This was a highlight of our trip because these are two of the nicest people we have ever met. Say nothing of their beautiful home that they willingly shared with us, nor of the very filling and varied breakfasts, comfortable beds, clean rooms, and spacious showers. While all of that was great, the hosts really made us feel at home. They engaged us in conversation, gave us a true sense of life in Wales, took care of our every need, and did all of the little things that really made us feel at home. Cheers to them. If you are passing through Wales, spend a night at Bryn Awel. You will be glad you did.

Had I been in the company of a desireable man, I may have stayed for the whole weekend, but this is sadly a short stopover in a busy week. It is heaven though. My host is Judith who owns this Georgian pile, and who is exuberant, effervecent and passionate about the place. Breakfast is served in the basement kitchen and cooked on the Aga, the rooms are few but utterly individual, and in the summer the patio with a view would be a relaxing place of an evening. Not so inviting in December. Not expensive, great location and a fascinating home. I will be back if possible!

Perfect hosts who are obviously experienced and don't pester you with endless monologues about history or other nonsense, make you feel like home. No matter if you get some tea served in the afternoon, great breakfast (homegrown food - no supermarket trash!) in the morning or spend some time in the absolutely fantastic garden. I recommend the garden view room that we had. Great sight, great size! You know that you are countryside, if you hear cows, birds and maybe a bit farmwork. But hey, it's country life! Some might miss their Wi-Fi, that is not supplied - but hey! It was cool to have a few days offline and enjoy the real life. I rarely say this, but I'd chose this place again, when I come back for the next time.

Steve and Orla had a dream and now this B&B is the result and it is beautiful…read more The four rooms are luxurious and comfy, the food is great, the location is good, the owners are lovely :-) They go out of their way to please their guests with enormous hospitality and very comfortable completely newly built rooms (most of the building done by themselves). For breakfast they offer a tasty choice far beyond the usual Full English. We loved the fresh home baked cake for us to take whenever we wanted. St Davids being a really small place and accommodations filling up easily make sure to book ahead. There is not a lot of parking space in town so it is very convenient that the B&B has its own parking space.
