The food , the staff , the Venue for the event,the sound system is top notch professional level, the owner Monica,her mother Nancy, and aunt Frankie have the biggest smiles along with that feeling of happiness and gratitude for their customers, our old theater that we all grew up in got a facelift and people are not going to the shows, it's still the LaMar Beautiful, only now dancing, food and drinks , all in good taste, two area contractors, one a plumbing contractor and one Evergreen Electric, Davey and Bowman did a great job with the electric are still doing all they can to support and contribute as well as the plumbing company, I believe DJS , they as well go above and beyond to help a struggling startup music venue from a theater which can still run a cinematic picture show , but nothing out of TinselTown is worth watching, the LaMars sister theater The GOTHIC Theater in Englewood Co. kicks some butt with Rock and Roll plus Metal and hard rock , Lamar Co. population for our whole area is around 7,800 hundred people, Come to the LaMar for a new and enjoyable experience, I love it and feel at home in the theatre almost like a kid again! read more

This place is wrecked and has become a bar with Country Fair-level or past-their-prime musical acts on its makeshift stage. Perfect for a select group of trash who live in Lamar to put on their best outfits from Walmart on to "go to Main Street" to have fun. AVOID. read more

Don't go in there expecting IMAX experience but its decent theater for a small town. The inside is like an actuall theater, where they have live plays, but with a big screen instead of a stage. The cellings are really high with paintings. It also has enough seating to fit the whole town of lamar! Unlike the bigger cities, the movies here are few weeks old. There is also not much selection. Most of the time, they have 2 major blockbuster releases playing. Cash only. Around $8 for movie. Sometimes it's only a dollar if you attend LCC. read more

We were in town for a baseball tournament and the owner of the Lamar Theater arranged a private showing for us! Gotta love small town hospitality. We had a fantastic time. The theater space is absolutely beautiful...much of the architecture and design was probably lost on the 10 and 12yos....but the parents were in awe. Thank you so much! :) read more
