue so i paid and left.
