    Beautifully painted bookcases

Eric has been my go-to painter for 20+ years: inside, outside, inside again. His work is impeccable. My most recent paint solution with Eric was repainting bookcases in my new living room. He matched the color, was meticulous in his prep work, did the job in the stated time frame, and removed all detritus. The bookcases have a gorgeous satin finish that is beautiful to the hand feel and to the eye. His pricing is right; his assistant is efficient; Eric does the painting. You can tell he loves what he does.

As mentioned in my initial review, our primary home in Roseville would be our next experience with Eric and The Paint Solution. The work was done on time and according to the quote. Just like the initial review (re: investment home), the neighbors would stop by to admire Eric's work and how nice our house looked!

Eric worked very well with us in getting my parents house painted quickly before they moved into their house.

What I liked about them…read morewas during their estimate, Emanuel was very personable, asked many more questions, and provided solutions for other problems, like foaming against squirrels and adjusting the lattice fence around the AC. They also preferred having the customer involved during the painting process so problems that popped up could be resolved quickly. I also liked that they used great paint - Dunn Edwards Ultra-Premium EVERSHIELD paint to be precise. I used Eggshell on the body to help repel water and Satin on the trim and accent. During prep, they installed 3 foam corbels to replace the original wood ones that had rotted out because they were never primed when the house was originally built in 2006. David was project manager with José and Pablo doing the painting. They began painting on 30 April 2026; They worked thru the weekend to avoid a bit of rain on Monday; Let it dry out on Tuesday with final touchups on Wednesday 6 May. José and Pablo were the work horses, and I was amazed at their painting techniques, spraying and double rolling to embed the paint into the stucco, and their deftness with handling the brush on the trim. True professionals. I highly recommend Springs Painting Company and if you go with them, ask for David to be your Project Manager. David is the best and you won't be disappointed. I was informed that I would receive a quote within a week. After calling 3 times for the quote, I never received it. I even stated if the project was too small if they could suggest another painter. Each time I was told was researching what happened with no follow up. Not even a quote in the mail. Why state your company was going to follow up on the quote if you had no intention of doing the work? You could have just stated when you came to see Work to be performed. Horrible customer service that could have been prevented and understood if not worth it. Brenda

Rich Harvey, the owner, was great to work with, and his team was professional, respectful, and detail-oriented throughout the entire process. What stood out most was their attention to detail and their focus on making sure I was truly happy with the finished product. That level of care makes a big difference. Harvey's House Painting has officially been added to my preferred vendor list, and they will absolutely be getting the exterior painting job I'm planning in the coming months. Highly recommend.

We contacted Trico, and they quoted a $3,500 minimum, which given the process of painting cabinets, I understand. However, when I explained the situation and asked for an email stating the minimum, they said it would be "unethical to charge that to another contractor" and refused the job. The other contractor told me they understood entirely, so what exactly is unethical? My takeaway is that Trico is there for the big jobs and has zero interest in anything else, which is disappointing as customer that paid for one of those big jobs. EDIT: In response to the owner's reply below, I want to be clear that I'm not trying to misrepresent anything here. I was trying to hire Trico to repair the cabinets. They refused the job only after they learned I'd be reimbursed by another contractor, which I truly just don't understand.
