"Fault Line" was a face that to me resembled a Russian ballet dancer. Composed with fine bone structure. I couldn't help looking at this painting. "Immersion 3" shows a woman with her slim damp arm and evening wear. "Beauty is the Beads" shows an African man presumably a Masai with a spear and a multitude of necklaces with beautifully colored beads. Sculptors and paintings were all here and I enjoyed this show.

They manage a shell nyartcompetitions.com This is a formal complaint regarding NY Art Competitions due to a lack of clear and prominent disclosure of a mandatory $55 submission fee during the initial stages of the application process. The fee was only revealed at the final step after I had already invested significant time completing the submission. This created the impression of a bait-and-switch or drip pricing structure, where material cost information was not clearly presented upfront, resulting in applicants proceeding through a lengthy submission process without full awareness of the financial requirement. I spent a significant amount of time completing the application under the assumption that all key participation requirements, including fees, would be clearly disclosed at the outset. This lack of upfront transparency led to unnecessary time expenditure and confusion regarding the true cost of participation. I am requesting improved disclosure practices so that all mandatory fees are clearly and prominently stated at the beginning of the application process before users are required to invest time or submit materials. I am also requesting deletion of my submitted materials and personal information from their system and confirmation that this has been completed.

Long overdue praise for the wonderful people at Ko Art Studio in Brooklyn! I can't say enough about…read morehow wonderful they are. I placed 2 of my children in art camp for an entire week. They were well taken care of, exposed to different art mediums, and encouraged in their choice of artworks. I wish we could've had them in camp for more weeks, but we had a busy summer and filled their time with many activities throughout--this was just one of the best weeks they had, especially our son! At the end of the week, we were able to enjoy a folder filled with their lovely works! A treasure I'll keep forever :)

Michiyo is amazing! I cannot say enough good things about her classes. If you go on her website,…read moreyou can see samples of her work. Okay well, you can think, amazing work does not always equal amazing teacher. However, when I took her first class with the Yelp deal, it solidified my impression of her classes. Not only will she help you with the foundation of watercolor, she will also help you improve your painting beyond what you think you can do. I had only take a few classes of watercolor elsewhere beforehand, but I definitely can see the difference in teaching. Her classes are 6 students max and they fill up quickly (so be sure to register early!). It's good because the less students, the more help you can get, therefore the faster you can improve. While her classes are on the pricey side, it is definitely worth it for the smaller class size. The only con is that she only offers classes every other week - definitely wish I could take more!

After her Art Students League three-week workshop, I followed Michiyo to two additional locations, two additional 4-6 week workshops. Each time I learned so much. But she also help them to gain confident in their skills until they outdo themselves. If you are dedicated to learning watercolor, I highly recommend Michiyo.
