This is my favourite cafe in Torquay. Popped in this morning for an early morning post surf brunch and the place was buzzing as usual. I grabbed a seat on the communal table. My macchiato was smooth .. A touch bitter / over roasted but otherwise good. The inside area is bright and airy, with a beach side vibe, filled with surfers, couples, day trippers and locals. Service is friendly and fast but I have had my order lost occasionally. I ordered the über healthy "Buddha bowl", which tasted fresh and flavoursome. The lettuce was crisp, the beans soft and it all rather moreish. Have had many other of their menu items and there are some winners on there. Ok, Pond! I gotta stick with three stars because my personal experience was great but my mum was super sad about her bircher muesli having no real muesli to it. Why you gotta serve an old lady a bowl of yoghurt, fruit and chia and call it muesli? I also know there's not much you can do about the sun streaming in early in the morning but hot damn that's a bright and punishing sun! Apart from those negatives, your service was charming, your food (ok... my food) was delicious (salmon ceviche tacos come at me!) and your coffee was also great. Beautiful, vibrant cafe that was quite busy during our visit to Torquay. We sat at the large table (it was a bit dreary outside). The vibes were chill and we had welcoming service. I had the smashed avo toast with hummus and a coffee. It was flavorful enough but I found it to be a very creamy combination. Seriously delicious food and coffee. My friends had the Benny with Salmon and stopped talking completely while there was food on their plates. Stopped off at the place for the views... And wow!! It's beautiful!!! Ordered the chia latte - not on the menu but available. The service was quick and staff were polite. The Pond Cafe was doing a roaring trade when we showed up on a Saturday morning for a spot of Brunch. Located opposite the ocean with tables indoors and outdoors, The Pond Cafe looked like Torquay's must-visit spot. The menu had a range of options, and I ended up ordering Smashed Peas on sourdough with Danish Feta. It was delicious! The service was also great and had a few laughs with the wait staff. Highly recommended spot to fuel up on food and coffee before hitting the Great Ocean Road. read more

Amazing seven seeds coffee. Very nice, fresh food and a good looking menu. Awesome spot on the beach with friendly service. What else could I ask for? This place doesn't show up when you do a bit of a Google for place to go, which is insane because it's the best coffee you're gonna get around here. read more

Staff are always friendly - friendly and helpful staff are the key to good coffee shop and the coffee is excellent which is also the key to a good coffee shop. It gets crowded and the tables are not always comfortable. The sugar is generally left out in glasses and the birds eat it. But who needs sugar right? Must be a lot of diabetic birds in Torquay. Could use some more vegan alternatives tho. The coffee is brilliant. And it's in a great location. Great on a hot day when they open up the bay windows. Best coffee shop in Torquay! read more

Worth the drive from bellarine and definitely a great start to the great ocean road drive. Their brekkie tacos were delicious and flavorful; coffee was also good. Great food, great coffee, great staff, great service. Ate there several times over a week. It quickly became our go to for coffee and breakfast. Toast with preserves, eggs and bacon, eggs with some of the best salmon I've ever had. Pond is a great place for a "brekkie" to have lunch or simply grab a cup of really top quality coffee. Its view of Zeally Bay is superb, the menu is simple, whilst having something for everyone, and again, the coffee is as good as coffee gets Presentation and consistency means everything to Tomo, and his team. On top of it all, its great value for money and friendliness oozes out of the place. My favorite place to spend an hour, or just 5 minutes. read more
