Much more was discussed which led me to believe that she was unfit to be a teacher. I immediately walked to the principal's office and said this would be my daughter's last day. We had such a bad experience that I think we were way over protective at that point but the staff at Stepping Stones Aiea was more than comforting. I called one day and spoke to the director Ms. Carmen and explained our situation and how we were extremely desperate to get our 2 girls into a school that not only we liked but accepted under 2 year olds (such a hard thing to find these days lol) but anyway she invited us there for a walk through right away and explained everything we would need to know. When we first started we had an issue with one of the teachers that was from another school, that we reported to department of licensing and Ms. Carmen made sure while the investigation was underway she was never with my children and then in the end she was moved out of the school. Ms. Carmen was very helpful and very understanding. First off I loved how clean and organized the school is. Parents don't wear outside shoes in the school. You take it off by the door or wear a shoe cover. Every afternoon around 4ish you see teachers sanitizing all the toys and shelves, I have seen them literally sanitizing each and every little toy one by one. With so many little ones in that school I feel that this is one of the most important things and I love how well they do it. You walk in at the end of the day and you can just smell how clean it is. Secondly I love that it is locked and you need a code to enter the building. The last preschool my kids where at you could walk in and go into a class all without anyone seeing you. there was a front desk which no one was every at so it was very scary with how loose the security was. I love that I can leave my kids here and walk out knowing that no one who is not supposed to be in the building will get in. My youngest child has health issues which restricts her from eating certain foods and when I was applying for them to start attending I told them about this. I was required to bring in a doctor's note, which was perfectly fine and then they were able to accommodate her. This school does not provide lunch; we bring home lunch daily but they do provide 2 snacks daily. Due to her being in the toddler class, she was 17 months at the time she started, she was given a high chair with her name and food restrictions on it so that she couldn't take others foods or the kids can't share. The director even bought other items of food to replace the food she can't have on days they had the items. There was an issue with the daily reports on the parent post where it looked like she was given food she wasn't allowed, but it was a misunderstanding and Ms. Carmen made it so we would get a photo of her eating each meal to have peace of mind. They really go above and beyond for the children in their care and the parents. You can tell that they love what they do and that they truly are in the right field of work. My oldest daughter no longer attends as she goes to DOE now but she loved her teachers and still talks about them and we had to put photos up in our home to help her feel better about no going there anymore. I would recommend this school to everyone I know as they have been nothing but the best for our family and we are so happy we found them when we did, only wish we found them sooner :)

The cost was so much cheaper than the Montessori school I sent her as well, and meals and snacks were included in tuition! They were open for essential workers during the mandatory stay at home, but now are open for all student now that many parents have to go back to the office. If you're looking for a great 3-5 year old preschool I could not recommend alphabet land more!

When we ask our Granddaughter if she wants to go to Gymboree, she gets a big smile on her face, claps her hands and yells out "YAY!". It is so nice to have a safe and clean place to take the kids, where they not only have a lot of fun, but they also learn a bit every class. The staff does an amazing job guiding so many energetic and curious children through various (and always changing) activities. There is also free time when we can enjoy playing with our Granddaughter on all the equipment. If you are looking for a place where Keiki, Parents and Grandparents can share a wonderful experience, we highly recommend giving Gymboree a try!

Sings songs and practices alphabets at home, talks about park (yes the go outdoors to the park), talks about movies and being a princess and so much more... Once you get to the door you have to be buzzed in (again very secure), once child has put away their shoes and they say good morning they go to wash their hands and then join everyone.If you come early enough they serve breakfast. Food is included in the tuition. They do activities, get naps, and even get TV/movie time (yes I approve as my daughter will talk with me about what she watched and explain what is going on), playtime, one on one time (if needed), etc. As a parent I love the fact that they give structure but love...if you are a parent who's not super big on structure this is not the school for you. I appreciate the fact that they will make kids walk in (no carrying as we all have 2 feet), they dont give into tantrums, no toys from home, and healthy (as possible )food options. One day, after picking him up, he told me in the car that someone had been bullying him. He had visible scratches on his neck and a bruise on his cheek. Nothing compared to how I felt when I visited St. Timothy's preschool. I was so disappointed with the other places that I was considering staying home with my child until she became Kindergarten ready. So take it from me when I say, this school WILL fulfill the job duties you are looking for in a provider. The whole team works well together, I have witnessed this daily. The classrooms are very clean which seems to be a hard task for many of them, so I very much appreciate the fact that they focus on having a clean classroom and put a lot of attention in good hand washing for staff and the children, and the carpets get professionally cleaned nightly from what I hear. The school yard is separated by 2 different areas based on age groups and they even have a well-cared for sand box and many bikes for each child to play with. You never hear loud words or inappropriate communications/discussions going on. These group of women are here for the children and it was such a breath of fresh air to see this. From the beginning, myself and my daughter was welcomed and was given plenty of time to get comfortable with the school before I let her go at it alone and they didn't mind, in fact, the Director welcomed it and the teachers supported it positively. They were very patient with me, and despite my child crying a lot in the beginning, they were very loving, caring, and understanding of both of us. Daily I see these teachers play, sing, laugh, read stories, and support each child's emotional, intellectual, and physical development in many ways. My child loves to come to school here! She tells me she wants to go see her friends and teachers every morning on our drive there. My child is currently in the Buzzy Bees classroom and they do a phenomenal job in engaging them daily. Ms. Judy and Ms. Rena are the two teachers that lead this classroom, but I have been witness to the teachers that come to help out at different times and/ or different days and they are all very loving and supportive to the children also. I say this many times, because it is not for "show" for the parents, I can really tell and feel my child's demeanor when she is dropped off and picked up how she feels about her school. The school also participates in the creative curriculum which stimulates their early learning education. They do arts and crafts, put on school programs, parties, learn about each others cultures, just to name a few. I am above satisfied with this school and all their hard work they do daily. It is not an easy task to care for children all day, everyday, and they seem to do it effortlessly. We are members of another baptist church but we don't feel any pressure to join their church either. My son is diagnosed autistic with ADHD and needs ABA therapy at school but the school was so accommodating, they helped us with our individual needs and the teachers are always willing to take that extra time and effort to work with the ABA therapist and set up meetings with us parents to see if our son needs medication adjustments. Thanks to the extraordinary support from the school staff, especially Ms. DK, my son has improved dramatically and we are so thankful for their continued support. Not only are the staff so nice, I don't think I have met a group of kids so sweet and nice. From 8th grade to preschool, this school is so good at encouraging kindness and understanding.
