Place stinks and run down. Super cheap if you can handle staying in a dump then it's worth it

Once you get there, It feels like you're in the southwest or something. I like that you can go there just to have a casual drink outside or even a light study. I went here over two months ago so I can't remember the food much honestly, nothing there stood out like oh my god but I can appreciate their unique menu and fresh ingredients. I remember the server was kinda plain though? Didn't seem enthusiastic and didn't seem to know the menu well either. Overall I'd go back to try the food again but really to enjoy the vibes with some friends.

Started off the night with the mushroom croquetas which are locally sourced from a family in Rockwall. The orange sauce underneath was the standout and the dish had an excellent acidity to it. We then tried the duck salad which was my favorite of the night. The duck was tender and the pickled carrots mixed well with the savory taste. We finished with the pork shank pasta. I personally think the pasta was a little undercooked for my liking but it was still a good plate. The biggest highlight of the night I'd have to say were the drinks. Boom goes the dynamite is my pick but if you like sweeter get the velvet kashmire rita. Expect to pay $50-60 per person just fyi but worth it in my opinion for the ambiance alone.

It's dark, moody, and effortlessly romantic, with a live pianist playing throughout the evening. It's the kind of place that feels intimate without being stuffy, perfect for a date night. The service was honestly some of the best I've had in Dallas. My water never dropped below two sips from full, the team was that attentive. It became amusing (in the best way) how on top of everything they were. Our waiter, Rene, was outstanding. He provided stellar recommendations from starters to entrées, drinks, and desserts. I trusted him enough to let him choose my glass of wine to follow my cocktail, and he nailed it. He also walked us through the menu in detail, which was incredibly helpful as first-time guests. The food absolutely delivered: * Shrimp St. Martins - Five jumbo de-veined shrimp in a rich, butter-like sauce that was decadent without being overwhelming. * Frisée Aux Lardon Salad - Rene thoughtfully split this tableside and served it onto individual plates. The dressing leans heavily Dijon-forward, so order accordingly if you're not a mustard fan. That said, the bacon was some of the best I've ever had: thick, slightly sweet, and perfectly cooked. * Sea Bass Ratatouille - Served over a tomato sauce, it was flavorful, well-balanced, and not too heavy. * Rack of Lamb - An extremely generous portion (which I happily helped my date finish). It was boldly seasoned and on the saltier side, which I personally loved, though I understand that may not be for everyone. * Affogato - A simple but perfect way to close out the meal. Between the romantic atmosphere, top-tier service, and excellent food, this is easily one of the better dining experiences I've had in Dallas.

Apparently it's a Dallas staple restaurant, having been around for more than 44 years, but it is now in a new location as of 2024. Starting from the moment you walk in you are enveloped in a very moody romantic French bistro. Just inside the front door you are greeted by the hostess. There's also a live piano player who plays live music at just the right volume. Tables are covered in white tablecloths with glowing candles. The booths are especially cozy! If you are looking for a romantic dinner spot this is your spot! The service here is on par and the food delicious! This particular night we started with the caviar service, then moved on to the mixed green salad. After that, honestly I was full so I just had Lobster Bisque for dinner while my husband had the lamb. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, but were too full to move onto dessert, maybe next time!

My manhattan cocktail was $20 was a bit on the pricier side, but it was a good beverage. I came without a reservation and was seated, granted I was by myself. A large party should definitely make a reservation. The food options were very good with a good salad bar with charcuterie options, a main entree buffet with chicken, salmon, and beef tenderloin station, and a good-sized dessert table with lots of options. All of the food was very good. I was pleased with the taste and seasonings of much of the food. It is definitely standard banquet-level food but a bit better than that of what I've had at different banquet halls. The dessert table was impressive with cookies, brownies, bread pudding, peach cobbler, and this EXCELLENT flourless chocolate cake! I'm obsessed with that cake! It was too good! The service is also very good. Rather than rushing through Dallas traffic to scramble to eat at a restaurant before a show, I definitely recommend opting to get to Music Hall early to eat at Crystal Terrace. I'll be back!
