Our older daughter started at Trinity/Vivvi in 2018 and now our younger daughter is there in the infants class. The teachers and administrators are the most considerate and thoughtful, and the facility is laid out for a child-led, montessori type experience. The best thing about Vivvi/Trinity is that there's a healthy balance between focusing on the needs of working parents and centering a rich, engaging experience for the kids. For your child, you want a clear lesson plan with good structure and lots of play, and as a parent, you want flexible hours and good communication. Other daycares in the neighborhood have more one or the other, but here you get both. This isn't to say that there are little hiccups; there are little things everywhere. But our teachers run their own classrooms and have things like the health insurance that are not common in other early child education. You can feel the difference. Our one-year-old has been enrolled since late-2020 and in just a short amount of time, we've seen so much growth that we directly attribute to her days at KA! From increased language and physical skills to the importance they place on teaching patience, sharing, and independence, our little one is thriving. Paige, Cristal, and now Anissa make such a meaningful effort to reinforce values that will help our kiddo develop, both emotionally and mentally. They've also helped us with several big growth milestones and transitions. The teamwork and communication is really helpful. Beyond the educational benefits, KA is unfussy and grounded -- sometimes a rare find in lower Manhattan. Everyone we've met is empathetic and supportive without coddling; there is structure without rigidity. We were immediately attracted to their leveled, non-reactive approach to big emotions. There are also toys, dolls, and books that represent everyone! And, probably most importantly for a bunch of babies and toddlers, they make the days FUN. Fun art projects, music and dancing, gym and outdoor time, water play, books galore -- June is WIPED at the end of the day and sleeps like a rock at home. We couldn't be happier! You are also kept up to date on any plans, policies, changes etc. The place is clean (back when you could go inside it), they keep individual items well segregated as well. They have an awesome gym room for the kids to play around in. During my kid's time here he learned to talk, learned his abcs, numbers, saying sentences, was potty trained, and well socialized with lots of other kids. Our profile. We are a working couple so needed something that is flexible, well located, and low drama where we could get excellent care. Kiddie @ Tribeca fit those needs well. We will forever be grately and have fond memories of our time there.

Man, sending your kid to be taken care of by strangers can be tough…read more I was fully prepared to hate every daycare we toured and subsequently convince my wife that I should quit my job and take care of our little girl full time, because no one was good enough to do the job.* But we loved Changing Tomorrow as soon as we walked inside. The location may not be ideal (for us or in general - it's located in a construction-clogged area of Downtown Brooklyn), but the facilities are excellent, and the people are wonderful. It is brand new, clean, and very well run. It's as if they took stock of the bougie parents in the neighborhood, and decided to create a daycare that offered everything they might want: Flexible schedules and long hours (open 7 am to 7 pm). Nurse on site at all times. Organic food catered for the kids (after they turn 1). Montessori methods that focus on the cognitive, social, and emotional development of your kid. Frequent activities like dance, soccer, finger-painting, and trips to the park when it's nice out. Best of all, they have monthly meetings where they take suggestions for what the parents would like to see from the school, and they actually try and implement those suggestions where it makes sense. (I wish those meetings weren't at 7 am, but I suppose getting up early is part of being a parent.) We're only a couple of weeks in at this point, but so far I have to say that the staff is just amazing. They put up with the minute and specific instructions we (and I imagine all parents) throw at them on a daily basis, and they are shockingly on top of the Brightwheel app that they use to keep us updated on our child throughout the day. Yesterday I got over a dozen photos and videos of my daughter, plus updates on her naps, feedings, diaper changes, and more. My kid still cries every time I drop her off, but it's really gratifying to see a smiling photo of her just a little bit later so I know she isn't crying all day. A huge thank you to Meridith the Education Director, Ms. Victoria, Ms. Janiece, Ms. Maria, and all the other wonderful people that work here. I'm constantly surprised that the teachers in the other age groups (that don't spend the day caring for her) recognize my daughter on sight when we walk in the door; it makes the place feel a lot more like a family. Thank you all for taking care of our daughter; I know it isn't easy, and we really appreciate how much you care. Amanda was so wonderful and found a place for us at very short notice. We weren't expecting much -- we were just happy to have found somewhere so quickly -- but our daughter flourished and thrived under their care. Amanda was extremely communicative and seemed to know everything about how our child was developing. She is so great with the children and just an extremely positive force to be around. We never worried for a second when our daughter was there. The teachers were wonderful at helping her adapt to her first daycare, and then helping her transition to the toddler class. We got regular updates and photographs throughout the day that regularly made us laugh. They came up with really great ideas for activities. They calmed us when we were worried and gave us tips to help her along. The facilities here are amazing, but the staff are what makes it great. We HIGHLY recommend Changing Tomorrow Academy and will be eternally grateful for how they took care of our little one.

Couldn't walk or talk or anything. Now he poops in the toilet all by himself and uses words like delicious and floss. Insane. What a journey. I remembering hugging all his teachers for the last time. We were all crying. So much love flowing that day. Not to mention, gratitude. That's what I felt the deepest. Sadness and loss for sure. But mostly, I felt thankful. Because what the heck would we have done without childcare? We never would have made it. I cannot believe our good fortune, both in being able to afford daycare, but also having loving teachers who were really good at their jobs. It's funny, I was thinking about the old phrase, "good help is hard to find."No it's not. Good help is as abundant as the sun. Care is not a scarce commodity. Competent people are not rare, unreliable or hiding somewhere. What's hard to find is our own ability to recognize it, afford it, access it, trust it, accept it, and acknowledge how much of our lives depend on it. The transformation my son underwent during those two years? It's not a miracle. It's thousands of tiny acts performed by caring people. Meals served. Diapers changed. Tears soothed. Words repeated. Shoes tied. Conflicts mediated. Naps negotiated. Bodies protected. We applied to our daycare during the second trimester, got on the waiting list, and the day he turned six months, we sent him to school. And now he's like a real person. This is such an important skill, and the Goddard School does an excellent job of teaching it. Overall, we have been extremely happy with The Goddard School in New York. We intended to start our journey with BH in September of 2020 but the pandemic happened and we held…read moreoff for a few more months just to see how everything settled as daycare facilities started to open back up after the shut-down. We ended up starting our son when he was 10.5 months old in the infant room. As much as a new parent worries about their child, I really felt so comfortable knowing how safe and happy he was there. Every day, the app was updated with details on his feedings, sleep, diapers, activities, and even pictures of everything he was doing that day (which went a long way since parents are not allowed inside at this time for health and safety measures). I genuinely trust all the teachers to keep him safe, enrich his learning, and have fun doing it. I get regular check-ins with the teachers and the staff about his progress (which has been really incredible - I'm almost upset we didn't start sooner!). When we transitioned him to the 1 yr old classroom, the infant teacher, the toddler teacher, AND the director of the center all met with us (virtually bc of Covid) to help us make a smooth transfer from one space to the next (which is kind of a big deal bc kids take naps on cots, they all keep the same schedule, there's different toys and activities, etc). I was so pleased with how much attention is given to my son and his learning and growth. He's in a class with 8 total students now and 2-3 teachers at any given time. Every day the teachers plan different activities for students' development - like yoga, art, songs, literacy, science, and probably more that I'm forgetting! The teachers put in daily notes to us, letting us know if we need to bring more diapers or if someone had a little too much fun with the apple butter that it required a shirt change (haha!) - so we always feel in the loop even though we can't physically go into the center at this time. Also, I want to just mention their health and safety protocols bc it's so important and they do an absolutely phenomenal job with this for a few reasons: 1. They have a very efficient process utilizing their app to do the covid screening (do you have a fever, cough, have you travelled, etc) before you enter the facility 2. There's always a warm and happy greeter at the door (in head to toe PPE) who checks the screening form, then takes the temperature of both the child and the parent before the child is allowed entry 3. All the staff wear masks (seen in all the photos posted in the app too!) and takes health and safety very seriously 4. If there are any health (non-Covid) issues (like a scratch or head bump), they immediately call you to inform you of the incident (they always preface the call with "he is okay, but..." which I appreciate so I don't freak out) and then they present a report detailing the incident at pickup so everyone has a clear record. We really couldn't be happier having sent our son here - he has learned how to nap better, weaned off bottles way easier, learned all kinds of new skills, made friends and so much more all because of the wonderful teachers and staff at Bright Horizons! The teachers here are utterly disdainful that they have to take care of your kids. They have no interest in it. Leave them in poop diapers all day, probably take their food too. Hopefully there will be a in depth investigation of this BH bc of so many complaints.
