That's the only downside because we clearly had no knowledge this virus would get this bad. Very knowledgeable, kind, and went out of her want to introduce each person to all of the animals. Kangaroos, various reptiles, zebras, chickens you name it! Each animal has ample space, food, water and things native to their natural climate. So many animals to adore and learn about. This is not like any zoo you've been to before! Can't wait to visit again!

Visiting is done via guided walking tours and you interact with most of the animals to include petting and feeding them. They have a variety of animals that you would never expect to find in a rural North Carolina zoo. The first experience upon entering the gate is walking around inside the kangaroo and wallaby enclosure. Rather than filling this space trying to list them all, visit their webpage. Our guide, Jennifer, was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She shared a wealth of information about each of the animals and answered all questions thoroughly. I highly recommend this experience to anyone and every one.
