Considering Meijer is on my way home, I never seemed to make it up to the Foodland. I am bummed that I didnt until recently. Just before Thanksgiving, they had prime rib for $6.99/#. The meat was beautifully marbled with little fat surrounding the roast. While there, I looked at a couple other pieces of meat and ended up purchasing their breakfast sausage (which was perfectly seasoned!), and their strip steak. The quality of the meat was very good! I also purchased some fruits and vegetables to go along with the meals. Everything was fresh and reasonably priced! While there, I also picked up some beer. There was a really nice selection with a walk in fridge! Based on my initial positive experience, I have been back multiple times and have been pleasantly impressed! This is my new go-to market!!!

I've visited here several times and every time I've had a pleasant experience. The managers, meat department, bakery, checkers, stickers and baggers all have won me and my family over. The baggers still offer to take your grocery's out to your car weather your young or old. The prices are very reasonable and the loyalty club gives you extra savings as well. Very clean store and they've organized the isles to streamline even the pickiest shoppers. Large parking lot that well maintained and salted properly during those icy/slushy days. I have to say I enjoy the layout and design Kroger has established. Kroger rewards has been good to me. The gas rewards every month add up quickly, Usually .30 to 1.00 off on my monthly one time gas fill up to 35 gallons. The weekly app has great discounts and coupons as well. The 5 for 5 and 10 for 10 deals help shave some overall on my weekly grocery bill as well. I've always had great customer service from the managers, stockers, cashier's, customer service representatives and baggers. Kroger is well stocked with all your favorite foods as well as being very organized. With prices at all time highs Kroger has been friendly to its customers and community. Give Kroger a try and you'll be happy you did.

After losing my "Oxford Strong" hat in the north end of the parking lot earlier this evening, I called the 'lost and found' department, I shared I was looking for an "Oxford Strong" hat with a yellow and blue pom. The individual on the other line said she did not see anything like that and hung up on me. Did not ask for my name and number in the event the hat was found. I was shocked. Completely shocked. We have read about the "on-going support" from our friends to the north, but obviously not. I purchased the hat the day after the event as all the profit went directly to the families of my community. Thank you for the lack of empathy. I will not be shopping here again. Please join me in choosing to not support this company or location.

I was looking for a few things one of the last times I was at Meijer and the staff were not helpful which made me angry. I tried asking one guy for help as he was talking to people he knew and I said excuse me sir several times. The people he was talking to even looked at me and he never turned around. I found another worker and asked him and gave me one of those half answers and didn't even attempt to try looking further. I realized that Meijer is pointless. Their point system also sucks. It doesn't benefit us at all so I stopped using my number. I will stop going into Meijer altogether because I'm fed up with this store. I was lucky to find those two workers on the floor because I hardly see them when I need assistance. The older heavy set lady at the self checkout always has an attitude. I put my hand basket on the floor until I got my bag of things situated and then I was going to put it back and she snatched it up and rolled her eyes as I walked out and complained to the guy at the front. I started going to Ralph's. Well, Kroger because I use Ralph's in California and Kroger and Ralph's are the same because Ralph's is part of Kroger Co. The point system makes sense and I can easily clip and save from my app. Plus the staff are more helpful. One person at Meijer was helpful and that was a nice lady who helped me find a particular hair care product. She approached me and asked if she could help. The lady who helped me in the haircare isle is the reason for the extra star. Otherwise it would have been 1 star.

Various local honey, jellies, and jams. Homemade peanut butter ground in-house. Homemade pickles in white tubs. 50 pound sacks of Michigan white potatoes. Jabba the Hut sized hubbard squash. Lots of hidden deals within the frozen food section...six New York bagels @ $3.99...five pounds of pepper-jack breaded chicken breast chunks at $10.99. A special shout-out to the BEST in-store bakery I've ever seen. In addition to the deli counter, there is a separate in-store cafeteria selling great lunch style foods like Reuban sandwiches, hamburgers, chicken fingers, fries, soups, etc. They cooked my hamburger in a cast iron pan on an old iron stove. Delicious! Great price too. The staff were extremely polite, helpful, and pleasant. Love the old fashioned check-out counters. They hand bag everything too. CONS: Too far from my home. Cramped aisles. Like any grocery store, not all the prices can compete with Wal-Mart. SUMMARY: Need a break from urban attitude? This is a no-brainer choice. Feels like walking back in time when people were nicer and food was better. Load up and drive out to the country, pretend it's a mini-vacation.
