I will give this place a 2 stars for quite a few reasons. I went there with an idea of previous experience in other salons and by their website, that it would cost me around 100$ for a roots touch up. Though, the total came out to close to 200$. I didn't take any fancy treatments, no out of the ordinary hair cut (only a very slight trim of 1/2 inch). I was happy with the results. It did look good, but not as I am used to. The color was a bit off from what I know, yeah okay I can deal with that because it is still nice. I was booked in for a 2-hour treatment and planned my ride and such with it. A change isn't the biggest deal, and I am hoping that for twice the price I normally pay, I should get something better than I am used to. I leave happy, but not impressed.
The only thing was the aftermath. I am used to be able to go about 2 months without needing a correction again (I go from brown to blonde and my hair grow slow). Though the girl who did my style seemed to have started the roots further out the scalp so that I already had roots showing. I wanted to hide them, that's why I touched them up.
So in about a month I already need to go back again... Not only for the roots, but also because the color has been changing to something quite off as well. I do use a good shampoo to keep the color nicer and longer, and this has never happened before. It is starting to turn orange-y like. Not very my cup of tea.
The treatment didn't take 2 hours, it took over 3 hours. I asked on the phone when I booked that I needed someone fast, it didn't seemed to be a problem at all. It is normally how long this take to any place I have been before. I almost missed my ride, and the stylist was done after the opening hours of the mall.
Overall I paid twice of what I was expecting, and of what was advertised on the website, I got to touch up my roots after only a month when I am used to two. To top it off the toner that was used isn't the greatest of all. It took way longer that I was told to (over an hour more). I don't think I will be going back and I am not recommending it. read more
