All sports are directed as if they're trying to get to kids to go for the Olympics rather than enjoy the exercise and teamwork that sports is supposed to offer. My student was told to cut out diary, bread, sugar, and otherwise eat like a rabbit. For what? We all know Bowie isn't exactly a state wide competitor.. Bathrooms seem to solely exist for smoking and other .. activities. Homework is busy work, stacked up to try to replace the sorry excuse of teaching. Tests seem to be the only measure of intelligence. And the effect is that kids are depressed, cruel to each other, and making friends is hard. No one I know seems to have enjoyed their time here at all. Special shout out to AP Gov teacher Mr Morris. May God bless his endeavors.

It was better than Jr. High. The school in no way prepared me for college. Here I made honor roll every quarter and found it easy to make good grades. My poor study habits made me into a very dumb college student. Having said that, there were good and bad teachers and good and bad experiences. Being a baby boomer, my class was humongous and I didn't know many people. I'm surprised how many people I met later in life that was in the same class as me. You'll never forget high school. Go Bulldogs!

This year the Counsellors office is doing a fantastic job guiding them as they walk through the College Applications process. Her friendships are strong and reflect Seton's sisterhood which is diverse and inclusive. The President Dr. Grillo, brings a strong vision to empower and prepare Seton students and calm, thoughtful and prayerful leadership. She is warm and genuinely interested in each and every student's dreams and accomplishments. All of the staff seem to want to cultivate confidence in them to excel. Mrs. McDonough, the principal is always helpful and responsive. Students are encouraged to advocate for themselves, especially with class selection & teachers. While walking my dog, I noticed how well-maintained and family-friendly the grounds were. I could hear the school intercom during what sounded like a summer program activity, possibly a rock-paper-scissors tournament, which created a fun and positive atmosphere. The park itself offers plenty of options for children and families, including playground equipment, swings, slides, basketball and tennis courts, and educational nature signs featuring local wildlife information. The grounds were clean and well-kept overall. The only area that appeared to need some attention was portions of the foam safety surface beneath the playground equipment. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning. Bowie continues to impress as a community that is welcoming to both families and pets. Adult swings and plenty of places to set for lunch our gold drink.

When I drop my child off, I'm greeted by every staff member and they know my child by name including the principal. Lastly, I love that even if my child shows up with a scratch at school, they call me. It might sound like a lot for some parents, but this reassures me that he's an environment that prioritizes safety and attentiveness to each individual child.
