Writing this review for my parents who are in their 70s. They had their riding lawnmower picked up for repair and was told it would only be a couple of days. After 3 days they were told nobody would even look at it until the next week. The next week they were told it would be the following week. Long story short, they had it 4 1/2 weeks to replace a battery, sharpen the blade, and change the oil. To add further insult to the injury, they were supposed to deliver it on Friday but never showed up. My parents had to wait until Monday to get their mower back. Nobody ever called, nobody ever apologized. My parents wound up buying a new mower just to be able to cut their grass because this place had it so long. Never again! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE! I won't bore you with the entire story, but this place has the worst customer service. I dropped off a piece of equipment with them in Lansing and was told I'd be contacted in a few days. A week later I called and was told they had to order a part and they didn't know when it would be fixed, but would call after it was completed. A week later I called again and was told it was fixed. I'm guessing it had been completed days before. I asked if I could come get it that night and was told it was not at the Lansing shop, but rather in Mason. They could not tell me when it would make it's way to Lansing. I was so pissed I drove down to Mason that night. When I arrived a young man that I parked next to jumped out of his car and came in the store with me. He was the actual employee and took my payment. When I left he returned to his car where a girl was waiting for him. This place is so unprofessional and disrespectful. Please do not give them your money or time. PS- The Lansing location used to be Fuller's, but the Power Barn bought them out. Unfortunate for all of us. read more

Terrible place. Terrible customer service. Dropped off an edger at the Lansing store and told they would call in 3-4 days with a diagnosis. No call. Called them two weeks later and they said it was fixed and it was $60. Asked if we could pick it up. They said it was at the Mason store but would be back in a few days. Called a few days later and they said it was still at the Mason store and they had no idea when it would be back in the Lansing store. Went to pick it up at the Mason store. They charged $95, including fuel fees and shipping!!! Hate them and will never deal with them again. Ever!! read more

I'm a commercial lawn care owner and bought a gravely mower from the Power Barn. I was so sick of my mower breaking down last year and not getting fixed properly that I started taking it to another shop and paying to have them fix it even though it was still under warranty because I couldn't afford anymore down time. I was treated terribly by the owner when dealing with him and would not recommend the Power Barn when it comes time to buy or fix anything. Since buying this gravely I've bought two other zero turns from someone else. If I had better customer service I might have bought these mowers from the Power Barn but I guess they don't care about $20k worth of business. read more

Had a wonderful experience!... At first. They were offering free pick-up and delivery, so I called and had my tractor picked up for yearly service. They picked it up the next day and dropped it back off a week later. Not bad, so I thought. A week later it was time to mow my lawn.. Within 2 minutes, the front roller fell off and the brackets fell and started ripping up my lawn. I was upset and planned on calling them the next day. I tied the brackets up and continued mowing. About 20 minutes in, it started making a terrible sound, similar to the blades hitting the sides of the deck. I got extremely upset. I did my own service last year, and can honestly say it wasn't difficult at all, and personally had no problem after! They are the most incompetent small-engine mechanics ever. When I called the next day, the woman on the phone was polite, and offered to pick it up the following day. "Oh, great!" I thought... Nope. It has been at their location going on 3 weeks now, and they will not answer my calls or respond to my emails. Terrible customer service. I had to pay $60 to have my lawn mowed by a company, and I do hope they reimburse me. Not only did I have my mower serviced there, but I was also interested in buying a brand new one from them! I mentioned it to them 3 times before they even seemed slightly interested in selling me one! I work at a car dealership, and that is just crazy to me! I asked for a trade-in value on mine as well, and it took over a week to give it to me, while the tractor was there! And when they gave it to me, they said they are not willing to give anything for it. (It's a 2001 with under 250 hours on it) it's worth something! This is the worse establishment I have ever been to in my life! After waiting 6 weeks and getting the run around on the phone dozens of times they try to sell me a 500 dollar part I did not need! Then after telling them I only wanted a barring and a gear and that I would fix the rest on my own the girl at the counter refuses to sell it to me and gets an attitude. Then they try to charge me for shipping on the rest of the parts I never took and they where the ones that could not get the right part! And it gets better. After a heated exchange with the owner and his daughter. I slammed the door and he runs out after me and gets in my face! Threatening to hit me! Then walks over and kicks my bucket of parts laying on the ground and they all fly under my truck!!! Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting how I was treated I wanted to bounce the guys head off the curb but I just took the high road and left. If you do business with these people you are out of your minds! I cannot make this kinda stuff up and I am normally never one to write a comment of any sort just don't have the time to waist. My husband took our snowblower to Fuller Equipment on Saginaw in west Lansing we did not know it's now owned by the Power Barn if we had we wouldn't have gone there. When my husband dropped it off he told them exactly what he wanted done and that they could take their time seeing most of the snow season was over. He had to put a $35.00 deposit down and was told they would call when they were done with it. Two months later we hadn't heard anything so he called them sure it's ready and its $87.49 due when he picks it up. So we drive out to Fuller's or what we thought was Fuller's and this is when we find out it's really the Power Barn now. Surprisingly our snowblower is not there it's in Mason, but they'll have the one of the guys drop it off at our house because he was ready to head into Lansing. So we went home and waited for several hours still no snowblower. My husband called them back to find out his snowblower is still in Mason. So we drive out there to get our snowblower and realize the only thing they did was change the spark plug $112.49 to have a spark plug changed. We will never go back!
