This Home Depot was large and spacious. It looked like they typically had a wide selection and variety of items available. The store looked like it was typically clean and well-organized. The staff appeared quite attentive. The Home Depot was conveniently located. There was a large parking lot that made using the store easier. There were also stores nearby that were appealing, e.g., Super Target, Dollar Tree, O'Reilly's AutoParts. I appreciated having self checkout as an option. read more

Home Depot is not someplace I frequent, but I am a professional window painter and I was excited that they started carrying Zebra brushes which make my job exponentially easier. They have great artist set for about $10. I walked in, walked directly to the paint section, grabbed the brushes, and utilized the self checkout. I was self sufficient so I did not experience any problems. They do ask for exact change on the cash self checkout due to the penny being removed from circulation. I miss their free Starbucks machine from pre-COVID times, haha! read more

I came her to find custom blinds for a corporate rental. It was easy to navigate this very large store. I was greeted when I came In. The signs helped me navigate the store. I found their departments to be organized; well stocked: and clean. Prices were easy to find, not confusing at all. They had houseplant sales. Outside charcoal grill sets. Gas grills sets. Everything you would expect in a Home Depot. I was assisted in the Blinds Department. He was friendly and helpful. I did check out the appliances. as I was in need of a set for a corporate rental. I found their selection to be Vast, Various, and Very competitive. 3 V's of Investors. High end and lower rental end- All spectrums. As an investor, I won't put high end appliances in our units; , as they will be abused and not cared for with the same care as an owner occupier would care for it: So moderate prices are important for us., without sacrificing Quality. We all want a good value at a good price. I do believe their prices match investor prices , and home remodelers bargain prices . Clean store. ^ it's $39 for delivery, with no maximum on number of appliances! They also have trucks you may rent by the hour or day if you have larger items to deliver yourself . I reserved a box truck to rent from here. The morning of my reservation less than two hours before I was supposed to pick up the truck I received an email letting me know that my reservation had been canceled. Don't take the reservation if you aren't going to have the truck. I had to scramble to figure out something else the morning of. You can't trust this business to honor its reservations. read more

I've been to this Home Depot a few times in the past month and there is never anyone on the floor to help you. Specifically the section where the doors at, I brought my elderly mother as she is the one that needed help and had questions about doors. This previous time I went to flag someone down in a different section and of course that isn't his section and he would call the guy of that section to help me in aisle 30. We made our way to aisle 30 and waited there for about 10 mins until we just decided to leave as no one was probably on there way. We had a great visit here to get a few plants for ourselves and a few gifts! The social distancing reminders here are excellent. There is signage inside and outside of the store. There was even a large garden center set up outside in the parking lot with wide aisles with a huge selection. To get in the store, there was a socially distanced line and everyone of course had to have a mask to enter. We went straight to the usual garden center to pick out our goodies. Everything was nicely organized and every employee I saw had a mask on. They had a great selection in the inside garden center as well. I could have been in there for hours shopping around. I picked out a cute little succulent and a pot to put it in. I loved that they had various types of succulents. My favorites ones are the two toned ones! I picked out another house plant and we also got some fresh herbs to plant: basil, oregano, thyme, and rosemary. The basil and rosemary plants were plentiful but the oregano and thyme were going quick! We snagged another pot for the second house plant we were getting as a gift. Their pot selection here is so nice. All different types of colors and sizes. We found a purple-blue hand painted clay pot that worked perfectly for what we wanted. I was very happy with all of our selections. For checkout, they had the clear dividers to separate us from the cashier. The cashier was fine. Didn't show any expression but wasn't rude by any means. I'm sure these employees are working long hours and keep it up because you're doing great! One thing to note, if you have to return anything, expect about 20-30 minutes wait time. We came on a Thursday night. We realized we accidentally bought two bags of fertilizer so I stood in line to return one. There was only one cashier and a line of about 6 people that moved very slowly. The gentleman who ended up opening a second register was kind and quick with my return! read more

Ordered online through the home depot site which they keep pushing as a viable means to shop without "wasting time". I ordered a 64 Qt. Latching Box and a Dayton 12 in. Wide by 10.95 in. Tall Black Self-Watering Plastic Planter the night before and each stated the store had 6 to 7 of each item respectfully. The next day I got an email that the store cancelled my entire order due to the items are no longer in stock. I checked online again and took screenshots. Now I can see the latching box, maybe, being cancelled but the planter is shown in stock on their site. I am not sure if the location is updating their inventory so that online site is correct in what they are offering or the store associates are just lazy. We go to this Home Depot quite often, it's not even the closest one to our home but we always go back because we've never had a bad experience! This Home Depot is very clean, always well stocked, and I've never had a problem getting help or finding an associate when I need one. The entire store had hand sanitizer stations and all associates were wearing masks. They have a large parking lot, tons of stalls for online/curbside pick up, and many carts and dollies available right when you get out of your car. Keep it up! Love to have high-quality locations like this one so close by. read more

Bought a gallon of paint that sat unopened in my home for one week, went to use it and it already went bad. Didn't smell that bad right out of the can, so we painted our bathroom with it and it has smelled like sour milk for days. I needed a board cut at 14 7/8 x 16". The young man in the lumber department argued that he couldn't do that because he couldn't cut 7 or 8 He can't make a cut under 10". I finally explained to him that it was almost 15" So he cut a board for me 14 1/8 x 16. The customer service department explained that it's not perfect which I understand however 3/4 of an inch is a pretty big gap especially since I had to explain what 7/8 was to the guy cutting. I was transferred to the rudest women named Laverne who told me that wasn't a full inch wrong and what did she want me to do? I told her I would like her to make sure her lumber staff can read a tape measure. I was hung up on Incompetent and exceedingly rude. read more

I returned 3 items one without a wrapper which contained the bar code, Hispanic girl heavy set girl said she could not take it. I asked her to look it up. She called an older white lady with white hair. She said I can't find it on my system so go bring me an identical piece or I can't return it. I thought that was their job but I said fine. Came back 3 minutes later. They took off to break. I had to start the process over with another cashier. Need to shop? Good luck trying to get through any aisle. They can't send me another one. They say I have to cancel with my bank. AND I have to contact the shipping company to get verification. I hate the way it smells and I especially hate explaining what I need to strangers. Everyone I spoke to today at this Home Depot was wonderful! So polite, super knowledgeable and incredibly patient. I'm not sure how their training works, but each person I talked to either walked me directly to where I wanted to go, or knew exactly what aisle to send me to. It was impressive to say the least. We hired this Home Depot to remodel our 10' x 10.5' kitchen over 6 months ago. They said they could get started in 4 weeks and would get it done in 1 Week. We had already removed all the floors and cabinets ourselves so we believed it could easily be done. Over 5 months later, it's still not finished. When they started the demolition, they didn't cover anything in the adjacent rooms or put up the plastic curtains that other vendors do until we sent them pictures of the layers of dust throughout the house. The biggest problem was with the appliances (also purchased from this Home Depot). On their first delivery attempt, they said the refrigerator was too big, so they took it back and we purchased a whole new set of appliances including a smaller refrigerator. During the second delivery attempt they brought us somebody else's damaged refrigerator. On the third attempt, the guy said it wouldn't fit. I told him that it's the same size as the old one which was removed and made a suggestion on how to get it in. He responded by saying "no, we already spent too much time on this". On the FOURTH delivery attempt, the guy said his delivery order was for "drop-off only" and he placed the refrigerator at the front door and left. When my wife got home from work, she and I carried the 242 pound refrigerator up the spiral staircase. I'm not a big guy by any stretch and my wife is smaller than me. I reached out to the district manager by phone and email 2 weeks ago but haven't received a response. There was a 4 hour window for each of the 4 delivery attempts requiring a total of 16 hours of my time. The designers at the store apologized but offered nothing else. Several of the cabinets arrived damaged and many were/are pitted. Trim pieces are out of alignment and there are gaps between the cabinets and ceiling. We were without water in the kitchen for nearly 2 months. We paid for this entire job in advance. This job could easily have been done in under 2 weeks if Home Depot's subcontractors didn't jump back and forth between jobs. And the appliances obviously do fit through the front door. read more

I've had good experiences at this Home Depot. Employees are glad to help. I've been able to have keys duplicated at the service desk, find random home items like a spring-loaded window rod or foam tube. The only improvement that would make things a lot easier is to re-organize the store so there is a better sense of order when it comes to finding items in similar categories. I've had to search the entire store, only to have to get an employee look up the exact location of an item. read more

Every time I try to check stock in the store by phone it takes me 10 minutes on hold, they come back and say "what was that model number again" UGHHHHHHHHHHH. I was just reminded as to why I do not shop at Home Depot. I walked the Broadview location this evening with the intent of purchasing two new PVC gates for my fence. The first person I saw was some kid that told me if I go over the the "service" counter, they'll be able to help me. WRONG!!!! I go over to the service counter and was handed off to another gentlemen that didn't know what he was talking about. He then took out his cell phone, goes on the Home Depot site and shows me different gates and tells me that the person installing them will have the hinges and door latches I need. WRONG AGAIN!!! They basically had know one staffed, no knowledge and I ended up walking out of the store empty handed with the intent of spending money... they must think Toys R Us and Sears chose to end their business!! He claimed dogs weren't allowed and I acknowledged what he has said and explained my dog was a service animal for medical alert. He continued to disrespect me and I just left. Cashiers are CLUELESS! I had a coupon for free product which was $3.97. The first two cashiers didn't know how to process the coupon. The third cashier told me that I had to pay the tax, and I agreed. Then she told me that the tax was 94 cents. That's almost 24% tax! These idiots couldn't even understand this concept. BASIC MATH, folks! I took the coupon to my local hardware store, got the free product, and was not charged ANY TAX. This Home Depot used to be a pleasant experience with knowledgeable staff. I do like this store and its location, easy to get to and easy to work with. I go here 1 time per week to pick-up things for the house. It is a never ending battle, and if you use the good stuff it will last longer. Trust me I learned this the hard way. Most of the people that work here are willing to help if you ask for help. Sometimes I have come up and ask me if I needed help with something, which is nice. Most of the advice I have asked for is very helpful and I get the jobs done. The garden dept is tops and has a great selection of plants and garden needs. Last year we build 2 very nice retaining walls at our house for a humming-bird garden and they were a great help in looking for plants and how to build proper walls. We will continue shopping here as they know what they are doing. read more

I have gone from disliking this store, to just plain hating it. I again waited for 30 minutes to get some paint last weekend. While I was waiting to be helped, an acquaintance of one of the employees walked up and was helped before myself and another customer who had been there a few minutes longer than I had. We have also been trying for six days to buy a battery for our new backup sump pump (which we unfortunately bought at this store). On Wednesday we were told they'd be in on Friday. On Friday we were told they'd be in on Monday. On Monday we were told they were there, but out back on a truck and we should come back Tuesday. On Tuesday we went back at 6 and were told told that it was still on the truck and we should come back at 9. We finally wised up and called at 9.30. It still had not been unloaded. I've visited HD twice in the last month. The first time was primarily in the garden section. The Depot does have a large selection of flowers and they are decently priced. I managed to walk away with enough flowers to fill up four pretty big planters as well as a few veggie plants and the bill didn't break my wallet. I will say, it was a Friday early evening and trying to find a sales person was pretty hard to come by. They should really get more bodies in that garden section during planting season. The second time I was on the hunt for a grill, it was Memorial Day weekend, and I had so many employees be super helpful, friendly, and even funny. Heck, some random guy in the parking lot actually helped an employee load the grill in to my car. Overall, a great day at the HD. read more

It's a big box store. HD does a good job with having materials for 1000's of different jobs. Good tool selection for the contractor. Working on furniture I would recommend Rockler or Woodcraft. HD caters to the DIY and contractor. They always have what I need, fair prices, most of the staff is knowledgeable. It's my go to store. Easy to get to, ample parking, friendly staff. read more

Not big on the big box store But they serve a purpose some times and are better if you are a DYS'r and don't need to ask a Lotta questions like tonight I needed a set of keys and they make keys for like a $1.60 each so I headed to the big box the get my cheap keys made up now a days its a shooting match as to weather your keys will work when you get home or not, as they all use these automated machines with cartridges that cut the keys but you still need to know what you are doing like tonight I had one lady help me and make up my keys, she then said if I wanted to pay for them right there this other lady would ring me up, well before she rang me up she looked over my keys and was like they don't match up and this one is the wrong key so she threw them away and started over and made me some keys they do work I tried then when I got home read more

So went to Home Depot on thur, got some new plants. Got home and noiced white fuzzy stuff under leaves. On two plants one jade tree and one with big green leaves. Not sure of name, this what they call the white fuzzy. Mealybugs Toke them back to store let the cashier, works in gardening and store mgr know. When i was looking thur to see if their were any without bugs , many where infested. These are very hard to get rid of, they will spread quickly to other plants and take over. So check your plants good before taking home. To find out about Mealybugs look it up, to see care! Also they always have dried out plants, they never seem to water there plants. Just letting people know about bugs, believe me it bad when you get them, i had to get rid of 8 plant's that were just to infested and care for a couple more to and save them. read more
