The rising sun is a good sized family orientated pub. They have a good outdoor area with a good…read morenumber of tables. They serve pretty good food and there seems to be a nice atmosphere when ever I have been in. The only trouble when you are sitting outside can be the noise because its sits right on a main road which is very busy. The Rising sun isn't in the town centre, it is in between Hull and beverley so It is more of a locals pub and although I am not local any more I never feel awkward there like some places.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving by with friends when we decided to pop in. There was a young blonde girl behing the bar with the most miserable expression on her face. Even while serving us she did not smile once. My sister and her husband then went in on 18/1/2014 and said there was a dark haired woman who again did not smile once. Can I just remind these individuals, they work with customers therfore offer a customer service, working in this area myself I know in order for people to return, I use my commen sense to welcome families etc by offering a warm and approachable experience in the hope they would return. I would suggest to the manager these ladies either go on customer service training or give them their P45s. Would I return, NOT A CHANCE. they are clearly in the wrong job and there is plenty out there who could do anything for a role like that. Get a grip, it costs nothing to smile.
