For the amount of money I've spent on these things, I could have gotten laser eye surgery yet because I'm a spineless chicken, my search for the cheapest pair of contact lenses persists. Contact lenses wearers all know that the price between contact lenses vary ridiculously. I'm not talking the couple of dollars difference between Coles and Woollies here. I mean sometimes I can find the exact same pair of contact lenses for the same prescription being sold at 50% less. The cheapest place I've ever found the prescription is at the Optical Superstore in Capalaba. Note: I can't even get the same price at other Optical Superstores. It's only at the Capalaba shop that my specific brand is so cheap. Of course, it will never be as cheap as buying online but I've turned away from online shopping since I made the foolish mistake of entering in the wrong prescription strength at an online optometrist and getting the wrong pair of contact lenses which they refused to refund. I've never actually had an eye examination here so I can't comment on the quality of their optometrists but if you are just after a pair of glasses or contact lenses, don't be blinded by any other optometrists. read more
