Fany place with easy food and a very nice bar. When we checked in the place was just open since 3 days. They renovated the bar for one year - great interior they have done a great job. Very nice staff. They have only a small menu all items are between $2 and $6 - tacos, flat breads and also a burger some sweets are missing. Special concept - you have to order the food at the counter in the back of the bar. Kitchen is open style. When ready they ring the bell. It was not busy at Sunday night so that worked fine for us. I'm wondering if this system works if it's really busy. The drinks you have to order separate at the bar - a very nice and long bar. Besides the normal stuff they have also local beer on tap - very reasonable priced. We tried the Flats, the tacos, the folds and also the burger (called high roller for $6!!!). All tasted great - it's not gourmet food but really good. You have to eat by hand - all you get are cardboard plates and a plastic fork. But the quality of food and the prices are right. If you are looking to have a small lunch or dinner and you are fine with some kind of finger food - it's a great place to go. read more

Went for a beer (which includes a good selection of local beers like Haint Blue as well as other Alabama beers like Good People) and was surprised how good the food was. Had a fish curry with great spices along with avocado fries. Fun atmoshpere too. read more

As far as craft cocktails, this is the only place in town that can deliver. I've been patronizing this place in its various styles/ names since the first Old Shell Road wine shop locale. Service wise, it's great. The food is really good and also healthy! (I like the vegetarian options) . That being said, I would like for some more choices for sweet type drinks. Also, keep in mind that they cannot serve you at the tables, which is a massive pain when they are busy. This is why it's a four star: service at the tables issue and I don't like their overall cocktail list. I liked their cocktail list the most when it was at the first Dauphin Street location. But I'm sure their drink list is cutting-edge, I just don't like what is popular now. We need more craft cocktail places like the Loa in New Orleans. read more

I'd give this place 10/5 stars if I could. HANDS DOWN the best cocktails/cocktail menu in Mobile. Seriously, these guys are artisans when it comes to mixing drinks. I've almost worked my way down the entire menu and I have yet to be disappointed. Every drink is so unique and every taste is an EXPERIENCE. The prices range from like $10 - $13 but I'm telling you, it's worth it. They have a cocktail that resembles a White Russian except it's made with fruit loop infused milk/cream AND ITS SERVED IN A FREAKING CEREAL BOWL WITH A STRAWL!!! Like come on??? Probably the best place to go grab a drink in Mobile- the lamb chops are delicious and they have more small plate options. Service is normally pretty good. Sometimes you have to fight to get a seat but that speaks for the establishment in itself. read more

We love going to the Haberdasher!!! They have great hand crafted cocktails and such a variety of liquors to choose from. We usually stop in here around happy hour after work. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the building very unique, and in a great location downtown. Also a plus is it's more of an "adult" bar compared to the other bars downtown that attract a lot of college kids. read more

Kitchen closes at 10, at least on Thursday. The bartender is great, and the fried calamari is well prepared *except* that it's almost too salty to eat. And I like salt. Certainly worth another try. Next time I'll ask the kitchen to let me salt add the salt. read more

Excellent bar to go hang out and unwind. The drinks are excellent, the atmosphere can be intimate at the many tables or there is a section where you can hang out with a bigger group. They also have a restaurant at the back which is phenomenal. From what we gathered it has a rotating menu. We got a burger, potatoes, and cheese naan. Just left the Haberdasher and the bartender was serving other customers as I sat at end of the bar. After he finished serving the other customers, he passed by my end and didn't even acknowledge me. He then went back to the other end, fixed a drink and came back by my end again and still didn't acknowledge me. He then went back to the other end and just stood there.. I do have friends that work here, so my opinion may be biased but they deserve some love. I'm simple with my drinks, I will get a dirty vodka martini or whatever yummy sour/IPA that is on tap. Always perfect, always refreshing. People I'm with always get something fun from their drink menu and are rarely ever disappointed and even when they are it is because of something they didn't like and nothing on the bartender. Disclaimer: we picked the busiest night to try this place. We missed $5 Old Fashioneds by 15 minutes, but even at full price, they were spectacular. All the cocktails looked terrific. The menu also looked wonderful - I really wanted to try the avocado fries - but it would have taken 45 minutes to get food. Haberdashers is definitely a bar, but everything coming out of the window looked delicious. Very loud with the crowd. I need to figure out their off-hours and come then to enjoy this place and their spectacular drinks as much as they should be. read more

Went here for drinks and food but was only able to get drinks since the kitchen was closed. Highly recommend for various mixed drinks. Do not go here if you are planning on drinking beer or wine since it does not do yourself or the skilled bartenders any justice. A different vibe than the original location, but nonetheless still a great bar. I loved the prior location as it felt smaller and more out of the way. Most times I went there it wasn't that packed and it had a laid back chill vibe. This new location is right in a prime location which almost guarantees a full bar most nights (the week I was in town I went every night and it was always pretty busy) which I am sure the owners are looking for. The bar space itself is much larger than the original location and so that sense of intimacy is lost. Given its location, the bar will probably turn into a see and be seen locale for the locals which will also diminish the vibe for me. But in the end the drinks are great, bartenders friendly and knowledgeable, and the overall space is really cool. It's a bar I will check out every time I'm in town. The owners and staff did a great job with the place and I hope the bar is around for a long long time. And the food in the back is reasonably priced and made well. I tried several or the naans and arepas and all were well made a flavorful. $6 burger can't be beat! read more

Have been here several times and usually a good experience. Most recently I went after work when there was a medium crowd - maybe 20 people or less, a couple of booths open as well as a couple of bar stools open. There's no table service, so all orders have to be placed at the bar. I stood at the bar, cash in hand for 25 minutes and the bartender never once looked at me or asked me for my drink order. I finally left and went elsewhere. During this time, several people who came in after me were served. This place badly needs additional bartenders, etc - especially since they have a number of specialty drinks that take a long time to mix. The bartenders should also be more conscious of who's been waiting and how long. I would have better understood if the place was crowded at the time, but there were not lines of people stacked up waiting to order. read more

My favorite bar in Mobile. Best craft cocktails in town. I've had at least half of the current menu of cocktails, and all have been spot on. Order a classic, and they'll know how to make it. They have an extensive selection of spirits, vermouths and other mixers, and bitters. Some house made bitters and syrups too. Typical cocktails will run about $10. Food is secondary for me, but I'm very pleased with the tapas-like selection. We have had the arepas and lamb tacos. Both were delicious and became our favorites. Prices for the food are very reasonable. We have only sat at the bar where service isn't a problem. In the booths or at tables, the expectation is you order at the bar. read more

My wife and i came on vacation to mobile for a week and came to this bar 3 times for a drink.First time was great, barrenders were really great. Next 2 times..... not so much. They have a bartender with glasses who as the worst attitude ever. 2nd time we came in i thoight maybe she was having a bad day. 3rd time.... my wife ordered a beer from another bartender and she was standing next to her. This bar was the perfect place for a nice dinner with drinks with my SO on his first trip to Mobile. I am not typically a cocktail drinker, but the vodka Tomcat was excellent! Very light and not too sweet. I especially enjoyed the maraschino cherry at the bottom that seemed to be homemade. The bartenders are very nice and attentive, and we loved the atmosphere.
