I wanted a dairy free cake for my son's birthday and I am so glad I came across Paleo Queen on Yelp. Upon reading the reviews, I decided to contact her and she was very communicative. After some exchanges of messages, we decided on a themed cake (Brawl Stars) my son wanted, the colors, and flavors. I have to say this is probably one of the best tasting cakes I've ever tried (since I have major sweet tooth, I tasted a lot of cakes). It's not overly sweet at all, just perfect. The texture is rich and moist. The cake, the filling, and the frosting held up really well. One bite and you can tell that Paleo Queen used high quality ingredients. Thank you!

Gluten-free, wheat-free, red velvet 6in cake in the box.

Ordered a Gluten-free, Wheat-free Red Velvet cake for a friend's birthday. The design was elegant and the cake tasted amazing! We followed the instructions to keep the cake refrigerated and bring out 1 hour to bring to room temp before serving. The red velvet cake itself was nice and moist. The cream cheese frosting was tasty and was the perfect balance of cream cheese to cake ratio. The cake was also the perfect amount of sweetness as well and not too sweet.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Cant even start to explain how amazing, moist, delicious and perfectly sweetened this cake is. Worth every dollar. Mouth is literally drooling while writing this.

My husband ordered me a cake for my birthday. I have a few dietary restrictions. No wheat, no cake sugar, no yeast. I am pretty picky so buying a cake at a supermarket is not an option. Not worth it when I pay the price for eating things I am allergic to. We went to pick up the cake in Granada Hills from Lynwood. The cake survived the 1 hour drive. Looked just as when we got it from Natalie. My husband ordered enough for 10 people but I wish he would have purchased the next size up. The cake itself is good. A little moist. Subtle lemon flavor. The frosting is butter based so a little heavy and had a delicious subtle lemon flavor. The strawberries are fresh. Decoration beautiful. The compliment I can give Natalie is that we tried a few local brick and mortar bakeries that offer limited paleo/keto items near us and I was not impressed. I am glad we went with the paleo queen. The texture and flavor is spot on. The only thing I would do differently for next time would be the frosting of choice. The butter frosting was good but I am used to the airy more soft frosting in traditional cakes. Considering I am not a hardcore paleo follower and only avoid things I am allergic too (I can have dairy) I would choose a cream cheese frosting next time. I am confident in choosing Natalie for my family's sweet tooth cravings. They are delicious, healthy and don't compromise out health. Before I could make a wish my baby started attacking my cake! Thanks Natalie.

I found Paleo Queen on Google last Sunday, I messaged her on WhatsApp and she quickly responded with all the information I need, I tranfer(zelle) the payment that night. She's very nice and take the time to follow up with you for the little details. I was looking for something special for my beautiful and love sister, She's pregnant and has gestational diabetes, due to her condition I was determined to find the perfect cake for her and I did!! Thank you so much Queen Paleo for the Delicious Coconut/chocolate cake

I ordered both a sugar-free cake and pie for my Mom's 75th birthday. Both were amazing and a hit at the party. Natalie was super communicative and made it really easy for me to order and pick up the goods. I would definitely recommend her the next time you need a yummy dessert!

I wanted a sugar-free birthday cake for my husband's 64th birthday and didn't think it was possible to get such a cake with short notice. The Paleo Queen to the rescue! Not only was she able to get me a sugar free cake but it was absolutely delicious! Everyone said it was the best cake they had and could not believe it was sugar free. I will definitely be ordering more cakes from her in the future. Thank you Paleo Queen for helping me give my husband a great birthday!

I am Gluten Free and Sugar Free because of my health, not because I'm on any diet. I have eaten one of Natalie's cakes before for my birthday and it was incredible! It was an easy choice to buy my elopement cake from her. It turned out gorgeous and tasted amazing!! So soft and fluffy. Also, my sister drove it from Granda Hills to the city of Orange and held up very well. I got a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and she decorated it with the lovely flowers you see. I added a gold topper which I will post when I get the photos. Until then, here is a picture of this adorable, beautiful, and fresh tasting!

Keto 3 layer cake (coconut cake, chocolatey cheesecake frosting, pecan crust, berry and coconut topping)
Vanessa B.

From start to finish, super easy and exceeded expectations. The photos on her Insta don't do it justice...great pics, but the flavor, texture, visual...wow! Ordered a keto 3 layer cake (coconut flavor cake, chocolatey cheesecake frosting, pecan crust around, berries and coconut flakes on top). The cake was moist, frosting was perfect sweetness, berries were fresh. Highly recommend!!! Definitely costly, but worth every penny!!! Tasted better than "real" cake.

I'm on keto for over 2 weeks now but I'm struggling because I have a sweet tooth. So I started looking for my dessert options and found The Paleo Queen on Yelp and oh boy...Natalie's cheesecake is the bomb! You wont even taste the difference from a regular cheesecake. I like the chocolate chip cookies too, even my husband who's not on any diet restriction said that the cookies are really good. Ordering is super quick, I did it all via texts and Natalie is very quick to reply. I picked-up my order the next day. Overall, I'm super happy with my order and I really enjoyed the desserts. Can't wait to try the pies and the cakes as well. :)

Natalie's paleo cashew bread
Nina Y.

Natalie is an amazingly talented baker! As someone who bakes myself, it's no easy feat to make paleo goodies as soft and moist as the originals. But Natalie has perfected the craft! I got tired of baking for myself and ordered cashew bread made with paleo ingredients that don't inflame my joints. I loved the whole experience - knowing who made my food, what went in it, and how fresh it is. As a dietitian and autoimmune sufferer, I give this bread a big thumbs up

Hello. Do you have dairy free cakes? If yes, which one you recommend & what is the price range. Thanks

Hi yes I make dairy free cakes. I bake according to your dietary restrictions. Everything is fresh made to order items. I don’t keep anything on hand. I usually require a three day notice and pick up is from Granada Hills. Pricing varies… Read more

Hi! Do you have any sugar free options?

Hi yes I do. For paleo I use coconut sugar, honey or maple syrup. For keto I use a blend of lakanto monkfruit and xylitol. Please text me 818-821-4545 to place an order.

Do you deliver to Downey, CA? If not, can you recommend another paleo baker in that area (birthday cake)? I'm ordering from another state and less familiar with the area.

Sorry Downey is out of my delivery range. Unfortunately I don’t know any other paleo bakers out there.

Hi do you offer custom themed keto cakes?

Yes I usually make the cake itself & you can order the toppers on amazon and add them right before serving, but as far as drawing characters or special designs unfortunately I don’t do that. My style of baking is more on the rustic side.

Do you know if these are SCD compliant?

Yes I can make it SCD compliant.

Do you use all natural ingredients, that are organic and non GMO?

Yes I do :)

Is it all strictly paleo? Or are there some keto (low carb, no sugar)desserts as well?

All her treats are paleo compliant. But she also offers keto, vegan, sugar free, & custom options as well. She bakes based off your dietary restrictions.

Is this business opened on Sundays?

Hi :) Depending on what you order, I may be able to accommodate. Pickup would either be from the restaurant I work out of in valley village or from my home in Granada Hills.… Read more

Where is the place located? Or is it all order online only? I want to come in and try before I buy!

Hi Glenda It’s a home based bakery. I only do make to order items. But I do make samples sometimes and deliver to my clients. Feel free to text or call me 818-821-4545

The Bischoffee or Banana Latte or Corn Coffee were all very tempting but I went for my preferred drink these days Strawberry Matcha although as I stood there waiting for my drink (which quite a bit longer than my friends American) I was regretting not trying one of their insane looking coffee drinks (aka deserts). My BF said his Americano was excellent, not acidic or bitter in any way. My strawberry matcha was good, a bit too jammy, but not cloyingly sweet although the matcha itself was mildly flavored, it was highly caffeinated since it kept me from falling asleep at my regular time. Everything tasted indulgent but still well-crafted. The dessert was just as good--soft, flavorful, and topped with the perfect crunch for contrast. It's off Reseda and its parking lot is usually a hot spot among people. There is a good amount of parking but depending on the time, it fills up quickly and can feel tight trying to maneuver your way through and find a spot. Ambiance: Cafe 86 is a, they specialize in coffee and matcha and truly have an expansive menu featuring lots of delicious ube variations. There is a good amount of seating in the cafe, from normal tables to a couch to lounge on. The interior of the cafe is lined with brick and the warm lighting casts a soft cozy feeling. There is ample space to sit and enjoy your drink. I'd even say it's a good spot to study as it is spacious and does not get too loud. Drinks/food: We've tried the Iced Ube Matcha latte, Iced sea salt latte, Iced Ube Latte, as well as the Ube truffles. I love the ube flavor and it pairs perfectly with their matcha. They don't use the highest quality matcha but the ube flavor carries and still provides a nice tasty drink. The iced coffee was good, a little too sweet and kind of just an average latte, nothing to write home about. The ube truffles are something sweet that hit the spot if you have that sweet ube craving. They are soft and chewy and just the perfect bite. I am definitely biased in general because I really like ube so if you aren't the biggest fan you may not like it Overall this place does make their drinks on the sweeter side so going half sweet is smart if you don't want a blast of sugar. Service: Everyone thus far has been extremely friendly and welcoming! Overall: Cafe 86 is a solid spot if you are in the mood and have a craving for sweet, ube forward drinks and sweets. The menu is fun and unique, especially for anyone who enjoys ube flavors. The cafe itself offers a comfortable, inviting space that works well for hanging out or getting some work done. While the drinks can run on the sweeter side and some of the drinks are just average, the overall experience is still enjoyable. The friendly service and relaxed atmosphere is a calm choice for a new casual cafe stop, particularly if you are there for their ube specialties.

Ambiance: This coffee shop is quaint and feels a little cramped when you finally get inside and through the line. There is a counter top with some chairs as well as one couch and desk where one can study although, I personally never would. It's clean and bright with a minimalistic vibe inside. With it being cramped, you basically just get in, order, and get out. It's rare to find seating inside and it can feel overwhelming just sitting there trying to enjoy your drink with so many people around. Drinks: We've been there multiple times and you can always expect the same- mid, slightly overpriced, oh- getting some post purchase clarity. But it's the type of slightly regretful decision we continue to make every time. We've gotten the matcha einspanner on several occasions, vanilla iced latte, caramel latte, and the most disgusting Americano known to man. Whether you get the dark or light roast Americano, you will not run away from the burnt and bitter flavor. Service: The line moves quickly, they take your order and get you in and out without a long wait. They also offer stamp cards, buy 10 get the 11th free. What a steal! Gimme 10 more! Overall: All this to say, it's oddly grown to be a valley staple, and represents some bordering LA values- overpriced, overhyped, but for some reason addicting in the fact you always seem to go back. I would say 3.5 but it doesn't allow it, so I'm feeling generous today.
