The front office secretary/clerk, MARRRIELLE, has zero people's skills, communication skills, and professionalism. She needs to be shown where she stands in her position as a check-in clerk. They've considerably improved their quality of service and care this past year by having Dr. Shawn S. as permanent Chiropracter. He's known for revitalizing The Joint offices where needed. This location is now his home base. Also there are new, friendly efficient front office staff so you will get good service from them and then an amazing adjustment from Dr. Shawn who know just about every technique to get you adjusted right. My teen son and I are both patients. He's there Sunday through Thursday but I would call for specific times that he will be there during the day. read more

Don't get to this location often as it is further from my house than other locations, but when I do stop in the staff & doctors are great and I can always count on a quick visit and be on my way quickly. Also being open 7 days a week is great and convenient! read more

Giving this location one star based on the second of two experiences that I had. I visited this location back in October to have an adjustment. I saw Dr. Keith and he was very helpful, informative, and I left feeling better. I enjoyed the first visit. If this review was based off of this visit only, I would have given 4-5 stars. I had just gotten back in town from a work trip and my back was sore. Based off the last visit I had there, I couldn't wait to get in and get adjusted. I was certain it was just what my back would need. I was sorely (see what I did there?) disappointed... I met with Dr. Chris and explained my pain and why I was there. After a short discussion he asked me to lie down and he took a look at my back. After just a moment of checking out my vertebrae the diagnosis was something I never knew. One leg was shorter than the other! How in the world have I made it this far in life without knowing that? An interesting tidbit of information from Dr. Chris about the Cumming area is that he sees this issue all the time. I never knew that so many fellow Forsythians suffered from one-leg-longer-than-the-other syndrome. I have heard of leper colonies. I guess that Cumming is a community of people who need their V-8! Must be something in Lake Lanier! So after the brief discussion about my abnormality and very brief adjustment, I was told my spine was in the shape of a "C" and that if I didn't sign up for their monthly plan and start on a weekly regimen of getting adjustments, I would be miserable later in life. The only thing that would be miserable if I signed up for that plan is my wallet. I was asked before leaving if I felt better, the truth is, I felt worse, but I just wanted to get the hell out of there so I didn't have to hear about this plan anymore. Then I checked out, which the receptionist was pleasant enough, but only tried to give me the hard sale 5 more times before I left. So why am I writing this review? This is normal for Chiropractors to want to sign you up for their plans. I get it, I should just move on and chalk it up to business as usual. This is where I have my problem... I woke up feeling even worse the next morning after this "adjustment." I booked a Doctors appointment first thing this morning to get checked out. After some X-rays, a thorough examination, and two prescriptions (not to mention the Doctor's bill); it turns out that there was no issue at all with my spine. I just strained the muscles pretty badly. Probably something I did in lifting my luggage on the plane. What about my C-shaped spine? Straight as an arrow. As for my recently diagnosed case of one-leg-shorter-than-the-other... You should have seen the look on my nurse's face trying to contain her laughter. The "adjustment" I got from Dr. Chris probably didn't make things better at all. With all of the twisting, pressure, and stretching; it probably made my muscles strain even worse than they were. Look, there's value in chiropractic services. I'll still get occasional adjustments - when done correctly they feel great. However, next time I'll be going somewhere else; this is the last time that I ever visit The Joint. read more

I was barely able to walk, couldn't get out of or into the car, wasn't even able to turn over in bed. I have had this back problem before and have successfully used other Chiropractors. So I am familiar with chiropractic care. So I immediately looked for a chiropractor open on Sunday. I read some of the reviews and was considering going somewhere else. I ended up going to this location because it was so close. I am glad I did. Dr. Kieth was outstanding. He listened to my issues and got me on the right track back to being functional. It took me a few visits but I feel so much better that I have trouble imagining going anywhere else. Compared to other Chiropractors, I felt he was superior. I got better faster than the other Chiropractors and I am a bigger guy and he seemed to be able to handle that. The person at the front desk was very friendly and sympathetic to my pain. I usually have a great experience, but they really close at 6:45. I arrived at 6:45 in pain and I rushed to get there after work, but they had already closed up for the day. I asked if they could serve me quickly but they refused siting that they had turned off their computers. I guess going home early is more important than taking care of people. read more

I signed up for 1 month. I paid over $100. I had no idea I was signing a membership and I have no memory of that being explained to me. I moved from the area and didn't even use what I paid for fully. Then I was charged $80/monthly with no idea. I contacted the store to terminate and try to get a refund since none of it was used. At first I was told I had to come in to sign papers but when I said I moved from the area I was told I could sign via email but had to hurry and return the email so I wouldn't be charged another $80 on April 5. 24 hours later with no email or update I called the office twice. Then I was told I didn't have to sign anything and they would just terminate ?? So now I have no proof that this happened and I am not getting a refund ?? This was my first experience with a chiropractor and I am so embarrassed to even be writing this. I have never written a negative review but BUYER BEWARE. The Joint sucks. I've been a "The Joint" customer and fan for years, however the quality of service at this location has gone downhill. There are a few really great chiropractors there that do a wonderful job, but the experience is inconsistent based on who is working. My most recent visit consisted of a 5 min adjustment that neither resolved my pain or came close in addressing my range of motion. The chiropractor didn't listen to anything I had to say and insisted that I should come back more often if I wanted to feel better. I went straight from the Joint to another chiropractor and received a thorough adjustment which relieved all pain. read more

Every time I feel a little out of whack and my back hurts I go to the Joint in cumming and they fix me right up. There prices are cheaper than a insurance co pay. Plus no appointments necessary which is great with my busy schedule. Love this place. read more

They adjust everyone the same without considering each persons individual needs. While doing neck manipulation, which was given every time, Alex hit the back of my neck with an instrument that made a clanking sound. I was not advised he was going to do this and never saw the instrument. I only felt pain and then extreme heat run down my neck. Over the next few day I experienced numbness to left side and weakness in body. He didn't think it was a stroke and had me come back in a few days at which time he took my blood pressure and it was high so then he ask me to go to the er. I went to the er to find out I had had five small strokes and was hospitalized. I don't recommend this chiropractor or the joint. Be sure to read what you sign. read more

Quick 5 min non thorough adjustments. The customer service does not work with you at all. They will just blow you off and let you cancel your membership without question. It's ok, I'll take my business elsewhere. Go check them out, it's good until you become a regular. Not so nice then. Good luck, I won't be referring my friends there anytime soon. read more

They will tell you that you are signing up for only two months. However they will continue to charge you after that amount of time and they will then tell you it was a two month "minimum". I was specifically told that it was a two month plan and then as needed after that. They will spend a lot of time on your first adjustment and after that, they will spend 5 minutes max. Dropped into this location for the first time. Amazing experience! Everyone there made you feel welcome and comfortable. Danielle was wonderful helping with all my questions and paperwork! Dr Thomas gave me probably the most thorough exam and adjustment I've ever had. She listened to my concerns and then addressed them all in my adjustment. Fantastic job!! My husband went in today as he has a bulging disc that sometimes causes his back to "go out". It went out on Sunday and he desperately needed an adjustment and went in today. He waited and waited while Dr. Chris droned on and on to another patient about what an expert he was, very loudly and proudly, rather than concerning himself with the other patients waiting. After waiting a substantial time in pain, my husband got up and walked to the back only to see the "doctor" lying on one of the procedure beds still droning on and on, doing nothing, while patients waited in pain. There was previously a very good and competent female chiropractor here, which I why I suggested to my husband to go here. Hopefully they will get her back.
