Yesterday I had my third haircut here. Second time being cut by Hannah. She is definitely my go-to now. Both cuts from her were flawless. My main issue with most barbershops are that they rush. They have you in and out of that chair in 5 minutes even if there's no wait and you get home and there's always at least one spot that's not even or not blended well. I had given up finding a barbershop in Beaver County that takes the time to do it right. Hannah definitely does it right. When I came in, I was the only customer. 5 minutes into my cut two more gentlemen walked in and I thought, crap, she's going to rush to finish me now, because that's what I'm used to. Not the case at all. Despite being the only one working and a third guy coming in after the two, she took her time and went over my hair carefully and thoroughly. Making sure it was cut precisely. I also had my beard trimmed which I've never gotten anywhere before and she made it look really nice. If you're the kind of person who's impatient/hates waiting, be warned that if there's a few people ahead of you, you might have to sit there a while... but trust me, it's worth the wait. read more

I brought my nephew in for a haircut and I saw they do beard trims. I am 5 months into growing my latest beard. I probably have 2" to 3" growth. The older barber did an amazing job. He cleaned up my beard nicely without taking to much off of it. I would definitely go back in a few months after I get some more length. Thanks. read more

Thought I found a new barbershop. Got my first haircut there by Brandon and it was really good, however I noticed the frequent breaks by the barbers which makes your wait time much longer than it should be. Today I tried getting my sons haircut, he's only a baby. They had a long line, about 6 people ahead of us and I accepted a long wait time. I was there over an hour and watched every barber take 1-2 breaks. Finally after an hour my son is ready for his haircut, first barber picks up a coffee and heads to the break room, next barber decides its best to clean the shaving cream dispenser for 10 minutes. I couldn't take it anymore, I got up and left. I tip between 7-10$ every haircut, but I will 100% take my business back to Main Street barbers! Never again. The only reason it's not a one star is because of Brandon, he saves you a little bit in my book. read more

I have lived in the area nearly all of my life. I have gone to the big chains and other "mom and pop" shops. Honestly there is not a better place to get your hair cut than here. The shop is newly remodeled with all new floors, chairs, and sinks. The walls and decor are brand new, as well. While it is recently under new management, it is the same staff that has created "regulars" for years. You know the barbers are great when people will sit and wait 3-4 turns for their favorite barber (Hannah is my favorite, but people wait for the others too). The prices are great and they are more than willing to give you whatever style you desire: simple to unique. If you're in Beaver County or the surrounding area, this is the place to go. read more

went to the Local barbershop for the first time the other day and Brandon and Jessica were there. I ended up getting Jessica to cut my hair, and she was great very friendly to talk with and gives great advice on ways to style your hair. the whole time I was there you can hear Brandon talking with his client and again friendly and genuinely interested in the customer's stories. The shop is really clean and you can tell they take pride in their business. the prices are very reasonable. I have used another shop for years and on this day I showed up hours are open to 7:00 and the door was locked and the barber came to the door and said he was closing early it was 5:30 and only one person in the chair at first I was pissed, but now I am glad because I found the Local Barbershop and they are now going to get my business they are open later for us who work til 5 or later this is a major plus ,so when you are ready to get your next cut give them a try you will come out looking sharp I had several people at work comment on my cut and said it looked way better than what I was getting before. to me this is the best shop in town read more

I've been going here my whole life, and the transition for Mickeys to Local was nothing but a major step in the right direction. It's locally owned by a barber and she does a great job running it. I have yet to be I unsatisfied, I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a steady place. It's like $16 for a adult haircut I think, but it's worth it to me to spend a couple dollars more for the service and the local business aspect. Barbers are very friendly and I can almost guarantee Pete will be playing either an old documentary or some 80's Rock and roll tribute movie. As long as I live in the area, I'm a customer for life. Have been going to this barber shop for close to ten years and I have never been to a better barber shop. Very friendly people the experience is always great. The remodel is fantastic which makes the experience so much better. They aren't there just to make a dollar they actually care to take their time and get to know their customers.
