I hve recently stopped smoking due to ill health and decided to spend the saved money on a decent haircut. A friend recommended Tony&Guy. I made an appointment. I was very apprehensive but this was needless! What lovely people. I was made welcome and Gemma, who did my hair, let me explain that I was trying to grow my hair but it was in such a mess! She explained what she could do for me. I can honestly say that I have NEVER EVER had a better haircut (more a restyle really). I am SO pleased. A while ago I had a very sore flaky scalp & asked the senior stylist to take a look she recommended I went to see my GP & she gave me some prescription products thankfully it has cleared up . Te salon is always spotless with people wiping down &'sweeping up the whole of the time your there. You get offered a variety of refreshments from teas & coffees to juices waters wines & Buck's Fizz it's very children friendly & I would recommend it to any one

This is an excellent little hairdressing salon. Expect to wait about a week for an appointment if…read moreyou want to have the whole works, but if it is just a trim, then very often you can be seen the next day. The prices are very reasonable. The girls are friendly, interested and know what they are doing. The salon is constantly busy, and they give you free tea, coffee with a little biscuit while you are waiting or having a long treatment. Although the salon is on a corner with large glass windows, you are not exposed to the world whilst being worked on. Your privacy is respected. It reminds me of the salon in 'Steel Magnolias'. I have my hair highlighted, lowlighted, straightened and cut here and would not go anywhere else. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Free parking in neighbouring streets not a problem.

The member of staff who told us this explained that it is better for people with special needs to come out on a week day when the shop is less busy. The potential clients were not asking for special treatment or a discount; they would have waited patiently, had ordinary haircuts, paid with cash and gone home happy. What a shame that didn't happen.
