It was August first this past summer when my wife and I decided we'd had enough of the sleepy suburbs and were ready to reconnect with the city we loved and spent most of our free time. We listed our home of 27 years and bingo, it sold in one day. Panic stricken, not prepared for such a quick sale, I contacted Carmela (I met her a year prior at an open house, liked her style and did some research on her and her company) and asked if we could meet as soon as possible. Long story short, she recommended that we look into short term lease options while we took our time finding our dream home. We followed her advice and wound up renting at Park Lane in the Seaport District-great place that deserves two thumbs up- on a short term three month lease that could have been extended if needed. We didn't need to.... Carmela sat my wife and I down at our initial meeting and listened as we described to her our 'must have' list in our soon to be dream home. Fast forward, we waited until after Labor Day to start our search as we needed time to pack up the old house and move into Park Lane....Carmela wasted no time finding four properties that met our requirements...........we bought the first home we were shown. We new it was to be as soon as we walked into the front door. She nailed it! Amazing! I thought we'd be looking for months as our criteria was not going to be an easy task for her to accomplish. The story continues.....I asked if she could recommend a mortgage broker..she said "I've got the best...Paul Sapienza of Drew Mortgage Associates"....he was dynamite! I also asked her if she could recommend a real estate attorney...she did, John Iacoi....a complete professional that made the headaches of real estate passing simplistic for both my wife and I that are just way too busy to be tied down to legal jargon. ***Do I add her recommended designer, painter and contractor? YOU BET!!! 5 star businesses have customer satisfaction down to a science, Carmela and her team get it and most importantly follow through....I could not have been more satisfied. My email that I sent her and her associates as we finished passing the papers read as follows: "Your high level of professionalism throughout this entire process was greatly appreciated. Together, you're quite a team!" Take my word, if you're looking for a new home along Boston's Waterfront, in my opinion, the only choice is Carmela's CL Waterfront Properties.

I went home and submitted an inquiry on their website. It was a Sunday night, so I wasn't expecting a response until at least Monday morning. To my delight, Carmela responded almost immediately and put us in touch with Chris Smith on the team. Chris scheduled an appointment with us to see our property of interest immediately. From there, we worked with Chris to see more properties in the North End. Chris was always very responsive and quick to set up appointments on our behalf. He was always very knowledgeable on all of the properties we viewed (and we ask a LOT of questions)! Although I was regularly searching Redfin and receiving daily alerts, Chris was a powerful 'secret weapon' proactively emailing us properties that fit our criteria. This extra research on our behalf was a real bonus, as the listings/photos don't always tell the full story. Searching for real estate in Boston can be a frustrating process and finding a responsive broker can be challenging (especially in this market!). I would highly recommend Chris Smith and the team at CL Waterfront. They truly cater to the needs of their prospects and their responsiveness always impressed us.

If you're buying, here's what to expect: - Lisa will sit down with you and conduct a friendly interview on what you want to buy. - Lisa will recommend fantastic experts as part of your buying team: home insurance, lawyers, and mortgage lenders. The only recommendation we did not use was the home inspector due to scheduling and our own prior use. EVERY recommendation Lisa gives is a "tried and true" team member. They are all excellent. We used Jeff Nelson from Bank of America, Jeff Shargel's law office, and Matt Davison for the homeowner's insurance. All were excellent. - Lisa will email you listings of what you want, schedule showings, and give you open house notifications too. We saw a ton of properties in many towns -- Lisa does a lot of legwork. She even picked us up at the train station once when our car broke down. She goes ABOVE AND BEYOND! - Lisa is organized, fights for you, and is always your advocate. She asks questions you didn't even think of asking. - Lisa is super friendly, confident, smart, and a FANTASTIC negotiator. Even at our final home walkthrough, she found a minor item needing repair, got us monetary protection in the 11th hour (at closing!), and worked with the lawyers. She does this all with panache and friendliness. - Lisa is honest and tells you what you need to hear. She delivers bad news with such friendly skill and diplomacy, that you can't help but move forward with a better feeling instead of a negative one. She is such an excellent advocate. I highly, highly recommend her. She has a great communication style. Go to Lisa! We were in such good hands with many life changes happening all at once -- Lisa was there every step of the way. Happy house hunting! :)

Long story short: she was everything and more! She took us all over the city and surrounding towns to search for the perfect home. Every weekend she updated us with open houses, checked in with us often and when we did attend showings together, she knew just what to ask the seller's agent. She remembered what we both specifically looked for in a home and went out of her way to find that. She was always available and responsive to calls or emails. Lisa is not only a wonderful person, full of energy and so friendly, she is extremely adept at negotiating with sellers agents and hooking us up to excellent lenders and attorney. We felt she was really looking out for us every step of the way, and count her as a friend! It was a memorable and positive experience buying our first home at Griffin, and we have been telling all friends and family about our experience, and hope this entry will help you feel confident about working with them too! We are also planning on coming back to Lisa when we eventually sell and buy our next home. 5 stars all the way!

I was looking for a house in Salem for 4 years. I toured countless houses, and tried working with a few realtors. Most of them would just pressure me to buy a house that I wasn't interested in. Then I linked up with Judie, and two months later she helped me find my dream house. She gave me a heads up before the house even hit the market. During the process of closing, anytime I didn't know something, she had the answer, and anytime I needed a contractor, she had someone who had a better price and quality than anyone I could find. Most importantly whenever there was a problem, she had a solution and took initiative. On top of that she is such an unbelievably pleasant person that you could discuss anything with. Buying a house can be stressful, but she made it such a smooth experience. Now she is helping me sell my condo, and as I am about to put it on the market she brings those same attributes, making the selling experience so much more manageable with a busy work schedule. To sum up, Judie *will* help you find your dream home (or sell it). With her experience, expertise, and connections she will make the process smooth. Most importantly her wonderfully kind personality will make you feel at ease knowing you're working with a master of the trade. Thank you Judie, you're the best!

We found a home we liked pretty quickly and decided to put in offer in. The process was less than desirable as we didn't have a sense from the agent if we were making a good decision or if our offer was going to be enough to get the house. We did not win the offer and decided to consider hiring a traditional real estate agent. That's when we found Caroline on Yelp. Our initial phone call was over an hour and it felt so natural. She got to know us, and told us about herself and the market. She had a good sense of what we were looking for in our range and assured us our house was out there. Caroline spent the next three months looking at houses with us every weekend, communicating with us by email/phone/text, and keeping us positive in the stressful process. While she has other clients she is working with, she always made us feel like we were her only clients. She would provide us with houses hitting the market within moments of them becoming available (often the same ones we were emailing her!) and insight into the neighborhoods and homes. She gave her honest opinion on the home itself and pricing to help us make an educated decision. She helped us maintain a positive outlook when the market seemed to be out of our favor. We came close to putting an offer on a few houses, but after hearing her insights decided to pass, which was ultimately the right decision. When we found our home, Caroline was honest about things that would need to be done, but also made us feel confident putting in an offer. She made the process easy to understand by reviewing our documents with us, coordinating with a mortgage lender, and negotiating on our behalf. She helped us select a trustworthy inspector and has recommended local businesses to do work on our home when the time comes. She is a one stop shop for all your home buying/renovating needs! Caroline has been in the business for over 30 years and grew up in this area so she knows it very well. She is the ideal agent for first time home buyers who are interested in being a part of the process every step of the way. My husband and I joked at the end of our search that we could be licensed agents with all she taught us. We have already recommended Caroline to friends who are interested in buying a home in the area and will continue to do so in the future. Thank you, Caroline, for all of your help! I cannot say enough about how professional, experienced, helpful, knowledgeable and generally excellent to work with Gary was. He guided us through the process (which can be daunting but was smooth and relatively low-stress with Gary's help) from beginning to end. We can only reiterate what the other excellent Yelp reviews have said. Gary was always available to talk over the phone and via email and responded promptly to our MANY questions throughout the process. From the beginning he impressed us with his professionalism by having tailored information packets made up for us when we visited open houses. Gary was very flexible and scheduled viewing appointments around our somewhat hectic schedules. He was an invaluable presence during our home inspection and gave us great advice. The home inspector that Gary recommended was also awesome and carried out an amazingly detailed almost 3 hour inspection (whereas we had a less than one hour inspection with other inspectors before we met Gary) which made us very confident that we were fully informed about our purchase. He checked in on us regularly and seamlessly coordinated the buying process between us, our mortgage broker and our lawyer. Although extremely organised and focused, Gary is also a laid back person which made the whole experience a very pleasant one for us. I have no reservations about HIGHLY recommending Gary and would urge anyone to contact Gary if they are beginning the process of buying a home.

Laid back, very experienced, professional and ALWAYS available! As 1st time home buyers we were inexperienced and well yes, pretty "needy." Gary was so patient with us and totally "held our hands" the whole way guiding us step by step through the process. Before narrowing down our search, we had Gary out in Natick, Waltham, Stoneham, & MANY MANY more towns. He spent many of his weekends with us and made time for appt during the week at various times that worked for our schedule. Places that we weren't sure we could get into because of short notice, we got into every time! He knows what he's doing! After seeing many places that did nothing but give all of us a good laugh, we finally found something worth making an offer. Gary worked quick to put the paperwork together & get our offer to the sellers...and again same with the counter offer; ...and again with the next house we put an offer in...& the next one too! Our 3rd house we started the offer process with is now our 1st home! We went with everyone Gary recommended as our buying team. You can be completely comfortable with anyone he recommends & trust his opinion. Our team consisted of Home inspector, Mark George, Cory Miller of Wells Fargo, our lawyer Ali Alavi. ALL INCREDIBLE PEOPLE! From the inspection, necessary repairs, mortgage prep, visits to the house for measurements, all the way to the big day of the final walk through & the closing, Gary kept the whole team moving forward with their pieces of the process in a timely fashion. We have Gary to thank for our wonderful new home! He made the process smooth, and easy! I'd HIGHLY recommend you give him a call if you are in search of a buyers agent! We certainly will be giving his name to any friends and family we know interested in purchasing a home. Thanks for everything Gary! Jen & Jamie
