Unpleasant experience yesterday at the pharmacy. I live in Mishicot so I have to travel to pick up…read moremy scripts. At 1:30pm I put in for my refill online like I usually always do. I set pick up time for 4pm knowing I wouldn't get there until at least 5:30. Figured that would give them even more time to fill it if they were busy. Got to the store at 5:30, did some shopping, then went back to the pharmacy to pay and pick up my script around 5:45. Mind you, this is now more than 4 hours after I put in my request and more than 1.5 hours past the time I had requested. The girl at the counter looked at me completely dumbfounded when I told her I had a pick up, clicked around on the computer and then said, "we just got your request now, it will be about 15 minutes or so." Are you KIDDING ME?! I stared at her, annoyed, and stated that I had put my request in in the early afternoon, gotten an email receipt stating that the location had received my request, and I was over an hour late picking up from my requested time, AND IT STILL WASN'T READY?! Absolutely ridiculous. Add to this that I had my extremely antsy 3 year old boy with me who was overdue for dinner, and after 15 more minutes trying to entertain him in a Walgreens with five feet of toys to look at, THEY STILL DIDN'T HAVE MY SCRIPT READY. Come on guys. Get it together. Don't offer online prescription refills if you can't fill them on time. Or, in my case, not even remotely close to on time.

She even laughed at my jokes. Told me my prescription would be ready in 15 minutes. It was ten. I had other questions which the pharmacist was more than willing to help me out. He went above and beyond my expectations. I always appreciate helpful and friendly folks. Beyond the pharmacy there are aisles and aisles of everything from beauty supplies, various food stuffs, OTC drugs, beers and the photo center. I come from an era when drugstores had soda fountains and food service. But those days are gone; and the curmudgeon in me has to get with the times. (Anyone else remember Oriental Drugs in Milwaukee?) As I walked out the front door the clerk at the front desk was eyeing me a little as I had a bag in my hand. I said "I have a receipt, don't tackle me". She said "you're no fun". Smiles all around! My experience here was quick and pleasant. Everyone was super nice. Bottom line, if you need a prescription filled, Epsom salts, hydrogen peroxide, or a 12 pack of beer, among other things. It would behoove you to visit this Walgreen's. They probably have what you need and they'll be nice to you.

Went in to get a script filled. Pharmacist informed me my insurance wouldn't pay for it. Then he directed me to an OTC product that was the exact of my prescription for a third of the price. You can call in your order and pick it up, or have it delivered. If you are looking for a capable pharmacist, and smiling faces, it would behoove you to patronize this fine business.

I was looking for something to help myself and a relative with easier sleep, and the guy gave me some samples to try of a few products and recommended the best per his opinion. Delta 8 and other legal THC products in stock I was also graced with a business card. a twenty percent off coupon for my next stop in, a 20% off next purchase coupon on the back, and more solid advice from the owner/budtender. Rest assured that this new experience won't break the bank, either -- prices were higher than here in wild and wooly Oklahoma, yes, but not necessarily exponentially so. The downside is that they will run as many tests as they can. The main goal here seems to be to extract as much money as they can. But this is the American health system. It's all about profit. My sweetie is here a second time in two days. The tests and exams go on and on. Yes, they are needed, we are told. I do recommend this clinic, they do a good job. I sometimes wonder what their priorities are. They are part of the medical industrial complex. American health care's bottom line is profit, to the point people can lose their home due to a huge medical bill. So people skip medical care because they cannot afford it. Something has to change.
