Well sorry to say I have to change my rating. I was happy with my hair the first time I saw Madison. Sadly, as I've heard from other people in the past about some stylists, they do great the first time and then it just goes downhill from there! Unfortunately that was my experience. The third time I went in to have a partial foil she was working on somebody else's hair and doing my hair at the same time and I had to wait for hours when she initially told me she was really fast. And by the way she likes to double book (and she told me "yes I do double-book and my clients don't mind") which means she will be doing your hair and somebody else's hair at the same time, I don't think so! I was so frustrated and unhappy with my hair as the very few highlights she put in bled and she blamed it on having to put me under the hair dryer because "I was in a hurry", yeah, after waiting over 3 hours, you think! I've had my hair put under a dryer before and never had any bleeding of the color. I think it was the stylist who was doing two people's hair at the same time and not paying close enough attention. She said "I thought you just wanted a few highlights", in which she charged me $85 and she didn't even do a partial foil which is what I asked for. I went home and looked at my hair and was appalled and I had another person look at my hair to make sure I wasn't wrong and the person said no you're not wrong it looks like sloppy work, so I went back for her to fix it. This time she put in so many lowlights to the point where I was a brownish ash, yuck! and I was a blonde before! And that's what I expected, to still be blonde with a few very subtle lowlights, let me emphasize, with a few very subtle lowlights, where my hair is blonde with some depth, but not to the point where my hair is brown, really?!! Others were shocked and said why do you have brown hair and I said I know, I don't understand. She did not seem to care and I was completely frustrated. Also I don't know how others feel but I don't want my hair done while she's doing another person's hair! I want the focus to be on my hair and nobody else's, so I can be sure that my hair will come out the way I expected by a seasoned stylist. I have never seen this before in all the years I've had my hair done nor have I had any problem with explaining what shade of blonde I want my hair whether you add a few lowlights or not. She put the blame on me for not explaining it right, but the truth is she didn't listen and I told her so. I guess this is how she works, but you as the client suffer the results. I do think she knows hair colors, but she doesn't listen to what you want. I have by chance met a couple of people who have had their hair done by her and they told me they were not happy with their hair. Sadly, She just doesn't listen. So now I have to go to somebody else and pay more money $$ to another stylist to fix it! I worked up the courage to ask for my money back, and she initially agreed, which I thought was very gracious of her, to want to make the client happy. Then she got nasty and accusatory and reneged and I was in shock and she did not give me my money back! Bad business practice if you ask me. Now I'm not saying anything bad about the salon, the others are very nice. But if you really want a good stylist that listens regardless of their experience with hair color, do not go to her, she won't listen and gets distracted. And she's not cheap. She changed the prices without telling me before she did my hair and I came up with a bill so much larger than I thought. Bad customer service if you ask me. I'm sorry I can't recommend this person, she just doesn't accept responsibility for her work. read more
