Stayed here for the Berlin Marathon, and it was a wonderful experience! Very conveniently located to the major U-bahn (metro) and train stations. The hotel caters to foreigners, so the staff are required to be fluent in English. There are also a ton of restaurants on that street if you want to venture outside of the hotel offerings. If you have Amex and book through the Hotel Collection, then there's a $100 hotel credit that can be used on the property.
Room: European hotel rooms tend to be smaller than in America, but it was clean and well maintained. It's located off the main street, so it's quiet at night. They offer free glass water bottles at the check in, and you can always ask for more, and there's a bottle opener in the room. There's a bag in the room that you can hang on the hook outside your door for breakfast pastries for a charge. They do offer laundry services, but it's priced by item so too expensive in my opinion. There's no gym in the actual hotel, but they have a deal with a local one nearby, so you just ask the front desk for free access there.
Lobby: Lots of people loved to hang out or do work here! Very comfy couches and chairs. They do have an Indian restaurant on site, and they serve a limited more American style menu in the lobby with a burger lunch deal. At night, people are there in the lobby and bar enjoying a nightcap. Free WiFi in the hotel and rooms.
Overall: Great option if you're coming in for the Berlin Marathon! read more
