Bought a brand new Rheem Hot Water Heater from Home Depot today. Installed it and it will not light. Find out it has a known defect. Home Depot will not take it back. If we try to fix it ourselves, it voids the warranty. No customer service for Rheem available until tomorrow C.T. What a nightmare!!! Shame on Home Depot and Rheem. Service at the uniontown home depot is the worst. It's like the employees hide from you , then if you do find one they never show up to help you. Ordered Carpet and padding. No longer make the good carpet I want so had to settle for cheaper. What a fiasco. Took them 2 hours to order. Really. They have been doing this for how many years and how many thousands of times and it's not down to less than an hour yet???? Lord help us all. Was always told never to use Home Depot for this or appliances or really anything but didn't listen. They measured the carpet on the first trip. Didn't check for transitions or any hardware required. Called and came out to install the carpet. The two guys showed up. Ahh. We can't install. Nobody cut the transition from the carpeted dining room area to the kitchen hardwood floor area. Nope can't install have to reschedule. They called a few days later to reschedule transition. Waited three hours for the transition guy. He cut my hardwood floor in the kitchen. Took two hours. Tony the manager at Home Depot had to drop everything he was doing and drive to my house from the store to bring the transitions. Wow. This must be the first time they installed carpet cause no one knows who is doing what. They said they would come out the next day to install carpet. No call. No nothing. Got up at 6a to move furniture out of the way. No call no nothing at 12 noon I called in to see what the deal was. Oh we will be there by 2p. 2 p came and went ok Called at 3:00pm oh we are running late. I advised them they needed to reschedule cause they weren't going to do a install at 10pm. Of course I got the song and dance, oh yes our team is dedicated. They will be out there at 10pm to install. I called Mark, Mgr Home Depot. He apologized blah blah blah. Can I get my 5000 dollar carpet and padding installed. We are so sorry You have waited all day. He would call the installers and get it taken care of. How many thousands of carpets have they installed and they still don't know how to schedule installers. Of course the installer then texted me (no phone call) to advise they can't install tonight. Duh. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure that out. So basically they came out the next day and it took them 5 hours to install. I wasted 15 hours of my time while I couldn't do work for my clients because I'm waiting for carpet installers and my home is in shambles with the furniture all skewed and no work around for a desk to do my work. I thought it only fair they compensate me for my wasted 15 hours. They gave me a 300 credit. My billing 15 hours is 1500 dollars. Home Depot doesn't not value their customers or your time. Buy from Empire carpets. They know what they are doing and even include carpet cleaning for three years in their price which was cheaper than Home Depot. Had to follow up with Home Depot.
