Now that was an epic night! I have to force myself to rate the venue, not the occasion: a pit stop before starting a 3-day 55km hike in the barely charted wilderness of the Morton National Park.
The venue is clean, with a warm feel thanks to abundant wood, rugs and carpet. The innkeepers - love that word, so old-school - are very nice and they keep a enjoyable venue!
The food is good, not a gastronomical revolution, but above what you could expect from a pub.
Beers, a good burger for $15, a deck of cards, a few friends, a simple bedroom for $40 a night: the easy life really and good value for your money!
I'd put three and a half star, but there's no halves !
