I did notice much fewer products available to sample, with a "Try Me" sticker, than I'm used to finding at other Body Shop locations, I came into the store looking for something for my chapped lips, and the only product they had available as a tester was a single lip balm - which was covered in someone else's lipstick! - Surely for hygiene reasons having a jar/container rather than something you apply directly to your lips would be a better idea. I did notice much less sampling in general for other products too, it seemed the products ready to try, didn't make sense, and I laughed at how one of the few men's products would have been a shaving foam like they were expecting me to start shaving in the store! The staff seemed friendly enough and had decent product knowledge. 2* - A nice brand to have in Blackburn town centre, but quite poor compared to other The Body Shop locations, unfortunately.

I went on a photo shoot a couple of weeks after having my hair coloured here and the photographers adored my hair. The colourists are excellent, I've been having my hair professionally coloured for 12years and it has never been as long-lasting, vibrant and healthy looking as now. The cut is superb, creative but not bonkers. These guys actually cut my past shoulder length hair into a short bob, and even hubby (a lover of long hair and bob nay-sayer) loves it and doesn't want me to grow it back 'nuff said? The decor is rather lovely, it's a period building with period features here and there to keep your eye occupied whilst having your hair washed, and the coffees tasty. Not cheap, but it is very good.

I like the fact this shop has it's own pharmacy where you can get professional advice before buying and they also do choelstral and daibetes tests ect in store now as well. The babies nappies and products often get offers on them which is always good to look out for. i think the staff are very helpful and although it does get quite busy in here during the week they do a good job of keeping the ques down. The ailses are nice and wide so its easy to go in with buggies and wheelchairs. Thry also do gift vouchers that are perfect for presents and they have there own magazine which sometimes have money off coupons for make up products in store

I called in The Fragrance Shop while in Blackburn, which is actually one of two shops of its kind,…read morefairly close to The Perfume Shop, which is quite uncommon for such a small town, with Blackburn being a small town in Lancashire. Overall, this store is quite small but is a typical store in regards to The Fragrance Shop (TFS), and it is similar to the old branch they did have in Manchester up until opening the new one around the start of April. The staff members seemed unfriendly, unhelpful and unwilling to talk to me about possible fragrances, she just seemed like she couldn't be bothered, and didn't like her work. This is a shame. I was told there wasn't any samples, she also didn't seem willing to at least let me smell/sample any of the other fragrances, which seemed similar to The Perfume Shop's policy also in Blackburn, which made no sense and made me feel like they didn't care or want a sale, so sadly due to poor customer service skills and the other comments mentioned above I sadly feel this store deserves a single one star.
