The Hoodoos are definitely worth a quick visit if you're in the area. It is very unique and cool to see up close, especially with the hills in the background. It was a nice stop and made for some great photos, but it didn't quite blow me away compared to other nearby viewpoints. This is one of the most visited places in Drumheller. Make time to check it out when you're in town. The long or short trip will be worth it. It may not compare to the Hoodoos in Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah or the Goreme Valley in Cappadocia, Turkey but you will not regret the experience. The Hoodoos are beautiful and are very nice to use as a backdrop for photo ops. The rock formation and landscape alone are the highlight. I am sure the view will be spectacular during sunrise or sunset. This place is a 3 hour drive from Edmonton where my sister lives. We had a great time taking memorable photos and hiking up to the top. What a fantastic view!!! Make sure to wear good quality shoes when you're planning to hike. It is quiet challenging. But the top view is fabulous. It is a 360 view of the valley. read more

Definitely worth a stop. They had a couple of food trucks there too which I wish we had taken advantage of because everything else we had selected for lunch closer to town was closed. "Hoodoos" are what the formations are called. read more

This is an amazing landmark to visit if you are in the area. We spent about an hour walking around the area and then ate some ice cream before we headed back. I witnessed some visitors making their own dangerous paths climbing. It is most likely death or broken bones if anyone slipped and fell off the higher points. The view, itself, was worth the drive. I suggest spending anywhere 30 mins and up exploring the area. There were two ice cream stalls and one souvenir stall in the parking lot area. read more

Beautiful and amazing! This place is about an 1 1/2 hour from Calgary it's kinda a far drive. We were deciding whether or not to go here and does it worth it. And the verdict: you'll never regret! This place is beautiful! Requires no hiking at all! The parking is literally across the street for $2, can't beat that! And the view is 360 of the whole mountain/valley. The rock formation formed beautifully. I personally think the hoodoo looks like a giant King mushroom. Had I wear a better shoes I would go all the way up to the top. I like easy hikes and good views and this place totally satisfied that. We saw a couple taking their wedding photos here too! We drove 1.5 hour to get here and we thought it didn't worth that drive at our first glance from the parking. However, as we were climbing up the rocks, we really enjoyed it. I cannot believe there are no other reviews for the Hoodoos. You guys this was amazing! The landscape in Drumheller and the Badlands is straight out of a Spaghetti Western. An absolute must if you are in the area. The Hoodoos are found a short drive from Downtown Drumheller, along Highway 10. There is a campsite and RV park nearby if you are into hiking and camping. The Hoodoos are natural sandstone formations with rock caps, that stand up to 20 feet tall. We just stopped for an hour or so but it was fantastic. So many amazing photos of the rock formations. A few people were climbing and I'm pretty sure that's frowned upon. we did a bit of the trail which was fun. I'd love to go back again and take pictures at sunset. It's already stunning but I think that would be incredible to see. read more

If you have never visited before the Hoodoos are a not to miss! So much fun to explore and quite a sight to see! The only downfall is the careless tourists who vandalize and litter the area. Treat the area kindly and it will be around for generations to come! read more
