Bobbi has cut my hair twice and done an outstanding job both times. I'm getting ready to try and get another appointment but thought I should leave a review first. I have very thick hair and I've had my share of bad haircuts or people who just do not seem comfortable dealing with my hair. But Bobbie was quick, precise, and asked good questions to be sure she and I were on the same page. The place itself is a fun but professional atmosphere. The employees are all friendly but I've never heard them be gossipy and I've never heard any of the ladies complaining about politics, which is a BIG pet peeve of mine. I do not want to go get my hair cut and hear about your personal political views. I saw the work other people were getting and honestly everyone looked great. The ONLY caveat I will give is that the nail salon smell is extremely strong. It's the only reason I haven't been back in a while because I couldn't take the smell when I was pregnant. This may sound odd but i remember so many times getting my hair done and hearing gossip, and the girls talking about drama and you feel like youre being judged..... Walking into The Kru is like the complete opposite and I loved it for just that alone right off the bat. It has a relaxed feel to it and the girls are so accommodating and make you feel comfortable; and that you matter as a client. I had the pleasure of first visiting through a promotion they ran and just recently went back and was lucky to have Sandra cut my hair again. Outside of doing a great job she made me feel like a friend and somehow did exactly what I wanted even though I came in clueless. Had high hopes for this salon because of the reviews. I called Wednesday morning and was told the next open appointment would on Friday at 10AM. I adjusted my work schedule for the day to come for this appointment that was made. I also live about 45 mins away from the salon. I showed up and hair stylist was not there nor did I know her name. Another nail tech was there trying to the best she could to contact who made the appointment but she didn't have any luck either. read more

I went to the kru and Gino did my hair. If your looking for someone to get the job done right. You NEED to ask for him. I was skeptical at first on who I wanted doing my hair because there were countless times I'd go home and be unhappy or unsatisfied. From my consultation I knew Gino would do a great job. Yesterday, something life altering happened. I met Andrea!! I recently decided to make a drastic change and color my hair for the very first time. Unfortunately, it did not turn out how I asked. Desperately, I asked around and was recommended to call, The Kru. I was directed to Andrea. She was so patient, kind, detailed and thorough with my color correction.... I was blown away by the time she took for me. I'm honored to say she truly touched my life in the most inspiring way, both physical and emotionally. I've had my hair done by Bobbie for 4 years and nails done by Olivia for 3 years and I always get what I want! I even refer people I don't know! So a word of advice to those that say the girls are rude, "Treat others how you want to be treated." You walk in being snotty and stuck up that's exactly how your going to get treated! And for the others complaining about the gossip and being chatty, your in a place full of women who have lots of time, what do you expect? Very nice and friendly as soon as you walk in. Gino does my hair and he is absolutely amazing! He is very careful and detailed with his work. He takes care of you from beginning to end. Whatever hair color you're trying to achieve, he will get you there carefully. But I found Gino on instagram and I admired his work... so I gave it a shot and went to go see him, made an appointment and decided to go forward with it. My hair had red, green, Browns. And my hair was a disaster, So I was a little nervous! Gino worked his magic and I have to say it's the best hair I've ever had. He was very sweet and he took his time to make sure it was perfect. I have never seen my hair so pretty. I was def in great hands. As for the salon itself it was very hip and vibe was very friendly. I loved thier nail bar but for now its way over budget. Maybe a bday treat. The ladies were very nice and offered water or coffee and up to date magazines. If you want a quiet, expensive, uppity salon then go elsewhere. These ladies are real, they are fun, they are a family, they love what they do and they are fantastic at it. I watch these ladies and see their work as I am there every two weeks. I've seen the amazing work they ALL do. I've experienced their work first hand and for anyone who says they are not friendly let me tell you this, I am a foster parent and I took in two little girls of mixed race as I did not know how to handle their hair and they helped me by telling me what to use, how often to wash, how to condition, then Bobbi proceeded to style the little girls hair for me, at no charge. The owner cut my hair, it was cute. Went back again, wanted something completely different but got the same cut. Can I stuck in a rut? Besides the same old look, I can honestly say that I thought this place rude and snobby. Also, when I was waiting for my hair dresser she was in the middle of a conversation...ok, finish. I would never recommend this place to anyone. My regular hair gal moved to this place and I followed. I ended up buying a special card thing that they were doing for promotion that included hair, nails and deep conditioning. OMG...when I came in to use it they treated me like I was some piece of crap, they were so rude to me! I paid money for that promotion, it wasn't like I was getting something for free! So I used my promotion (only because I had paid for it), the girl who did my hair LEFT ME at the hair sink without a towel under my head and was busy chatting and gossiping with other people and left me there for 20 minutes without checking on me or asking me anything. The next day I had a massive sore on the back of my head from sitting there for so long. But once again I came back another time to see my regular hair gal and once again the young lady that works at the front desk was a total rude "b" to me. I love the girl who does my hair, but I refuse to go back there again...the people who work there gossip and chat amongst themselves and the front desk girl is pretty much one of the most rude people I've ever met. Don't offer a promotion to get people into your salon if you're going to treat them like garbage! I will NEVER go back. read more
