Delightful staff, very prompt and courteous. Picked up very quickly on what I was looking for in a haircut and cut it just like I like it.

Gorrell's Barber Shop

Gorrell's Barber Shop

Gorrell's Barber Shop is the place to go for a no-frills, old-fashioned haircut. Gabe has been at…read morethis for decades. His dad started this shop about 150 years ago and Gabe was at his side in diapers learning from the best. They built this shop from bricks they made themselves and the rest of Kingston was built around it. You won't find a more traditional business anywhere. Come in and listen to the stories the locals tell while you wait your turn. There's no telling what you'll learn here. Maybe an unknown bit of history, a little gossip, some local (or possibly even national) sports news. In fact, Gabe is also a professional musician who knows a good bit about the local music scene. Not only is this a monument to Kingston history, it's also a showcase of conscientiousness. Gabriel Gorrell really takes care of his customers. I've watched him countless times taking a half-hour or more on men with little to no hair. In fact, I've been a loyal customer of his for 18 years. He spends the same amount time on my hair now in 2025 that he did in 2007, all while it has been thinning. I have never been disappointed with a single haircut in all these years. Neither have I gone to any other barber (or hairdresser) since I started visiting Gabe's shop. Sure, I've stretched a couple of truths a little, but nothing I've said about Gabes work. Do yourself a favor and drive as far as you have to for a cut from Marshall County's Head Barber, Gabriel Gorrell.
