Five Star Property and Living!…read more My wife and I moved here in April 2024 from Texas, since our children and grandchildren were in the immediate area. Lisa and Kayla in the main office were extremely helpful over the phone. We made an exploratory visit in February 2024 and fell in love with the floor plan (3 BR, 2 1/2 BA). Now that we've been living here ten months, I simply wouldn't want to move anywhere else! The rent is unbelievably affordable compared to the other apartments we looked at in East Vancouver. The homes are 1 and 2 story townhomes that are connected together. The community is kept absolutely flawless with lawn maintenance, beautiful trees and flowering shrubs everywhere. Every time I take a walk, everything is so perfectly manicured, it feels like I'm wallking around Disneyland. The community has a beautiful pool, activity center and a basketball court. I love having a closed garage, something most apartments either don't offer or charge a hefty fee. There is lighting at night on every building, so it's very safe and pleasant to take walks. All the applicances are heavy duty units, i.e. washer/dryer, oven, refrigerator, sink disposal, furnace, etc. The few small things we've needed maintenance on have been taken care of promptly by our excellent maintenance guys Nick and Matt. The construction is beautiful and solid for being only 20 years old. Brand new roofs were put on every unit this past Spring. Don't be discouraged if you call and there is no waiting list to be placed on. The turnover is quite slow, since once people move in they don't want to leave! We just had a brand new Trader Joes open literally across the street. In that Columbia shopping center we have a Kohls, a Michaels, Peets coffee and others. So many stores and restaurants are within safe walking distance. We have been thoroughly pleased with all aspects of life here in Columbia Place Townhomes. If I could give a rating of six stars, I would!!

Pros and cons. Pros…read more- Excellent location. Close to stores and restaurants. Safe walking area. Pool and small gym. I had heard bad things about getting the deposit back but we left the apartment in spotless condition, clean oven, patched picture nail holes, no carpet stains, clean bathrooms and windows........ and we got the full deposit back! Cons - Downstairs apartments can hear upstair noise. Each apartment has their own water heater but not enough hot water for more than an 8-10 minute shower so if 2 people live there you can not take a shower back to back. It's difficult to shampoo, condition hair, suds up, shave.....in this short time so we ended up having to take morning AND evening showers to divide our showering necessities. No a/c but you can put in a window a/c (we didn't know this until it was too late). If you decide to go month to month at the end of your lease expect to pay up to $600 more a month! Gutters need cleaning so with hard rainfall water comes down in sheets hitting windows. Our parking lot always flooded. Smoke detector near kitchen was very sensitive so even making toast could set it off. High pet deposits, some non-refundable. Even with the cons we loved the location so the cons were tolerable.

I lived there for five years and the first three years were OK but when the new management took over, things took a real dive. Thank goodness I did my research and the reviews for Park Crest Commons were glowing. Gayle and Rachael are amazing,, note question was too silly for them to answer when I was doing my research before I moved. Maintenance is amazing. In fact, sometimes they show up so quickly I don't even have time to prepare! The grounds are gorgeous. Everything is being or has been updated. The community events that the management team holds for the resident are always very heartwarming and as a caregiver sometimes I have my clients with me and they are welcomed with open arms as well. Again, I really can't say enough about the team here at Park Crest Commons and you won't regret moving here if you do.

Unlike other reviews, our place was clean & we didn't have anything wrong upon move in besides the seal on the backdoor which got fixed before we even officially moved our stuff in. We were lucky that we lived on the side that had more parking & near our mailbox so that was never a problem. Lived here for 3 years & although we loved it things had changed from when we first moved in. We were targeted twice. Once for smoking, which we don't smoke. The person below us smoked on his patio & in his car which he parked right in front of the apartment. I mentioned this to management & I don't think anything was done because it went on for as long as we lived there. Secondly, we got an email about having a gas tank for our grill. We got rid our ours, yet there were many others who still had out on their patio/balconies as well. Clearly no fines or warning were given to them, otherwise they would've gotten rid of theirs too. Another thing was many dog owners did not clean up after their dog. I'd step in poop almost weekly especially during the colder/rainier months. But for all if us who did pick up theirs, which don't get me wrong there were a good amount that did because those trash cans filled up pretty quick. However they'd stay full for days, sometimes over a week. To the point where there are even piles of bags on the grass. Move in & move out was very seamless & management was always nice when we had questions they were always quick to answer. It just seemed like the longer we were there, the more rules there were. Like how we could no longer get big packages at the apartment. We'd have to go to main post office to get them. Besides that, we loved our place & our dog enjoyed meeting all the other dogs that lived in the complex.

It's not a high-end, fancy apartment complex but I've always felt safe, rent was reasonably priced compared to other apartments around the area, and management/maintenance was also responsive to my questions and concerns. The location is by the mall as well as the 2 major freeways and a host of restaurants. The staff usually does one event per month or so and it's nice to go to the office to meet the folks around the apartment. If you're looking to move to Vancouver and looking for a comfortable stay, definitely consider The Grove.

They are always willing to answer the phone, return an email, or even talk face-to-face during the working hours for any questions and/or problems that I had. The rate I had was great as my wife and I lived there for four years and our rate never changed. They have a quick turnaround if there are maintenance problems from the time you input it into the work portal to the time they fix it. Designated parking spots and plenty of guest parking if you have an extra vehicle. Lastly, the apartment we had was very clean when starting out. As you can guest, four years does have some wear and tear. However, be rest assured that they will have it clean and spotless for you as when my wife and I first moved in.

This WAS a nice, clean, affordable complex. In November or December (ish) new ownership took place…read more Almost overnight The Lavonne went WAY DOWNHILL! It's a "100% pet friendly" community and was previously very clean, including a miniature bark park. Maintenance was constantly picking up any visible garbage and dog poop in the bark park. Immediately after the management change, the poop receptacles were overflowing and you couldn't even walk in the bark park without dodging land mines left and right. It appears they cannot get good maintenance staff OR they are too cheap to pay for it. The outside perimeter of the surrounding fence has dog poop about every 5 feet, and garbage + poop bags peppered throughout. It's embarrassing to live here but I can't afford to move at this time. Oh - and all of that after learning my rent was upped by $125.

After making you feel that it's a fair ask. They will simply shut you down the following day. I've been in customer service for over 20 years. Flooring needs to be built better. The place has nice high ceilings but there's zero consideration for the impact of people walking on them. My neighbor upstairs is not a big individual not sure about his cohabitant but I could hear their steps so loudly. Not a good place if you're a light sleeper.

I had brand-new carpet, the appliances are super nice, and everything seems well taken care of inside and out. I have a carport, so parking isn't ever a issue, I think living in a gated complex helps. Lance the maintenance guy is a cool dude and has helped me out a couple times. The women working in the office are friendly, always seem happy to help and answer the phone every time I call. All in all, this is the best apartment I have lived in.
