First, let me say how impressed and pleased I am at having discovered the Monterey Center of Alameda.
I grew up in a family with a history of repressed guilt, anger, and depression. After a lifetime of seeking relief through diet, meditation, and more than six years of psychotherapy--including anti-bipolar medication--I came to the Monterey Center.
It was apparent from the beginning that I'd found what I'd been looking for, and it's been a wonderful turning point in my life. At last, there's change I can feel--change that my wife and friends actually notice. My wife says, "You're so much easier to get along with." and my boss says, "You're more relaxed." For my part, I feel a new, ever-present sense of peace--and also compassion. Compassion for myself, and for others. I find that now it permeates all my relationships--with my work colleagues, my family, on the road, and everywhere I go.
From the very first session, and in every session since, there's been steady, significant, incremental improvement in my outlook and in my condition. I've experienced release from trapped negative emotions, feel renewed enthusiasm, and gained far-reaching insights into my own behavior and the behavior of others.
The people at the Monterey center don't set themselves up as gurus, wizards, or magicians. You'll soon come to know them as normal people. Valerie and Ron's dedication is impressive, heartwarming, and inspiring. These are serious professionals on a mission to improve people's lives, to stay thoroughly educated and skilled in the use of proven methods, and to make a real difference in the world. There's nothing haphazard, wishy-washy, or hocus-pocus about the techniques they employ. Yet, underlying their professionalism they are sensitive, good-humored, fun loving, honest, and charming. They're not out to alter your beliefs, make you a clone, or change who you are--only to free up your inner self so you can live more joyfully and fully.
These guys are the real deal. I'm delighted to recommend the Monterey Center to anyone who's looking to improve their life and make lasting, noticeable change for the better. read more
